Re: Talking Point: The Case for Super Mario Odyssey as the Greatest Mario Game

@Gamer401 games like golf story are most certainly not C grade games. Like I say if you don’t like the majority of what’s on offer that’s fine. I’ve bought far more for the switch this year (round about 30:2 ratio) than the PS4 and would imagine next year will be the same. The switch is in no shape or form having a game drought. Just check out the reviews for the weekly eshop games on this site and see the response from most readers. Most of us are thankful for a week where we don’t want to buy a game. I haven’t even started stardew valley yet and I’ve had it for weeks. (Damn I missed Halloween) I’m about 13 hours in to golf story, have put 30 plus hours into tumbleseed, a few levels into Mario rabbids, stuck on shantae and wonder boy. Then there are the wonderful high score chasers like thumper and the bullet hell of butcher. I should possibly stop buying. Games you don’t fancy- totally no problem with that. Drought- not at all.

Okay I'm weighing in. Odyssey is a very good game but it in no way sparks the wonder that was had when playing super 3, world or 64 did for the first time. Now before you go down the nostalgia route, breath of the wild did exactly that but with Zelda.it took me a few days to get into it but that game is hands down my favourite game ever-it is magical. Odyssey doesn't hold a candle to it. New donk city which looked like the be all and end all of NEW Mario is totally underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the game but no more that 3D world.

Re: Limited Run Games Will Publish Physical Copies of Indie Titles On Switch Next Year

@OorWullie because the resell value is incredible- I bought the night trap PS4 for 30 quid and sold it for nigh on 90. I wasn't going to and held onto it for a while but I desperately wanted rebooteroids on the Atari jaguar which was 70 bucks and you can only get it stateside. I buy LRG titles for the long term investment. Night trap is the only one I've ever sold. The rest I'll hold onto for future years.

As great as the games on the switch are, the eshop prices are still on the whole a joke compared to other platforms. The lack of cross buy or multi machine installation also still angers me a great deal. We have been a multi ds family for years- never bought the same cartridge more than once- they are shared between the systems. Eshop games should be the same.

Re: Here Are the Key Lessons that Nintendo Learned from the Wii U

@SLIGEACH_EIRE but you don't seem to like Nintendo's flagship console despite not owning one. There are plenty of things that anger me about them but this console isn't one of them. You are missing out on some seriously great games that have been released this year man. I can't get my head around what you want.
What triple A titles do you want that you keep referring to? Nintendo consoles don't cater for the likes of call of crap or other fodder like that hence why I suggested a PS4. What is it you want🤔
Your argument about Wii u ports is pointless- porting them is going to bring them to a wider audience. It also means there will be a continuous supply of games. Yes, I like you own many of the, already but millions won't. So with those- titles like fire emblem warriors, Mario odyssey and all the incredible indie games what are we missing here? I for one can't wait to have la noire on a console that I can play anywhere and I never thought it would happen. Please help,me out here- what do you want to see happen. And I'm sorry but you are simply wrong about the joycons- they work fine whatever way you use them. Plus 8bit do have a whole host of secondary controllers which work- I've bought two for four player games. I didn't mean to sound hostile but your constant repetion and negativity is baffling for someone who says they only buy Nintendo. Cheers.
