The FIFA license has nothing to do with player likeness and club licenses.

FIFA license brings the official world cup license and that's every 4 years. It's not worth the money they are asking.

Nintendo are not gonna react to the steam deck. Why would they when it's gonna be a niche product.

Before anyone jumps on my post. I am not saying the steam deck isn't a good product etc etc. Looks great for sure. Just talking about business and it will be lucky to even catch attention from Nintendo.

Good thing is that the steam deck can be a success without competing with Nintendo. As long as it hits the numbers valve expect then it's all good.

@Ultimapunch no music piracy went down once streaming platforms got off the ground. If you think people that were downloading music for free stopped to then actually buy it legally from iTunes then you are crazy. People stopped buying music and they won't be ever coming back.

@Ocaz piracy has always been there though. Wether people are downloading OST or listening on YouTube it's the same result which is Nintendo are not making money from it.

Plus remember Nintendo does offer a service for fans and that's to buy the CD's in Japan. YouTube is available in Japan so of course Nintendo are right to remove the videos. Anyone who says they wouldn't do the same when they have a product available to buy is lying.

Not surprised Nintendo have not put OST on streaming platforms. The amount of money streaming platforms pay the artist is pathetic and Nintendo probably think it's not worth it. I don't blame them for not going down the streaming route.

@Savage_Joe it's been confirmed MLB is publishing Xbox and switch versions. The boxart is not correct.

Correction: Sony publishing retail versions. MLB publishing digital versions.

@Dpishere remember the show was released on Vita. just like NBA 2K series on switch I expect this to be a good port in line with what the hardware can achieve.

I actually said on here last year that pandemic was the reason The show 21 was never released on switch. The developers didn't have the resource to finish the switch version in time for release. Nintendo of America released them tweets teasing it's release because it was confirmed for real. Had no doubts at all about the Switch seeing The show 22.

@Fortysixter is it really any different to somebody buying pieces of art? Anyone with the money available who is buying rare Pokémon cards is doing so as an investment. There is way worse ways rich people are using there money.

@Arehexes different topic but look at sneakers for example. Replica market is getting crazy! Now because the reps are so damn good they can pass these so called legit checks. (There is no such thing as a 100% legit check by the way)

Personally though I have no problems with reps and actually buy them myself from China as I got sick of Nike/Jordan brand and the BS, consumers can't get hype sneakers or even regular Jordans sometimes unless they buy from resellers for ridiculous prices. I decided if Nike are not gonna help consumers then why should I show them any loyalty. Reps are fire!!

Now what I do have a problem with is people selling reps as legit retail pairs. It's scummy and them people need to burn in hell.

The Wii U debacle was not down to Nintendo being cocky. I am not even sure why you even trying to compare Nintendo today to the Nintendo of Wii U era. This idea that the lack of power in switch hardware is gonna see Nintendo in trouble is laughable. This was said on day 1! 5+ years later after huge success people are still sticking to this argument. Truly astonishing!

I live in the UK and just switch my Nintendo account to the relevant European country when purchasing games.

Switch cartridges are an expensive format.

Like I said before I very much doubt the cost of 32GB carts are much cheaper now as there has been very little production. remember Nintendo said 64GB carts were available to produce a few years ago. Do you think that cost is any cheaper?

I would argue the cost is exactly the same due the reason above.

@Morph but Asian publishers were using 32GB carts early after the switch was released. The cost was expensive then so there is no evidence it is now cheaper.

Some Asian publishers are prepared to use 32GB while Western publishers are not. If the price was lot cheaper we would have heard something as it would have been leaked.

@Morph for the price to come down you need to first produce more 32GB carts.

There has been no mass production so I doubt the price is that much cheaper compared to four years ago.

Switch will get another hybrid which will absolutely smash the steam deck into oblivion when it comes to sales. Anyone who thinks different has some ridiculous high expectations of the steam deck.

@DropDash nah my xioami Mi 11 has Gorilla Glass Victus. Not a chance I will put a screen protector on it. Removed the installed screen protector soon as I removed phone from the box.
