Maybe for private schools. The teachers I know in public schools all pay $500 to $1000 out of their pocket for classroom necessities because the school won't find them. And the same for IT here. Most new school IT hardware requests end up in increased tax votes because their budgets only have enough $ to keep things running and replace the occasional computer that breaks. Wish things were different, but they aren't here.
I guess maybe I live in a different world than others. Even if the Switch were free I see the cost of the packs/cardboard being cost prohibitive. Schools have better tools for teaching coding. It's not just Billy though. The Todd Roger's thing was terrible. Many others from that era have been under question. And while Billy may have become involved in giving to Twin Galaxies, he didn't make the company. I mean Twin Galaxies was formed when he was 16. They made him, not the other way around. Twin Galaxies still uses Walter Day in their imaging, which he would have heavily been involved in this cover up stuff and keeping Billy #1. In your opinion the punishment fits the crime. But to me it looks like overcompensation to cover Twin Galaxies faults. To me there is absolutely no valid reason to strike his live scores or ban him from future competition. People just like to judge Billy because it's 2018 and he has a mullet.
The problem with the Twin Galaxies report is all that information is inconclusive. Like they say 1 level he had a run where the barrel points were in the 92nd percentile. So if I have a 100 sided dice and you roll a 93, that is greater than the expected rolls 92 times out of 100. So does you rolling a 93 on a 100 sided dice prove you cheated? Absolutely not and it doesn't show how he cheated either. The only thing that shows cheating is the Donkey Kong level screen inbetween each level. That's what their report should show and only that. The rest is simply an attempt to drag Billy down. The problem with the punishment in my opinion is that Twin Galaxies approved all of these scores and many others with very poor evidence that they were true. So in my opinion if you void all these scores whether valid or not, you might as well wipe out the last 30 years of Twin Galaxy records because they quite honestly didn't perform enough validation during that time. It's great they are trying to "clean up their act" with new management but to pretend like only the records in their database that are challenged are false is ingenuine.
I also think the Villain thing is overplayed. Billy Mitchell has been shown on tape bringing games to the elderly. He gives to charity. Many people have met him and said he's been really nice to him. He may have cheated and done the wrong thing, but I think it's too black and white to call him a Villain.
I also think, where are we today if Twin Galaxies just doesn't accept the tapes? Then much ado about nothing right? I mean the narrative I'm gathering is Twin Galaxies didn't really have any validation process for their old rules and there may have been an internal conspiracy to keep Billy Mitchell in the top spot. Now we are going to hold Billy MItchell completely accountable for the actions of this supposed verification company? That's just bogus. Twin Galaxies sucks at least at much as Billy Mitchell here and in my opinion worse. Since I'm sure they void invalid videos all the time and those people don't get banned and all future scores banned. But no, they accepted Billy's so now he's the bad guy.
I mean, I'd admit it's likely that he cheated for the world record. But I do think this screams of a bit of a witch hunt. Twin Galaxies no longer has his tapes that he submitted. They are using a YouTube video that claims to be of his original runs. Their argument is they must be legit because the runs are of the exact pointage total that is in our database for his records and to fake that would take a lot of time. However, how is it known that the tapes weren't tampered with and a mame scene added inbetween the levels since they are using about 0.5% of the tape to claim it cheated? Unlikely, but to me losing control of the tape leaves enough reasonable doubt that I might remove the records in question because we no longer can authenticate them, and not claim that Billy was the biggest cheat in the world.
I also see no reason to remove his confirmed live scores. What is the concern there? And I also think the removal reads of an extreme bias. I had a Math degree and they go into a lot of reasoning that it's likely that he cheated because his run was statistically improbable. But statistically improbable isn't impossible and doesn't prove anything. They should stick to the facts. If it's Mame it's cheating period. They don't need to frame up this grand case that at the end is just circumstanstial evidence that he is either cheating or lucky. My guess is if you played the game over a thousand times you might come up with a few lucky runs too.
He's performed a live record before. On 5/7/04 he performed a live record (at the time) of 933,900 at the Midwest Gaming Classic Convention where lots of people viewed and saw the validity. And I get this isn't the Olympics, but the guy is 52 and hasn't touched the game in 10 years. You expect him to come out with a world record in a week?
I agree. It's a witchhunt to try and make TG look important again. If Billy cheated and all those records were validated then it gives me 0 confidence that anything in their database were correct. Also not sure why they'd ban his confirmed live performances. But I guess they make their own rules now and aren't really concerned with truth after all.
