Re: EA Acquires Racing Game Specialist Codemasters

@EVIL-C a cool $1.2b

It's easy to say no you wouldn't accept when it's fantasy. That's a hell of lot of money and the share holders were never gonna turn that down and I don't blame them. The developers at codemasters would have also got a nice pay packet from this. I honestly don't blame them at all when you are talking that kind of money.

Re: Hazelight Studios Has No Plans For It Takes Two On Switch, Director Unsure If It's Even Possible

kobashi100

@Casual_Gamer95 even if the switch was powerful enough I would argue developers have no obligation. Wether it's PS, Xbox or switch developers and publishers can choose which systems they want to release software on. When people start calling developers lazy I find that is so disrespectful. The way people just shout this rubbish all because they don't get what they want. They know nothing about the development teams work ethic but think it's cool to call them lazy. At the same time they claim they love the gaming industry which makes no sense at all. Considering we all know how some publishers treat developers with them spending a ridiculous amount of hours per day working, to call people you have no idea about or how they work lazy is pretty stupid.

Sure these people would have a real problem if they were called lazy in regards to there own employment.

Re: Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time Hits Nintendo Switch This March

kobashi100

@V_Gamer smash played no part in this game being released. The trilogy game sold very well and Activision likes making money so ignoring the switch would have been silly.

@NathanTheAsian was never gonna be higher than 30fps. The base PS4 game is unlocked 60fps with performance issues all over the place. Remember Base Xbox one is 30fps also.

Re: Platinum Seems To Have Explained Why It's So Quiet About Bayonetta 3

kobashi100

@Giancarlothomaz dude Bayonetta is never becoming a huge seller just like every other single platinum game. And yes pikmin 3 sales on switch in Japan are great but even with them sales just like Bayonetta it is a niche title! Please let's stop this fantasy that Nintendo can turn Bayonetta into a mainstream big seller. Nintendo revived the series to diverse the library and appeal to the small audience who love Bayonetta. Remember that MS passed on Bayonetta because of the lackluster sales. It was a good business move by Nintendo as it's never gonna be a title that loses money. It serves its purpose!

Re: Platinum Seems To Have Explained Why It's So Quiet About Bayonetta 3

kobashi100

@shgamer I know exactly how much Bayonetta 1+ 2 sold. Like I said it sold in line with what people thought it would. The game flopped hard when it was originally released. The series was dead before Nintendo stepped in. You seriously are comparing Bayonetta to DMC. Bayonetta is selling what Nintendo expected it to sell. Talk of it being cancelled is silly! Where are you getting this idea that Bayonetta has to sell several million to be financially viable. lol Nintendo would have never stepped into to fund the game if that was the case. You are tripping dude!

Re: Platinum Seems To Have Explained Why It's So Quiet About Bayonetta 3

kobashi100

@sixrings really confused why you would think Nintendo would be unhappy with his comments. He is simply stating it's Nintendo's decision to decide when new info can be published on games they are publishing. I really can't see the problem here!

@shgamer this is a joke post right. Bayonetta was never a big seller on any system. Nintendo knew exactly what they was getting when they funded development of 2 and now 3. Bayonetta is selling in line with what people expect. The game sells well enough to cover development costs by the way.

Re: Cloud Gaming Service Google Stadia Shuts Down Internal Development Studios

kobashi100

@Ventilator WTF are you going on about? Good grief, I have told you why sony and Nintendo won't ever allow gamepass on there platforms because as a business they don't want to throw away the 30% fee they get from third parties and you simply ignore that little detail and start telling us how good gamepass is. The quality of gamepass is not the debate.

Also when did I say PSnow was superior. I said the fact you said that sony won't allow gamepass on its platforms because it's superior is ridiculous. You keep ignoring the 30% fees Sony gain from third party sales like its some small thing. No business will just throw away a big revenue stream like that.

I honestly have no idea why you wrote all that.

Re: Cloud Gaming Service Google Stadia Shuts Down Internal Development Studios

kobashi100

@Ventilator of course Nintendo wouldn't allow it. Do you think Sony would allow game pass on PS5? Why would you throw away that 30% cut you get from third parties for the games that are on gamepass. No business would do this! But hey forget business as it's video games and gamers should get what they want.

Now on to Stadia. Some people are in serious denial. Yes the service works and Google's infrastructure etc etc is superb but the writing is on the wall. The thing is slowly dying and you have to accept that. Reminds me of people who couldn't accept the Wii U was on its deathbed.

Re: Sony's MLB The Show Is No Longer A PlayStation Exclusive, But Where's The Switch Version?

kobashi100

@Mr-Fuggles777 don't really see what that has to do with switch sports games underperforming like you implied with original comment. 2k seem to be happy with NBA 2k sales. Remember they had no issue commentating on the Wii U version bombing and how they were no longer gonna release the game on that console.

The Super mega baseball publishers don't seem to be upset about switch sales. Yes there is not many sports titles on switch but the ones it does have seem to be hitting the publishers targets.

By the way I only just realised you may have meant underperforming in performance rather than sales. My bad if thats the case dude and you can ignore everything I said lol

Re: Reggie Admits Switch Was A "Make Or Break Product" For Nintendo After Poor Performance Of Wii U

kobashi100

Some of you are missing the point. Reggie is not saying Nintendo were in financial ruin after the Wii U disaster. He means the switch was make or break as you can't have successive consoles flopping and losing so much market share. He is totally correct in what he is saying. If the switch was a disaster like the Wii U was do you think people would buy the switch successor? The brand would be in the mud.

Also The Wii U was a mess from day dot. Should have never been commissioned for production and whoever made that decision made a huge error.

Re: Review: Hitman 3 - Cloud Version - Not Perfect, But Perfectly Playable

kobashi100

@NathanTheAsian the satisfactory ports are in line what the switch hardware allows. Developers work with the tools and budget available and have achieved on par results. Developing new multi platform titles with switch specifications in mind is simply unrealistic. The industry continues to evolve with new hardware and developers want to bring there work to these machines in the best possible way. Making improvements from a last gen machine title to current gen will always hold back the potential of software and this isn't good for developers, publishers or customers. Not sure why you have used MH rise as an example. MH rise will not be releasing on PS5 or Xbox series X. Yes it looks like it will be released on PC but when it does the improvements can only go so far.

Re: Review: Hitman 3 - Cloud Version - Not Perfect, But Perfectly Playable

kobashi100

@dres I get what you saying dude. Just wanted to get it out there that not everyone owns a PC/Laptop. I am not gonna get the cloud version but if I did it would be switch over mobile for me just cause streaming games on my phone just doesn't interest me at all plus there is the issue having to buy extra accessories for my phone.
