Im guessing the C button is for chatting with other people playing the same game. Communication among players via the console itself was very much lacking on Switch, so I think this will be pushed this new console generation.
I think Nintendo Life has yet to report on the fact that some of those who purchased the Gold Edition of Sparks of Hope (the edition that came with the season pass) in the US are experiencing issues trying to access the DLC. The official Ubisoft account has acknowledged the issue and they are supposedly actively working on a fix, as we are purchased the DLC way in advance and we are clearly the last ones enjoying the DLC...
@StarPoint Nintendo did clarify you can still play all your downloaded games. Some of those reactions are just out of place. Also, after the time has past, you can even redownload stuff you had already purchased. The main thing is Nintendo is not going to sell games anymore. They sent out a thorough message about this...
@BloodNinja Maybe it is you who has a different point of view. Most guys/reviewers I've seen talking about the game look ABSOLUTELY passionate about it. I don't think their excitement is faked at all...
@BlackenedHalo good game design should not expect the player to seek outside assistance... That means there is disconnect between what is presented to you and what is expected of you.
I guess I could understand this IF games which include actual gambling disguised as "surprise mechanics," or whatever, would also fall in that category. Even though Pokemon Blue and Red taught you how to gamble, it was not using real money, so ultimately you had the cha ce to learn whether you were addicted to it or not without risking anything whereas games like FIFA are applying gambling with real money through loot boxes and they are not being punished for it... Useless rating, in my opinion.
@noobish_hat i actually got all hyped up and kept my eyes open to get a copy and then all of a sudden I realized it is for PC... I agree... I feel like I wasted my time because of a misleading article... why did an article in NINTENDOLife promote a PC release?
@RudyC3 why not importing it from Asia? They are getting a physical edition. This game is WORTH IT! I loved the Wii U original. I even bought the European physical edition. It is that good.
@Crono1973 that is not what he meant... Back in those days AAA games did not require such an investment to come out looking and playing perfectly. 2D or 3D plane is just a gameplay choice. Even worse, in this case the game DOES HAVE 3D graphics, so the argument that it is 2D doesn't really apply as the developers are still using 3D graphics in it, even if the perspective it is played in is not 3D.
2% is still too high. Switch might be underpowered in comparison to the other consoles, but there are great experiences in it. There are no excuses for lazy rehashes, EA.
@UmbreonsPapa I agree. The Switch Lite was the chance to make this better, and they passed it up. Even recent joycon color variations... This has just no justification to it.
@Dezzy here in the US you can send the joycon to them, they'll repair it for you and they'll send it back to you; all.of this at no cost. At least here they preferred avoiding future lawsuits. I wish it were like this all over the world. Some countries don't even have Nintendo offices.
@BulbasaurusRex I doubt you should be bashing the level so harshly if you haven't even played it yourself. Of course it is not perfect, but it is not as bad as most people make it sound. The only thing I can agree on is that that particular section of the game is not up to regular Mario standards of fluid movement, but it is not broken either.
@BulbasaurusRex in my experience, I'd say sunshine has less than 5% the amount of bugs Sonic 06 has, so I do not see why you are comparing the two, not to mention sunshine has zero game breaking bugs, and nothing, NOTHING remotely close to bugs as distracting as Sonic 06's.
@Crono1973 no, but general consensus about Nintendo games is that they are made for kids. The fact is they are not just meant for kids. I agree with it having some bugs, but I also remember having completed it 100% multiple times and never being frustrated about anything beyond having to try some challenges multiple times because I wasn't good enough in previous attempts.
Oh, definitely... Cause the internet is ALWAYS right lol. Sunshine may not be the best Mario game, but it's a fine good game. Gamers wanted a challenge, it was given to them. And then they complain about it...
@AaronTReece I agree. I actually played every of these 3D games when they first came out. I actually gave 10 to all of them except to Mario 64 for the 3DS, and that one I played on my 3DS so I still got to enjoy thoroughly.
Galaxy is a great game, but certainly not the best one. Most likely the new generations voted for it as the best because it's the one they have played.
Also, 3D Land and 3D World should have better scores! They are great!
@bluemage1989 this. I do not see the issue at all. It's an anniversary collection meant exclusively to be sold to celebrate said anniversary. Nintendo never said it was a limited print deal. It should be readily available for six months, which is a fairly long time. All this complaining about this, TO ME, can be compared to complaining of why we only celebrate people's birthdays once a year.
I'm glad Nintendo went more hands-on on the Hyrule Warriors formula. This looks like a true collaboration instead of just a commissioned game with Nintendo assets in it. Love it!
I mean... I just went into Amazon and pre-ordered it... I do not understand why people are buying it from resellers... They are not even trying the retailers...
I mean, too bad for the Switch (it's losing one hell of an exclusive), but good for the game itself as it deserves to be played as much as possible. An absolute classic.
I was not lucky enough to have played Xenogears and Xenosaga. I heard at some point the publisher thought of bringing all of them to the Switch, but ended up thinking it was not profitable. I wish that weren't the case, as I have only read about those games.
@rjejr I know you're absolutely right because I myself played the original one when it first came out. However, I know the Switch has no way to know whether you played XC in the Wii or not, so I knew it would only check within its own internal storage. And well. I have never been a fan of GameStop, so I agree 100% with you on that particular front.
I mean, to justify buying a whole new console, once again, like every 4 or 5 years (or even less if you were into the upgraded versions of the same console), I expect something groundbreaking. Great ideas and great game design do not rely on power, and all big classics prove it.
It's just art and anatomy... Children should also know the parts of the human body in a non-sexual way. Our genitalia does not have to be sexualized all the time... Good for Animal Crossing sticking with art the right way; the uncensored way.
@Zeropulse I don't get it either... I loved Bravely Second as well... Besides, if you felt that way, then you should have apologized then, not 5 years later... He changed his mind now cause they came up with possibly a better idea now.
@JayJ Well, when you consider the fact that it is a Japanese product that pretty much revitalized the video game industry, you might understand why they are upset about it. Video games is a very important business sector in Japan.
@Grumblevolcano Honestly I thought exactly the same thing as you. I don't like any sports (nor competitions, for that matter), so I have no clue what this was all about. Sports already get plenty of attention, so hopefully this will not be the new trend in this website.
No love for Dragon Quest XI? At least it's supposed to come out in Japan this year, and we know it has been localized for the US already, so that should not be an excuse for a delay.