I have one of the V3s and it works perfectly. I don't know the history, but it seems you are holding him to a pretty high standard to never trust his work again without seeing if it's actually faulty. I mean it was pretty dumb on Nintendo's part to make the original Wii not run a fan in stand by mode leading to my graphics card to burn up and many others to do the same. But I wouldn't argue you should never trust Nintendo hardware because their engineers should have been able to determine a device running needs a fan. But your warning is noted and there should have been a note in the original article noting that earlier versions had issues.
Shared component/composite ports are available on many modern TVs but not all. It's simply not universal that every component input accepts composite.
@YANDMAN Wii to HD adds some lag because it's taking an analog signal and converting to digital. This device takes the digital signal before it's converted to analog so there is no lag. There are a few converters like the OSSC or earlier Frameisters that add none but the cheaper converters all add some.
It seems you could use media launcher and swiss to force progressive scan through a PAL gamecube then use this HDMI output to display. Certainly not ideal though.
@GravyThief
I have component cables and this hdmi dongle. In theory they both output the same 480p quality. But as the article mentioned, my hdtvs do a much better job taking a 480p digital image and scaling to 1080p than taking a 480p analog image and scaling to 480p. I think this looks fantastic and is worth the upgrade. You could sell the component cables for $200, pick up this for $100 and likely have a better picture and $100.
@foobarbaz
A Wii with component is a fine option. But there are reasons to use a Gamecube. The Gamecube picture is sharper than the Wii. I also hate fiddling with Wii controllers, finding one that has batteries, and going through the Wii O/S just to play a Gamecube game. Oh, and there's also the GBA Player that the Wii doesn't have. For my setup I'd rather have a Wii U and Gamecube attached digitally since the Wii U can do everything the Wii can do. Especially as TVs are going away from component inputs.
@TheWhiteFalcon
The bricked consoles were moved while operating. No good can come from a moving a disc based system while operating. But yes, old versions did. This is the first that is 3D printed to stop shorts from happening when it gets moved. Sorry the guy isn't Microsoft and doesn't have a $500 million dollar R&D budget. He made a cool product that had a flaw because he used to build the case by hand. The flaw was identified and he corrected it. Shouldn't be an issue with these. Plus it's a freaking $30 Gamecube. We aren't talking about a $300 bricked Switch here.
I went and played a mame version because I remembered not liking it though I have a general love of the 3 console punchouts. And I can't recommend. It. The movements are just so stiff. It ends up feeling really unpolished.
I never understood Nintendo holding games off the eshop. As a multi system owner, I don't peruse any of the eshops. I follow various gaming sites and if something looks interesting then I buy it. If it's on the Switch, great. If not, great too I'll play it elsewhere. So the amount of crap on an eshop has never been my concern. Just the same if I buy a stinker I don't blame Nintendo or Sony or whoever.
I feel okay with the digital. The art book seems cool, but would just sit on a shelf. Now if they'd release an actual Genesis cart with game I'd have to be all over that.
Won't be the last one. But I do think they risk getting pulled from the market with how closely they followed Nintendo's marketing. But what do they care. They are probably a shell company that will just close up shop and take any money they've made to that point if Nintendo does go legal on them.
I guess I disagree with that take. Conventional wisdom has been the Nintendo gamer buys different items and is a different market. But the Switch is different than the Wii. The Wii definitely opened a new market to gaming, but the Switch hasn't yet at least. The Switch success has been traditional with Mario/Zelda/Kart driving it's success. And as a gamer that has historically not considered the Nintendo version because there was usually a huge graphical difference and the controls were somewhat questionable, that's not really the case anymore. The Switch is a minor step down to the basic Xbox/PS4 that are out there now and it gives the benefit of portability. So now the question is small upgrade graphically or portability? But price will play a part in there too. Competing with the market leader means competing on price on the cross console video games.
The market is closed to some extent (Nintendo published games/handheld games). But it's open in many others. Steam/PSN/Xbox Live are all competitors for many of these games and they have significantly more marketshare than Nintendo because of the value and digital rights they give. My preferred platform is actually Steam because I don't just accept paying more and having it tied to one system like Nintendo has. You can also buy codes from stores like Amazon and Humble Bundle. Though those codes seem to go on sale less than physical.
"At the end of the day your physical purchases should always be cheaper than digital."
Why would a product that is cheaper to deliver to the consumers always be more expensive?
"On top of that as a game ages it's physical copy tends to drop in price."
