That, my friends, is why its skipping Switch.

Pokemon remains the most MEH series of all time. Its been hollow and soulless for a decade. It really needs to be rebuilt from the ground up like Breath if the Wild.

I didn't like this one or 1/2 Genie hero as much as the old ones but this gives me incentive to go back and have another go for sure.
Also...I'm still sad Shantae never got into Smash as an official fighter. 😭

Sad day. I hate gaming on Xbox and PC so I guess I'll be missing this one.

Super Mario Party is my first Mario Party and me and the kids have been having lots of fun with it. Should I sell it though in favor of this one? Seems silly to keep both.

Though I'm not a huge AC fan, this game would have been a huge hit in my house if the local multiplayer didn't COMPLETELY blow. Would have loved to play with my kids if it wasn't laughably restricted. Did they fix any of that stuff?

@anzzjam Well said. Completely agree that policies like this could always be reviewed and modified should the need arise.
But I had no idea that most the people commenting here were owners of giant businesses and experts on the intricacies of company management! Lol.

Makes sense to me. They are a business with a set guideline and paid those people for the time they worked. I see no moral dilemma here.

Its out now and seems it FORCES you to have a battlenet account to even start up the game. Even for offline play. Even after scouring the internet I still can't find anyone thats talking about this. Am I the only one that thinks this is insane? How can they charge $40 for a game and then hold it hostage until you sign up for their shiz? Didn't ID Software do this for the Doom collection then removed the wall a bit later (when they realized they were losing sales)?
Anyway, SOOOO grateful I just downloaded it for free from my cousins account and didn't pay for this trash.

The response to this has been...interesting. I've learned that the vast majority of people don't understand how film making and adapting ideas for the screen works. I've also learned people will find a way to politicize anything.

Even if you personally dont like some of the cast, Chris is awesome, they are all great at thier jobs (which is ACTING...meaning pretending to be something they're not) and this movie will be amazing! Miyamoto wouldn't let it be total trash.

Cannot wait for mine!!! My highly used day 1 model is very tired and I recently ran out of space on my SD. The extra 32GB will actually be super useful. And I'm a huge handheld player that wished from day 1 that the kickstand was better. Never seen an OLED display in person so I'm pumped for Dread to melt my face off on it.

An FF9 remake would be the best thing ever. Also Chrono Cross would be amazing.

Finished enough. It was an awesome game but with absolutely zero story...it was kinda one and done for me.

I've resented pokemon for a long time for not ever innovating and being firmly cemented in the past. They insist on always being 2 or 3 steps behind and yet we still support them.
It will never happen, but I'd kinda love if a game like this truly gave them a run for thier money.

I do find it illuminating though (no pun intended) that they seem to be digging deep into the franchise's roots. Sounds to me like we will have an 'origin story' template of them being actual plumbers, being transported to the Mushroom Kingdom, meeting Peach, Bowser, etc. I like it!

Picking up Dread and the OLED day one. Then me and the kids are building a fort and playing it like me and my bro did in the 90s with Super Metroid.
Me and the kiddos have played through all 4 together. HYYYYPE.

Can't wait to play this. I'm thinking it will be extremely successful just because it's on Switch. It will look very pretty on my new Switch OLED which I'll get just a few weeks before.
