Re: WayForward Would Like To Make A Metroid Game

misswliu81

@I-U aliens: infestation was a really good game on the DS and yes, it was very reminiscent of the 2D side-scrolling metroid games such as super metroid, metroid fusion. i always wanted wayforward to make a 2D metroid game with retro studios/nintendo EAD/gearbox making the 3D metroid game for wii U.

so yes, please!

Re: Wii U Holiday Sales Projected to Exceed Wii Launch

misswliu81

so from based on some of the comments i've read people are saying the Wii U won't do as well as the wii because it doesn't have motion controls that made the wii successful. yet, for all the positives of the wii, the truth is, it lacked major third party games. those ended up on the PS3, xbox 360.

and still with the wii U getting good third party support so far, people are complaining? i don't get it. so what if the wii U's sales won't exceed the Wii's over the 6 year period? as long as it makes enough money for nintendo to tide them over, as well as still leading the next console generation, like they did with the wii, i think nintendo will be ok.

Re: Miyamoto's Ideas for Metroid can be Found in Nintendo Land

misswliu81

i can definitely see a metroid wii U game looking and perhaps playing in a similar fashion to metroid blast. an over- the- shoulder type experience but where you get to see samus in full, not just her arm cannon. it can work well.

and with the 4-player mode in metroid blast, maybe it might be good to throw in anthony from metroid other M as a playable character, not just samus. the second player controls him by holding the wii-remote sideways or using the wii U pro controller.

Re: Hori Set To Release Wii U Arcade Stick At Launch

misswliu81

i think it's a good idea. i often play fighting games in the arcades with the stick so i'll be used to this way of playing. really hoping that fingers crossed with tekken tag tournament 2 doing well for the wii U, we will see streetfighter, king of fighters, virtua fighter, dead or alive, soul calibur on the system too.

Re: Feature: Looking Back at Six Years of Wii

misswliu81

i think when many fans look back on the wii, many will say the wii had great first party games courtesy of nintendo themselves but that third-party support was sorely lacking. though it didn't help the console was underpowered compared to the PS3, Xbox 360. and yet, sales prove who won this generation in terms of hardware sales. it was the wii that did so.

i'm hoping, as well as looking forward to the wii U, as well as the nintendo games, third party support will be stronger this time round than the wii's.

Re: Feature: Reinventing Nintendo's Major Franchises on Wii U

misswliu81

i'd love to see legendary starfy on the wii U, as well as elite beat agents sequel.
also, a new advance wars game would have the map on the touchscreen and mach rider would be a great one to remake or make a comeback.

imagine the touchscreen acting, as the visor and you press the buttons to shoot guns from the bike!

Re: Mega Man Fans Troll Capcom Following iOS Social Game Announcement

misswliu81

the only current games i am interested of theirs is monster hunter 3 ultimate and E.X troopers. but alas, they're not going to localise the latter game, sadly.

why don't capcom give up the rights to the megaman I.P and have someone like nintendo pick up & rejuvenate it? because they don't care for it, just as much as they don't care for rival schools, final fight, power stone & their lesser known I.Ps.

but alas, all they do is milk streetfighter & resident evil to death.

Re: Review: Geist (GameCube)

misswliu81

i know a geist sequel for the wii U is highly unlikely, but if it were to happen & fix the flaws that dogged this game, i'd be more than happy to get my hands on it.

geist was pretty solid- i enjoyed it.

Re: Talking Point: Games That Need Wii U - Resident Evil 6

misswliu81

i know some wouldn't want this game on the wii U given the mixed reviews RE6 has received on the PS3, Xbox so far. but ninja gaiden 3 coming to the wii U is also a PS3, Xbox title with added additions to the game play. so if RE6 came to the wii U and turns out to be a better version of the game, then i'd be up for it.

Re: Bayonetta 2 Dev: Wii U Exclusivity Isn't a Snub, It's About Reaching a Wider Audience

misswliu81

@Silverbullet89 if enough people had bought the game and the sales were higher than they were, then maybe the sequel might have been released for the 360 and PS3.

but alas, it's not going to happen. for now at least. and for platinum games, kudos to them for releasing this on the Wii U, so that nintendo gamers can experience how good this series is. bayonetta is one franchise that can do with a boost in terms of gaining a much bigger fanbase and audience than it already has.

Re: Bayonetta 2 Dev: Wii U Exclusivity Isn't a Snub, It's About Reaching a Wider Audience

misswliu81

@BXXL nintendo with the wii U are trying hard to get developers and publishers to put out quality titles on the system. yet for some people, their blind anti-nintendo biasedness is saying 'i'm not buying a wii U to play bayonetta, because nintendo is for kids and they made the wii , which was a kid's console' . that is spite and ignorance.

the attitudes from some gamers today, is just unbelievable to see.

Re: Bayonetta 2 Dev: Wii U Exclusivity Isn't a Snub, It's About Reaching a Wider Audience

misswliu81

sadly, some of the fans who raged about this game coming on the wii U were under the misguided impression into thinking platinum turned their backs on them and lied. yet SEGA did NOT want to continue to fund this game. it was they who chose not to publish Bayonetta 2. platinum did nothing of the sort whatsoever to some sony, microsoft fans who still are whinging over this.

and then nintendo came in and helped out.

i'm just happy it's coming out because the first game was quality and bayonetta is an interesting character, so it's about time nintendo gamers get to experience a bayonetta game on a nintendo console for the first time.

Re: Bayonetta 2 Will Be Exclusive to Wii U

misswliu81

nintendo gave this series a new lease of life. bayonetta 2 was dead when sega decided not to publish this game. sony and microsoft were silent about it, then nintendo came in. i read a tweet from sega themselves who said they are assisting platinum and nintendo in developing this version.

i think some of the complaints from some non-nintendo fans is understandable; however, the original game wasn't a massive seller on the PS3, xbox 360. had it sold more copies, then maybe the sequel would be available for those systems. and the constant whinging and threats aimed at SEGA and platinum for putting this on the Wii U, instead of the Sony, Microsoft consoles is sad to see.

but this is great- this was the highlight of the presentation for me, even all the other games announced like the new monster hunter game from capcom was another one worth waiting for.

i enjoyed bayonetta 1, but having this as an exclusive on the wii U, is just fantastic.

Re: Those Wii U Launch Details Might be Coming in September

misswliu81

@warvad smash bros won't be ready this year and it's doubtful they'll retail it at $150.

i'm looking forward to this media event and as well as seeing more footage of games already confirmed for the wii U, it would be extra nice to see some more announced titles as well that day. so bring it on!

Re: Team Ninja Interested in Another Nintendo Collaboration

misswliu81

my thoughts:

whoever came up with the storyline- sakamoto that is- needs to either write a better story or leave it up to someone else.

whoever came up with the idea for samus not to be able to use her weapons unless she was told to do so by adam and the 'concentration thing' in order to replenish lost health- ridiculous ideas

whoever decided that samus cannot move whilst in first-person mode - again, this should never have been considered in the first place.

the voice acting i didn't have an issue with- i felt it was more of a case of the actress being made to make samus sound like that; and not that the actress was awful.

as for team ninja, i for one would not want them involved in the next game- but if they are indeed developing metroid for the wii U, they need to take into consideration the faults and criticisms pointed out by some of the fans regarding the gameplay and the controls of other M, and to use those points of criticism, in order to help them make a better metroid game.