Duck Tales Remastered is $3.74 on Wii U right now. I guess Capcom missed the memo that digital content does not go on sale as it ages.
"If I apply 300 coins($3) twice it's no different from applying 600 coins($6) once.
As long as you buy 1 game, yes ONE game a year your coins shouldn't expire."
If you buy only physical games those coins could expire since you'd need to apply to a digital game to prevent them from expiring. You'd also need to buy 2 digital games in a year as you first need to earn the gold coins before you can apply them on the next purchase.
I briefly had an S. The build quality seemed pretty poor. My screen came pitted and the second controller port didn't work at all. So if you buy this, I'd say immediately test out all the items to ensure that they work. Seems hit or miss if you get a perfectly functioning one.
The screen was really disappointing too. It has like a 10 degree sweet spot where it looks decent. I found that sitting in an office chair and looking slightly down it looked alright. Relaxing in a couch looked pretty bad because of the angle. If you get off angle the colors will wash out badly and black levels disappear.
Other than that the controls felt better than the RDP V2 to me, so I can see how people would think if they had a well functioning one they would think it was better. Maybe just luck, but the RDP V2 didn't show any quality issues to me. I did find myself more bothered by the 16:9 than I thought I'd be, but this system remedies that.
As I'm not a software developer, I'm not going to comment on the length of time to develop a minor feature for the console. But it does kill me that Nintendo continues to act like a small company. They are on pace to make $1.6 billion US dollars this year. Whatever the coding needs, pay some people for a browser, Netflix, cloud saves, and VC. It's getting ridiculous that the Switch doesn't have these things.
I've never heard the term citizen of Michigan or another US state. One of the differences in the US most of the states have never been independent. They were colonies that formed the US when they gained their independence. The few that had indepedence havent had that in more than 150 years so any state nationalism has died. Americans view themselves as US citizens who reside in a state much like they reside in a city. So from that standpoint the US states are different in that they've never been viewed as seperate countries.
"In spite of this, Krikzz has managed to make the ED64 virtually region free. Supposedly there are a handful of titles that don’t run correctly without additional patching but they are few and far between. Note that if you load a PAL title on an NTSC machine, it will still run at 50hz (and vice versa we would assume). This has been reported to cause issues on some setups, probably due to the timing crystals in each machine being ever so slightly different. We tried a handful of PAL titles on our NTSC machine and they all ran flawlessly."
If you have a framemeister, you've already got most of the cost paid for. Usually RGB mods go for like $35 for the N64 (assuming you have an early one) and they use the snes/gamecube rgb cable which you may already have too.
The benefit of the HDMI is that you can deblur the image and do other scaling options with the hardware. The N64 has a blur filter on it that won't be disabled on an rgb enabled N64. It'll cost you a frame lag to use the hdmi scaler, but a frameister has a frame of lag too. You'd have to go to an OSSC setup to be lagfree. I went rgb due to price. To be honest, I don't love the picture because of the blur. But I'll play with scanlines on to make it appear sharper and it looks so much better than using composite or svideo so I'm still relatively pleased with it. Since it's so cheap, you might want to start with that and see if you are pleased with the picture.
Not really sure this has anything to do with rumble. Likely to be the smaller size of the joystick putting more pressure on the tumor as the way he clamped his hand around it.
It's just this website publishes like at least 3 articles a day. So there have been like 400 articles since my comment. 10,000+ replies. If you have to find an old quote to try to start a conversation it's already DOA. And I've already moved on at this point and don't really care about the original conversation at this point. So your conversation is likely to be with yourself.
I don't really care if boxes are PC or not. I just think it's the lazy way to argue. I know group A does X. I don't know enough about group B so I must try to make trivial comparisons to group A so I can attempt to say group B does X. So then the argument moves from does group B do X to is group B like group A. Which most of the time I think is a dumb comparison because they are obviously different or group B would be in group A.
To me it sounds like you are trying to take this argument into a labeling debate like the hardcore vs. casual debate that used to sweep through these forums. And I didn't really care to participate that because I didn't really see the point either. I mean I took what somebody else used to define as a retro gamer and tried to counteract their point. If you feel the need to define retro gamer differently than what you think I defined it as fine, I don't really think that changes what I was saying. That's why I don't really see the point of explicitly defining the group we were talking about because it was always a generalization from the start.
