@dartmonkey Umm seriously!!!! How did you not even mention Root???? It sits currently at #26 on BBG top 100, only 3 behind Wingspan. Please update your list NL.
@kryptonite73 actually yeah I seem to have had an issue with left turning, but mostly noticed it on 200cc. But on 200cc, like in MK8 deluxe, you should actually break for sharper turns.
Its cute that they show you the outline of the course by using blocks/cups or other little objects but in practice these items are more trouble than they are worth. If you collide into them, which happens a lot because, well, kids .... and bananas, they will of course move and cause a mess. Large and unmovable objects works much better as a barrier, plus you need to hold down those gates (cans of beans work best). Finally print out more arrow markers! (https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/10/ruined_your_mario_kart_live_cardboard_gates_dont_worry_you_can_print_more_at_home).
P.S. When creating the course make sure you take wide turns, rather than drawing it using the racing line. This tends to prevent the Koopas from 'cheating'.
Yes for sure, might buy a couple actually cause I have some of the Hori gamecube like controllers (luigi, Mario and Zelda), and they connect via the classic controller port. This is perfect!
Alex thanks for your review. But as you mentioned these Labo kits are not targeted to traditional gamers nor really adults without children. From the beginning Nintendo has been specifically targeting youths who want to be creative. This should be kept in mind for any who are contemplating a purchase. Since I showed the trailers for Labo to my kids they have been counting the days till it arrives in the mail. We've even sketched out custom designs for the House and the RC cars and got some supplies from the craft store. Personally I can't wait to share this experience with my kids.
@McGruber there are quick time events for combat, the timed dialog choices, pick one of 4, are very common. And a little bit of point and click detective scenes, where there is some limited character movement.
I picked it up already and very much enjoyed it. Playing felt like binge watching on Netflix! I actually didn't notice the graphical issues compared to the other platforms because I've never played it on them. So from a fresh perspective it looks great and was convincingly immersive. I just wonder how many different endings there are? Plus I hope that the new Batman Telltale game will also come to Switch. I really want to enjoy the follow up to this story.
I just bought it. Nintendo please take all my money! (Joy Cons, Splatoon, Chargeable Joy Con Grip, Mario + Rabbids, Odyssey, SNES Classic, Metroid 3DS, Amiibos/Amiibos/Amiibos/Amiibos . . . .the list goes on)
Just tried to preorder on nintendo.com and the eShop but the option to preorder digital is already gone. BTW 74.99$ in Canada. Wow it is expensive, hope its worth it. Where is the Amiibo support too!?!?
I would love some DLC, more missions. And to all those who hate this game for no good reason, you are really missing out on a fun experience. Single player can be tough but it is rewarding when you pull it off.
I think Nintendo did mention that their other mobile entries could be 'Free To Start'. Which is different than 'Free To Play'. The former is more likely a couple of introductory levels or activities but to unlock the rest of the content there will be a price. As respected as the WSJ is I think this reveal is perhaps a misinterpretation and should not be taken as fact just yet.
Maybe the NX will be playable at CES 2017? Aiming for a non-traditional market? E3 is really preaching to the converted gamer, who for the most part is not interested in Nintendo.

With the rate of recent leaks coming true, I do think this controllers look is likely to be real. Albeit that it may change to some degree before it is finally released. Now my question is could the controller double as a cellular device? Now I think that would be awesome. Think of it, Nintendo already has enough apps on the 3DS already to cover the basic needs of most cell phone users, with the big exception of a dedicated email app. Miitomo could cover their initial social networking needs. It could just be possible. But would you buy one?
@Anchel She's pretty good at managing the different systems. Its too overwhelming though when you have to do quick changes on the fly though, eg. turning the engine off and then on again. But she does all the presetup without any trouble. And she can aim the sensor light pretty accurately but I better scan or shot the flare quickly as she will move the scanner to something else that looks interesting.
To all: This is a great co-op game! If you've got kids this should be a must buy.
P.S. Also, for families wanting great co-op experiences, I highly recommend these 3 boardgames: Pandemic Flash Point Fire Rescue Forbidden Island
I want to say a big thank you to the development team for ASA. What an immersive game! My daughter, 3 1/2, and I are having a great time playing, she loves managing the light
I personally don't find I am missing voicechat in Splatoon. When I have used voicechat in other games I have quickly turned it off (mostly racing games for xbox). I found that the vulgar and inane conversations were ruining the experience for me. I would like to chat with friends that I trust and wish this was an option that can be turned on or off. Could even come with parental controls so that a parent could allow or not allow, if they wished. But again at the same time the experience is not broken without voicechat. Lastly WiiU does actually support in game chat, try playing Splinter Cell (BTW a really good game). So clearly the system supports the tech.
Who else is loving all the creative art people are making?!? I think it is great to see the graffiti around Inkopolis switch up with their creative posts. Keep it up!
@bro2dragons that is sweet did not realize the the OlliOlli code gave both 3DS and WiiU games in the one code! I had already give the 3DS code to a friend and had kept the WiiU for myself.
I picked up the whole bundle when I first heard. 5 of the games I actually already had, but some friends and family were happy to get them instead. What a great deal for the consumer but I hope it is truly a positive for the developers.
Accoridng to Nintendo.com - Notice that Canada's Target no longer will get Rosalina
US: Exclusively at Target at launch. Canada: The Rosalina amiibo figure will soon be available in limited quantities at the following retailers in Canada: Best Buy, Future Shop, Wal-Mart, EB Games , Toys 'R' Us and Amazon.ca. Please see your local retailer for more information on timing and availability. The Rosalina figure will continue to be exclusive to Target stores at launch in the U.S.
Ok so the video was a bit tough to get through, but seriously the end was great. Just think how fun it would really be to sit causally down to play some MK8 with these two! Yeah that might be something for a bucket list.
Already started the download And for that matter I download every game now (if possible). Hate swapping discs out of the machine and love the digital promotion! 10% back is great. I use a 1TB external HD.
I would like a port of them as DLC for MK8. That way Nintendo should not need to worry about any consumer confusion about which MK game to purchase. I would pay to have them as DLC too for MK8.
