This is kind of a hypocritical statement from the man at Nintendo given some of the mobile games they’ve released. Animal crossing damn near DEMANDS that you pay to play if you want to have a complete catalog. If you don’t then it doesn’t require any money at all

I think they should have released the e3 demo to play on the switch for those who haven’t bought it, or for those like myself who would just like to have another piece of Zelda history

It took me 484 hours just to 100% breath of the wild on both normal and master mode. This guys is a beast

File size isn’t the issue, as much as I love my Switch, and as much as I would support the physical release, the system isn’t capable of running this game without SERIOUS DOWNGRADING THE VISUALS. You guys are asking a Tegra x1 to do what a GTX 1060 equipped core i7 with 16gb of ram can’t handle on max settings... There are some games that should be made for the switch, and some games that the system just can’t handle, and this is one of them. Unfortunately we are gonna have to wait until the next generation of switch hardware releases to get these kind of games on the go (maybe).

Dragonball FighterZ on the other hand should already be out on the switch!!!

So it’s basically a gutted aftermarket left joycon with zero functionality other that a D-pad that isn’t even official Nintendo spec... not only is this a no for me, it’s a HELL NO. I’ll buy an extra left joycon if and when Nintendo makes an official one with ALL functionality INTACT with a Nintendo soec d-pad. I like HORI products, but this is a damn waste

500+ hours for me with 3 playthroughs, one on normal, one on master, and one for speed runs (which I’m horrible at, lol).

I said when I bought the switch day one that we would see an upgrade in late 2019 or early 2020, I stand by that comment.

@Dethmunk the tegra 2 was made to help optimize battery life for the devices that use it. It couldn’t possibly do any better graphically than the current Tegra chip in the switch. The only reason Nintendo didn’t go with the Tegra 2 our of the gate is because it would’ve increased production cost and that price increase would’ve been passed to the consumer, which would have hurt sales. There isn’t even the slightest chance that the tegra 2 chip could produce any kind of “4K” graphics, period. The tegra 3 would be the logical upgrade moving forward, but even then it would probably only make the tablet play things smoothly at 1080p, and docked it MIGHT, MIGHT get 1440p depending on the CPU and the amount of ram they can put in the tablet.

Honestly I wish Nintendo would team up with Apple to get permission to use their “all-in-one” chips like the A10X that they put in the iPhone X, the newest iPads, and the Apple TV 4K. Those chips benchmarked are faster than some modern laptops and could really turn nintendo’s hybrid console into a next gen powerhouse. I know it won’t happen, but a guy can dream!

@FarkyValentine not gonna lie, haven’t started xeno 2 yet. I own it (and have since mid December. Bought it used at Gamestop for $45, couldnt pass that up. Especially since I’m such a fan of the series), can’t wait to start it! Gotta finish some other titles first (MARIO, doom, LA Noire, DB Xenoverse 2, and COUNTLESS digital indie titles! What an amazing system right????

I’d pay up to $125 because of the quality of how these look (I’m talking about the retro design, the carbon design, AND the “make your own” design) but $179 to $199 is just way too much money for what amounts to a novelty aesthetic

@Jawessome anyone who finds the switch to be “weak” is an ignorant hater fanboy who wishes that the console the blindly give cash to could be as amazing as the one Nintendo has given us gamers. The switch will only continue to be better as times goes on with a huge stable of great games continuing to release, as well as ungraded hardware (that will be backwards compatible) in another year or two. I certainly am happy with my purchase and look forward to reaping the rewards or the success that Nintendo has enjoyed and given its fans! All haters can eat a hot dog!

@SonOfVon probably to keep the size of the game under 16GB so they wouldn’t have to pay for a more expensive cartridge given that you can only buy them in 4gb, 8gb, 16GB, 32gb, and 64gb variants... and the more the publishers have to pay for the carts, the more we have to pay for the game in return. It’s the one downside of the switch, and sadly, nintendo requires the prices of the physical and digital versions of games to be identical, so that’s why they probably went with the year old patch/dlc/updates. I do imagine they will bring it up to speed in further updates tho.

This one will be a pass for me tho due to the repetition and lack of a solid crew of switch buddies to rob the AI with 😞

Looks a lot cleaner than Xenoblade 2, unfortunately... I really wish they’d patch it to give the game a better resolution. At some points xeno 2 hits sub 480p resolution portably, which breaks my heart for such a good game 😢😢😢

Steam allows you PLAY a game for up to two hours after purchase and still get a full refund if you do not like it. In my opinion, this should be standard practice across all platforms for digital purchases. Nintendo does so much right, but not allowing for refunds isn’t one of them. If all the home consoles adopted steam’s refund policy, I bet sales would go up with digital transactions instead of down because people would try out games they are on the fence about due to the fact that they can play it briefly, and then decide if they want to keep it. Kudos to Steam for having the balls to make digital purchasing consumer-friendly!

God that was ANNOYING commentary... it’s a shame too because I normally like what he has to say. This does look like a game I will buy tho!

World Series Baseball 95 on Sega Saturn was my favorite baseball game...

They blew the WWE2k18 port, NBA2k18 was good but the way you have to get virtual currency ruined it. LA Noire was fantastic... hopefully they’ll realize that GTAV is a no-brainer and a must have on the switch

@shani honestly the second year upgrade hardware seems leaps and bounds better than their predecessors. I think the VR genre is only going to get better, and I agree with you completely, it will only become more affordable as it becomes accepted by a broader audience

I have over 450 gold coins that are going to start to disappear soon because I can’t spend them on ANYTHING worthwhile!!! I already own or have owned most of the major 3DS titles, I don’t have a Wii U anymore because I got $240 for it at Gamestop when I traded it in during the Switch launch last March, AND THERE ARE NO SWITCH REWARDS ALMOST A YEAR AFTER ITS LAUNCH!!! Get with it Nintendo! PLEASE!!!! I am DYING to give you my money but yet you WILL NOT give me reasons to spend it! No virtual Console. No online infrastructure. No My Nintendo Switch rewards!!!

It is a NO-BRAINER to port this amazing game to nintendo’s portable gold-mine... with games like street fighter 30th anniversary, ACA’s simply EXCELLENT ports of the best NEO GEO fighting games, and other fighting games on the way, I’m looking to make my switch my MAIN system for the fighting game genre. What is taking you so long BANDI-NAMCO/Arc System Works???? PORT THIS GAME N-O-W!!!!!

I’m not really excited about any of these titles really... it’s suck TBO. I would like to try out Kirby and Payday 2 to see if I like them, but other than that I’m not overly enthusiastic about anything else. Luckily I have a HUGE backlog of switch games to keep me occupied, so no worries here! 😃😃😃

@shani honestly I could just go without VR on switch altogether. That genre is a niche better used on high-end pc’s. I would love a 1080P or maybe even a 1440P screen on the next switchwhen it comes out. It’ll probably be 1080p, but a guy can dream! I still think we will see the next switch in 2019 btw...

I’m just blown away... I’m 36 years old, and I can’t wait to have these on day one. Honestly, I’m gonna take off of work on 4/20 and have a blast.

It’s probably an announcement about their online infrastructure... (at least I hope it is!) I’ve had $20 in my Nintendo account for weeks just waiting to sign up for their online pass!!!