Wow a reply to a comment I made 5 months ago. Thanks for catching up. Not really sure what your point is though. My comment was really just a reply to a poster above that seemed to be implying that people that enjoy retro games only enjoy retro games and further they enjoy retro games because of what was happening in the world at that time. Which I thought was an extreme point of view by trying to putting people in a box so that poster could make generalizations. So I think if you understood my comment, you'd understand I wasn't trying to make a point about any of the things you are saying. Many different people enjoy retro games, if they are classified as retro gamers or what's the definition of a retro gamer is really of no concern to me. And to your other question, yes super everdrive works on this.
@BulbasaurusRex
"Because FPGA is all done entirely on a hardware level, you get unparalleled accuracy, total compatibility and zero-lag input."
It's discussing the FPGA having zero-lag input which is true. I think common sense dictates that if you are using a laggy tv you'll still have lag so I don't think they need to specifically state that.
Samsung is the biggest TV manufacturer and nearly their entire lineup has sub 20 ms lag. Other manufacturers have lower lag. HDTV manufacturers have caught up with lag being bad so it's a point of emphasis now. You must not do much PC gaming because you'd know about gaming monitors. It's simply a pain to keep a CRT setup and my preference is the visuals on an hdtv. CRT will simply never be a solution for peoples main TVs or for people with limited space. If you think it's superior and worth still keeping space to keep one setup great.
The negatives are worth it to you. The super nt is worth it to me. You are wrong though, the Super NT adds no lag. If your setup has lag then it can't remove the lag in the setup. If your opinion is CRTs are better that's fine, but they have their faults.
There are negatives to CRTs. Namely the size, weight, ability to get one that is in good condition and doesn't have consistency issues. Most people that are into retro gaming have snes controllers and honestly if your goal is to play on a crt you should be looking at an original snes, not this. Scalers to play on HDTVs (XRGB mini, OSSC) cost more than this and that's the solution this is replacing. So this is a great price for what it gives you.
I honestly don't believe a human can tell less than a frame lag and you can get this with this device. I've beaten Mike Tyson's punchout on a 23 ms projector with the AVS and I can't imagine a game that requires faster reflexes/timing than that. Street fighter tournaments that have games requiring 1 frame counters have long played on gaming monitors that have 10 ms lag. Sometimes I feel like when people complain about such small lag they are just complaining to complain. So please, enjoy your CRT and original SNES. I enjoy those too. But now I also enjoy this on my newer tvs also.
I guess we'll see. Wii sold like crazy for 5 years then the last 2 years it really struggled before Wii U was released. That's almost a problem of having a console that's so successful upfront. I'd almost rather race to 100 million sold in 5 years and look at a replacement that could continue to sell 20 million units a year instead of try to wring more sales out of a console that already has a high attach rate.
It'll also be interesting because PS5 Xbox2 will likely be out in 2020 so the market could change a lot by then. Particularly if Sony does anything in the handheld/hybrid space. They indicated they couldn't ignore the Switch success and they've had a successful handheld before (PSP).
The Super NT itself does not add any lag like most other solutions XRGB mini or SNES Classic. Paired with a gaming monitor (9 ms lag) or a low lag tv (19 ms) this results in a near CRT experience and is very pleasant to play. They have announced they are releasing a digital to analog converter for the Super NT. It will be lag free and allow the Super NT to work on a CRT through composite, s-video, or rgb. It is expected to release later this year and cost about $80. Through use of this converter, you'll be able to use super scope on a crt.
Anybody else think it's funny that Nintendo paid DeNa all this money to help them make a rewards program. Then the rewards program is basically let's take DDP (a program you used to have in place) and cut the rewards in half because they were way too generous?
I referenced a single post because I bowed out of your crazy last time quicker. If you didn't understand what I meant last time you should have done your research then instead of brushing aside my comments. Then you could have used it to claim victory last time lol. If your argument is the price is reasonable you should at least have an idea of the manufacturing costs to make it happen instead of just stating they can obviously do it. I also think victory for you is when a $70 perfect SNES releases (whether that be FGPA or not) which it hasn't and it won't.
If Nintendo could have released something better than the Nes Classic for cheaper then they would have. The fact that they haven't means they either can't or don't care to. I mean technically they could give away 10 million Switch's tomorrow because they can afford to, but they won't. They aren't a charity. They bring products to the market to make a profit.
You just don't have a business mind which is your problem. I mentioned FGPA in the other discussion with you before.
"It would be very costly to reproduce them. Even more costly to pay the r&d to shrink them. It's very good for what it is. Which is an $80 emulator box. FGPA solutions which emulate hardware like the AVS and analogue nt mini will be available soon and will provide excellent hardware emulation. But they'll cost more than $80."
