@unrandomsam perhaps they made a mistake! 3 title for the VC on a single week is just too much to what we are used to by now... sighs, that only shows how low expectations I have now
@ToxieDogg From Miyamoto's previous interview with IGN asking about VC cross-buy, he explained that since handheld and console development are two separate teams and each VC title version is worked to work either on handheld or console, it is a problem of duplicate effort. They tweak the emulated game to support the systems features. Some 3rd party and indie developers have had issues launching their games with off-TV play, so i think that it is not so easy as the system doing all the work for the developer.
Any chance of the games being removed from Wii VC? If so, i need to download them as soon as possible. When a game is pulled out, how much notice in advance does Nintendo or the publishers give?
PIKMIN 3!!! I would buy it once again, but already got it physical... I don't know... I just love the game. I would pay to be able to boot it without having to switch discs @_@
@Dipper723 Start with Kirby's Dream Land 3. It is the best and polished Dream Land (the other two are GB classics). Although, SNES Kirby Super Star is the most amazing Kirby game so far! If I had known that, I would have played first KDL3. By the way, Kirby Super Star is a Club Nintendo reward this month, so go for it if you got the coins!
This hole 64x64 theme is making me so anxious of getting N64 Virtual Console already for WiiU... In November, the WiiU will be 2 years old and we got not more news than the official site citing GBA and N64 to release "soon". We already have GBA but even DS games on VC got more attention on January and June this year..
@Squidzilla That's cool, I guess it makes sense for alternating multiplayer modes. Since simultaneous multiplayer would have been a headache to implement for GBA games with online or even locally between WiiUs...
I just realized... Capcom has already re-published all its NES and SNES games that once arrived on Wii VC. That means that only new-old games starting now!
@Reverandjames completely agrees with you. I started to become a Resident Evil fan with my Game Cube. Even if I know RE had other origins than Nintendo systems, I just don't feel comfortable playing them on my PS3 or Xbox 360. Somewhat didn't feel right about RE5 and RE6...
@FlaygletheBagel Since only 24 N64 games made it to Wii VC I think they might want to get more third-parties ready and willing to support it, otherwise it wouldn't even have a decent launch and maintain a consistent dripping (at least) of N64 games.
@Vrael I wouldn't count on a full cloud account system as in Xbox Live or PSN for Nintendo hardware this generation at least. Their recent update adding wiiu-to-wiiu system transfer just makes it more cumbersome to de-attach the Nintendo Network ID from the hardware... From what Iwata presented on January, their target is to unify accounts with NNID until the next generation it seems. I just hope that all my purchases on my WiiU/3DS are transferable to whatever they are releasing...
@AG2014 Mega Man 5 is not yet on WiiU... My guess is: August 7th - Mega Man 5 August 14th - Mega Man 6 August 21st - Mega Man 7 August 28th - Mega Man X3 I guess Battle Network 2 will wait a little more since we are just getting the first today, so perhaps on late September or early October?
@Samurai_Goroh does PSN have Mega Man 8? I would have liked to have all Mega Man classics in a single console but since Sega might take a very long time to support VC I don't know if I can wait @_@. I wonder where does the effort comes from to support Sega old consoles... at Nintendo or Sega's side? I understand there has to be cooperation but who needs to make the first step?
@RIC616 probably this feature will indeed do so. If nintendo was planning to allow cloud based account system, they wouldn't have released this transfer feature to the wiiu
@outburst I hope they bring it to North America this week. Although I got recently a cartridge for $7 USD I would like to have it also on Virtual Console to abuse restore points and miiverse XD
@Dpishere that is exactly what i am doing... though it is certainly sad to watch the Wii Shop and contemplate around 24 titles only for N64 available for purchase. It seems all of them are first party only. It makes me wonder if someday third party publishers will come back to WiiU and re-publish their old games U_U
@Dr_Corndog Its all nintendo's fault and NOT making the Wii a more robust system. Now that they are finally going thru major architecture changes to make descent online services, VC from Wii just cannot work out of the box on WiiU.
@Hordak agree totally. However, DS Virtual Console seems more of a priority for now. It shouldn't be too hard to port their already existing Wii VC catalog to add Miiverse feature, Restore Points and Off-TV play. I bet Sega would definitely help Nintendo with VC for their Genesis (perhaps Dreamcast? ). I think that they should dedicate a few more resources on moving all those platforms emulation to WiiU this year ends or starting 2015 when there is generally a game drought.
@theberrage It might be, since some games on the Wii Virtual Console (mostly N64 games) required that you had the Classic or Classic Pro controller as accessory to play it.
@Suicune because of the latency wireless communication represents. People used to competitive gaming would never consider using any kind of wireless control if a wired option does exists.

August 21st - Mega Man 7
August 28th - Mega Man X3
I guess Battle Network 2 will wait a little more since we are just getting the first today, so perhaps on late September or early October?
