A new trailer has been released for the upcoming GRID Autosport on Nintendo Switch, showing off the multiple ways players will be able to enjoy the new racer.
As you can see for yourself, there are plenty of different options for you to choose from. Whether you're a fan of traditional racer controls, motion steering, or pretty much anything in between, it looks like you'll be covered.
GRID Autosport for Nintendo Switch will feature a wide range of control options to let players perform at their best:
Classic Buttons — Steer, accelerate and brake with buttons.
Classic Combo — Steer with an analogue stick. Accelerate and brake with buttons.
Classic Analogue — Steer, accelerate and brake with analogue sticks.
Tilt Steer — Tilt your console to steer. Accelerate and brake with analogue sticks.
Mirrored Mode — Left-handed players can flip the default controls.
Custom — Map any control to any button, analogue stick or gyroscopic motion control.
In fact, pretty much the only thing missing is Nintendo Labo Toy-Con Motorbike support, but that's just being greedy.
The game is still on track for a summer 2019 release on Switch. Will you be pulling up on the starting grid? Let us know down below.

Delighted! Also confirmed that the Nintendo Switch version is being ported from the original PC version of the game.
Uggh, can't wait! This looks to be the game I've been waiting for for years to appear on a Nintendo console. Deep driving and customization.
Hopefully a Gamecube controller can be used for analog gas and brake
One of my most anticipated Switch games. Really can't wait to dive into this one!
Scaled down graphics from the PC version or not this still looks amazing
Please don't overprice, please don't overprice...
Hmmm. This is looking like it might win me over. Color me intrigued.
ok you win, take my money!
If I can use my Mario Kart wheel, I'm in.
If that video was actual Switch footage, I'm impressed actually. It looked really good at least to me.
Yet another game that will (hopefully) put the Xenon Racer devs to shame.
Instabuying.
Day one buy for me
Most likely day one. I'm hoping this is "the one" that will prove you can race on the Switch without worrying about turtle shells or be constrained to karts.
One to look at in future
Well this looks great!
Can I use the analogue triggers on a Gamecube controller? (If it works with trials, then...)
If this is in game footage, Gear Club 2 will be deleted from my Switch the day Grid launches. Hope to see more footage soon!
Looking good!
Oh my how I wish this game ran at 60 fps! I'd be so hyped to play it if it did! Oh well, I suppose he wait for a great and smooth car racing game goes on (I do love Horizon Chase, but it'd be awesome to have a racer like Ridge Racer 7, Gran Tourismo 3, 4, 5, 6, Blur (I know it's 30 fps, but still worth playing!), Burnout Paradise, or some other arcade or realistic racer that runs at 60 fps on Switch)
Custom Controls For Every Thing is boys and girls, the thing needed by a Switch Racer so we can actually use PS3/4 wheels and pedals. Cannot Wait.
If they want to tout freedom of control, they should implement Labo Vehicle Kit and gamecube controller analog triggers(like Trials Rising).
Very much looking forward to this
No interest myself but I love the comments here, I really hope this game delivers for you all.
Let's put it this way - this is the first decent racer for the switch so all the hate here in the posts should stop moaning - we have little racing choice and this looks good enough to me!
Glad to see they are allowing custom controls I usually use something like this as my go-to button configuration for racing games:
RZ - gas
LZ - brake
R - shift up
L - shift down
X - look back
Y - change view
A - handbrake
B - this can be whatever depending upon the game
I also love to use the right stick to look around. I am pretty sure this should work well without analog triggers so long as we remember to leave some traction control and ABS on.
@MrKai yep, PS3 wheel support with force feedback would be veeeeery nice
Looking good. Cant wait to pick it up.
Da da da day one!!!!!!!!!
This is day one I say!
More control options are definitely a good thing. It's also great to hear that there will be analog acceleration and braking. Nintendo consoles (bar Gamecube) have been sorely lacking in that department. This is looking more and more like a day one purchase for me.
This looks promising. I enjoyed the pick up and play nature of Gear.Club Unlimited but would like to get into a more serious racing game.
This is looking great. I have the game on PS3 (but never played it, backlog). I don't know whether to wait or if I can hold out or whether I should do play it as a warm up lap?
