@BlueOcean it isn't basic at all- you have to learn the patterns of the baddies and build a strategy much like you do in donkey Kong. If you spend some time with it you'll find it's a seriously rewarding high score chaser. So what if it's old- it's 6 quid! That's the price of a pint and a half of crap lager in London.

This is a gem of a game. My 9 year old son and I have been playing it all afternoon. We have now worked out a strategy for the earlier levels and are desperately trying to work our way past the 7th level. For me it's as enjoyable as donkey Kong which is one of my favourite games of all time. For 6 quid I'd have this over a dozen call of craps or Fifa ripoff yearly release any day. It's an excellent game easily worthy of the score, if not more.

I'm with you - I want these on my switch and can't believe that Nintendo can't do something about it. We all bought these and the VC should simply have appeared on Wii u exactly the same as Wii and you could re download any games you previously purchased.
I've been angry about this for years.

I wouldn't get Fifa if someone gave it to me. My son gets it year on year- the resell value for the previous year is like 50p and that's after he's spent over 100 quid on packs during the year. Packs that you can't carry over. It's vile what EA does but as others have said, people keep buying them. I'm a little down at the moment so think I'll get golf story to cheer myself up.

@GameOtaku I hate online play. Icy rather have a night with mates and beers in the same room like I've always done. Online play is for 13 year olds- believe me I'm a teacher and it's all they do.

I've got one and I can honestly say that I love it. I couldn't give a crap about games like call of crap or Fifa or GTA; I'm in it for Nintendo games and indies.

I bought this at the weekend for my 8 year old. He loves it. I tried it out last night. Four hours later I decided I loved it too. If you like Lego itself you will absolutely love this game. I'm with Tate24 on this.

I found a nes mini in Sainsbury's for £79 last Christmas. I put it back on the shelf after telling the manager of the store how disgusting it was. Scalpers on eBay is one thing- huge stores upping their price is even worse.

@ICISAZEL I agree with everything you said- especially some of the crazy prices on the eshop. Why would I buy a game on the switch if I can get it at almost half the price on my vita. It's crazy.

@Alikan that is awesome- lets compare 30 year obsessions I have every Nintendo console apart from the virtual boy which I sold; a dream cast and mega drive; a neo geo cd; Atari jaguar and lynx; two gameboy advances for playing four swords and pacman vs on the cube which also has the gameboy player on it; a gameboy original and micro; an original ds and 3ds; a psp and a vita and a ps2; the kids have an 360 each and the eldest has a ps 4. I also have 3 game and watch systems. Nice to meet another obsessive 👊 Wish my house was paid off mind.

@thedevilsjester really- what type of games do you want? I've bought 30 since launch and only regret buying two or three. There are others I want but the price puts me off- overcooked for example. Are you focusing only on carts- have you seen the games on the estore? Tumbleseed, graceful explosion machine and blaster master zero are absolutely incredible. Then you have shantae, shovel knight, thumper, sonic, wonderboy, retro city rampage etc. On top of that you have classic Neo geo games at 6 quid a pop. As I've said some of the eshop prices are questionable but there is no shortage of quality games to play. In the last two weeks Mario rabbids and Lego worlds have also been released. 🤔🤔
