thanks for the links! my tube tv died a few days ago ....so might get that HDMI connector (expected it to cost a lot more) so I can continue with GC goodness!

still got mine, perfect working order ... challenge is to find an old TV to use it with ....

I'd like to see a Selects range of cheaper 1st party games :

not so much for the early releases like Odyssey , Splatoon 2, Fire Emblem Warriors, Kirby Star Allies - but a bit later, Yoshi, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Party/Tennis etc ...

this issue kinda killed the switch for me ... I got two original grey joy-cons, and due to drift bought a red/blue pair ... Now, I bought a pro-controller, which is fine, but means I play it only in TV mode ... and if I am in TV mode, I use my PS4 mainly (also because, I'm not paying $60 for a game anymore.... when they launch their 'Selects' range, I might go back to some I missed like Luigi's Mansion 3)

If it worked in handheld mode, I would use it more - but I get too frustrated with drift issues

voted 80% docked. Would be 80% handheld (and I would use it more) if all my joycons didn't drift ...I have 4 , I'm not investing in more .. got a pro controller, and will have to use it on the TV now ..

loved the demo, really want the game (as do my kids) but the prices is a little steep, and tempted to leave it till sale price, and focus on the backlog... depends how much my kids push me ...

is there a way to download the show just after it ends ? want to watch it during a train journey and wifi is usually no good then...

can't help feeling there is a simple solution here : Launch prices of $20 for FIFA 20 on Switch or $10 if you own a previous version of FIFA on Switch ( maybe digital only if that's needed to validate ownership) .
Keeps the good will. Same level of effort , and surely they make money this way.

Great games , but I don't see a reason yet to double dip, and owned them on PS4/Vita for a while (beaten them both) so ... will really wait and hope for a humblebundle or 90% sale ...

I will double-dip on this at some point (have it on Wii U - but not the DLC, obviously not these remix tracks either) but waiting for a sale, have enough to play at the moment - not so keen that I would pay full price again

great, fair prices, looking forward to it ... but there is a real challenge to Nintendo here - its currently on PSN UK sale for 9 GBP (with the DLC) - almost double the price for Switch version.
Not sure what they can do ... I don't expect the Sony sale price as its launched. But I don't feel like spending such a lot more, when I can get it and play it on PS4. Ultimately, I'll wait for a Switch sale in six months I guess ...

I love the Switch idea, but I do think they should have offered a version without the dock, for $50 less ... because that's what some consumers want... listen to the consumers, offer them choice ... instead seems they worry more about how its perceived (not wanting to been seen to exit the home console market?)
more choice .. maybe more sales, with people picking up a dock later ...

well, I am in Europe, but with a USA Wii U ... and I will get getting this, especially thanks to the generous discount (25% for two weeks launch discount, --> actually 33% for me as I have Dig on my Wii U)
although, I am a bit tempted by cross-buy on PS4/Vita ...

just to balance the negativity a little ...

I've had Mario 64, Metriod for GBA, Mario Kart SNES, Legend of Zelda Picross, WarioWare ... some themes, maybe more I can't remember ...

beyond good and evil, lego star wars, fifa 07, ... this was the first nintendo console where i enjoyed the 3rd party games more than the first party (think I was tired of zelda for example, and disappointed that wave race , 1080 etc didn't seem new and fresh like on N64

I feel quite sorry for RCMADIAX sometimes... he must have a thick skin ... comments on his games on this site are quite harsh ... personally I think its enough to just 'vote with your wallets' - not impressed by his games, don't buy them ...
I've enjoyed one or two , but this, I just won't buy , but I won't criticize him for releasing them and appreciate he engages on here despite so much negative comments he must read

Splatoon can be played offline in two player, one with gamepad, one with pro controller (and i think with wii remote and nunchuk, but I've only used the pro controller)

its ok, but 1 v 1 isn't really the best way to play... if I remember correctly the gamepad player uses the gamepad screen, while the tv is solely dedicated to the second player

review is too late!! I think this was half price at launch for a couple of weeks, but its back up to full price now (admittedly, thats still very very cheap...)

very exciting, lots of great looking games. Ok, maybe many are x-platform, but Wii U owners will at least have plenty to play with these and further VC releases, as the Wii U retail games dry up when NX is formally announced

thanks for answering. I am not looking to pick a fight with anyone in particular. I don't think you can say Kirby 64 is only $2 - thats only for people that got it in Wii VC - the 'RRP' (maybe not the right term but ..) is $10 ...

I don't think you can only judge the value of things after you purchased them ... its also a question of 'does the price seem fair to make me buy it in the first place' - and for Wii games, $20 seems reasonable to me. I'm not sure why you think looking at the price of a Wii game in a relative way is flawed ... I think its flawed to expect it for $10 when it was clear that was launch price for first 3 digital wii games only.
I agree about launch weeks in general, but more for new games ...not sure first two weeks are important time for VC games...

If its too high for some, they can wait, it will surely be on sale at some point, but just because its a few years old, doesn't mean it should be a quarter of its original price - its still the same great game (different maybe for online games where the community has migrated)

anyway... people can choose, I just think its a bit sad that it seems some people took the previous offer to set expectations that Wii games are worth only $10
