Koei Tecmo has announced that Nobunaga’s Ambition: Rebirth is coming to Switch later year.
The game – which is the latest in a long-running series – will hit Japan on July 21st, 2022. Those who pre-order the game will get a bonus 'Tensho Sarushibai' scenario.
Koei Tecmo has also revealed that it will release a 'Treasure Box' containing a 'Kou Shibusawa Secret Strategy Data & Officers' artbook, calendar and 2-disc soundtrack.
While some titles in the franchise have been released in the west, recent entries haven't been so lucky – so if you're a fan, then you'll probably have to import this one.

Had Nobunaga's Ambition for Genesis. Imported a mouse to play it. Realized I'm too dumb and lack the patience required to enjoy it, and that's where I still am with the series and Romance of the Three Kingdoms decades later.
I’m still waiting on Nobunaga’s Ambition Taishi to come out here for Switch. Got a localized release, but only on PS4
I really want another Pokemon Conquest
Doesn't seem as appealing without Pokemon
Goodness, I am still playing Taishi.
@duffmmann Same! It's the pride of my DS collection.
What … Japan only!? Man, messin with my Nobunaga’s Ambition is like messin with my emotions.
I remember not getting around to playing the PS4 iteration. I would love to try this on the Switch. A console that would appear ideal for this kind of game.
OMG!!! I'm gonna hunt down a copy of Pokemon Conquest!
Seen those prices!
Wow I just watched an interview from the guy who made this game series! All the way back in the 80s he was the sole programmer and customer support man for this game. Burning floppies with the game on it and stuff. Super awesome. Watch Gamecenter CX y’all it’s great.
Does this have an English option at all? I thought these games were Japanese language only. If there's like a SEA version with an English track, I'll get on it.
I only remember this from the absurdly long, Tokyo Game Show livestream exclusive to Japanese viewers that Koei Tecmo hosted, part of which had a segment for Age of Calamity's 2nd DLC.
I remember renting the original NES game. It came without an instruction booklet, so my friends and I had to stumble through it and make discoveries about what works. I remember planting in the Spring and harvesting in the Fall was a big early discovery that made it playable.
Sure feels like nobunaga has an ambition to conquer japan almost every other week, man should take a holiday
@Ocaz Got a link to that interview please? Nobunaga's Ambition II remains my all-time favourite strategy game. To the extent that I finished it at the hardest difficulty at least once with every single daimyo... AND playing both scenarios.... (so it's fair to say I finished the game over 60 times.... )
