So…the giga leak is why they’ve been ultra salty as of late? That’s…that kinda makes sense from a business point of view. But to consumers this doesn’t explain why their recent releases have been so shallow on launch
This year is packed with retro ports ain’t it, we got this, capcom fighting collection just released with arcade 2nd stadium on the way, retro gaming fans do be eating good
@NinChocolate the taito ones have been brought to the western eshop so far, likely due to a deal between them and strictly limited’s parent company, inin
@robr you might have, but that port was the sega saturn version, running on city connection’s zebra engine the same one that cotton 2, boomerang and guardian force used
This isn’t the first time it’s been in English considering we have MAME or similar emulation software to go off of. The first time it’s been out of the arcades most certainly
Serviceable. A lot of deep cuts this time around such as Pnickies and LED Storm/Mad Gear, which I say, “the more obscure, the better” the only thing I do have issue with is that there’s a lot of overlap with previous and upcoming collections, like the fighting collection which has Darkstalkers, this one has it too
Lots of deep cuts this time around, such as last duel and LED storm/Mad Gear, however you’d think that they would have included em in the last one and saved some of the more influential games for 2nd. However the same complaints that certain licensed games aren’t here are still being made, the key word here is “licensed”. Capcom can’t just throw them in at will, they need to strike up a deal with the ip holders first
About tempted to put up the Merlin fish here to sum up my feelings, but i won’t, so instead I’ll I’ll come out with it myself ahem F**k Logan Paul, thoust pretentious ass
While I’m glad these rare games are ported…but man I hope city connection learnt their lesson and made some major tweaks to the engine after the stank that was cotton/guardian force S-Tribute, I feel so bad for success corp after that
Personally, the only candles here that remains lit for me is the fact they are bringing the arcade version of arrangement and pac-attack, other than that I’m but a simple automaton, I don’t need much to make me happy
@RudeAnimat0r I wouldn’t, the dev really, really borked up cotton and considering that once again that it’s Saturn ports, they can and will Bork it up again, not unless they tool around with the zebra engine, or just not even use it
There’s but one issue, ringu isn’t exclusively a horror franchise if the novels are anything to go off of. In fact the genre doesn’t stick with one, it keeps changing especially due to the Hollywood adaptation saying it’s horror and it isn’t, it’s more psychological thriller via the first ringu
Tbh the only way they could be able to localize great ace attorney is if they had to take drastic liberties with sherlock in order to circumvent the licensing fee, so frankly I'm not surprised they caved
Kinda hoping this ends up making it over as well, especially considering the first three hasn't been put on console as dragon quest, discounting the mobile re-releases. While the first two apparently look like garbage and the third looking much like the snes remaster, I personally don't mind a freebie being hidden in 11

Re: Respawn Working On Single-Player FPS Set In Apex Legends Universe
as long as EA doesn’t find SOME way to muck it up, I’ll be fine, taking into consideration respawn is known to make good single player games

@BlueGBAMicro a nintendo takedown for a game going on the switch? That’s gotta be the most paradoxical thing I’ve ever heard

Re: Hideki Kamiya Really Wants You To Play Bayonetta 1 & 2 Before The Third Game
I think I might follow his advice, I have the first on steam but I feel behooved to purchase 1&2 on switch now a digital bundle exists

Yes, but will the 64DD ExPac disc be included? If that’s the case, I’ll give in
Re: Pac-Man Museum+ Will Bring The Retro Vibes To Switch In May
@WaveBoy technically, they are ports from a ps2 collection, only they switched the region flag from Japan to World from the original roms

Re: Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain Gets An Extended Overview Trailer
Played the demo for a bit and…I kinda wish they had more modes available for it. I also dig the ghost battle mode, might consider it for that alone
Re: Pac-Man Museum+ Brings 14 Games In The Series To Switch
Now this is the better compilation compared to the last one, but it still feels like there's some games still absent tho
Re: Namco's Hack & Slash 'The Genji And The Heike Clans' Joins The Arcade Archives
Doesn't look like it's the localized version seen in namco museum vol 4 wonder why that is
Re: Round Up: Eight Awesome Switch Games From The Nintendo Life Indie Spotlight
The funny thing about toree is that it was originally featured on the haunted ps1 demo disc 2020
Re: Eugene Jarvis Is Thinking About Remastering The 'Cruis’n Trilogy' For Nintendo Switch
Thatll be cool, I'd even like to see the arcade versions included for differences, also online and local multiplayer
Re: Talking Point: If Nintendo Switch Online Adds Game Boy, Why Not Throw In GBA, Too?
Personally, I'd rather they skip to GameCube considering a lot of titles (not counting sunshine) haven't seen a re-release in quite sometime

Won't be suprising in the least bit if this leads into Smash X Doom with a heavily dumbed down doomguy