That was my rebuttal to you which seems very accurate today. Then you responded with this.
"Let's face it, there's pretty much zero doubt Nintendo could remake and re-release the exact original SNES for less than $70/£70 nowadays, so I see no truly good reason it couldn't just basically do that but in a smaller shell "
So no, I don't see how you are right today. I mentioned FGPA and now you are trying to piggyback that it is a perfect solution to your idea which is fine. But the $70 is completely unrealistic today as it was 6 months ago. Same conversation, different day.
I agree. I think well done upscaled games look better on modern displays. Crts give a more "authentic" experience, but I've never been a fan of scanlines.
Twin galaxies should have his tape or they shouldn't have given him high score. They should just release his tapes (any of them) in full at this point. That would prove or disprove it was mame. If they don't have them how does some random guy on the internet have footage?
Did Billy cheat? I don't know. But Twin Galaxies comes out of this smelling like a big turd. Especially because in there response they go out of their way to try and drag Billy through the mud. If they can prove it's Mame then release the tapes and that is reason to drop his high score. Saying stuff like we have no proof that Billy used the cheat function in Mame but it's likely he did or that Todd Rogers was 1 time one of his witnesses so obviously the score should be in doubt are just ridiculous and show a vendetta against Billy.

Re: Billy Mitchell Breaks His Silence To Address Accusations Of Cheating
@Ooyah @HappyMaskedGuy
Re: Steve Wiebe Recognised As First Million Point Donkey Kong Record Holder As Billy Mitchell's Scores Are Nuked
@FinalFrog
I agree. It's a witchhunt to try and make TG look important again. If Billy cheated and all those records were validated then it gives me 0 confidence that anything in their database were correct. Also not sure why they'd ban his confirmed live performances. But I guess they make their own rules now and aren't really concerned with truth after all.
Re: Hardware Review: GameCube HDMI Adapter - GC Video Plug 'n Play 3.0
@TheWhiteFalcon
Re: Hardware Review: GameCube HDMI Adapter - GC Video Plug 'n Play 3.0
@Capt_N
Shared component/composite ports are available on many modern TVs but not all. It's simply not universal that every component input accepts composite.
@YANDMAN
Wii to HD adds some lag because it's taking an analog signal and converting to digital. This device takes the digital signal before it's converted to analog so there is no lag. There are a few converters like the OSSC or earlier Frameisters that add none but the cheaper converters all add some.
Re: Hardware Review: GameCube HDMI Adapter - GC Video Plug 'n Play 3.0
@Kafei2006
It seems you could use media launcher and swiss to force progressive scan through a PAL gamecube then use this HDMI output to display. Certainly not ideal though.
Re: Hardware Review: GameCube HDMI Adapter - GC Video Plug 'n Play 3.0
@GravyThief
@foobarbaz
@TheWhiteFalcon
Re: Punch-Out!! Is Your Next Nintendo Arcade Archive, Releases Next Week
I went and played a mame version because I remembered not liking it though I have a general love of the 3 console punchouts. And I can't recommend. It. The movements are just so stiff. It ends up feeling really unpolished.
Re: Punch-Out!! Is Your Next Nintendo Arcade Archive, Releases Next Week
@Oscarzxn
Punch out is all about stereotypes. The change on console was not about losing the stereotype, but losing the alcohol reference.
Re: Nintendo's Damon Baker Explains Why Some Indie Devs Are Refused Access To The eShop
Re: Sonic Mania Plus Arrives On Switch This Summer
I feel okay with the digital. The art book seems cool, but would just sit on a shelf. Now if they'd release an actual Genesis cart with game I'd have to be all over that.
Re: Random: We Have Our First Nintendo Labo Knock-Off
Won't be the last one. But I do think they risk getting pulled from the market with how closely they followed Nintendo's marketing. But what do they care. They are probably a shell company that will just close up shop and take any money they've made to that point if Nintendo does go legal on them.
Re: Soapbox: My Nintendo's Updated Rewards Scheme Is Anything But Rewarding
@Yorumi
Re: Soapbox: My Nintendo's Updated Rewards Scheme Is Anything But Rewarding
@Yorumi
Re: Soapbox: My Nintendo's Updated Rewards Scheme Is Anything But Rewarding
@Yorumi
Re: Hyperkin's New SupaBoy Has Superior Coloured Buttons And A 4:3 Screen Option
Re: These Retro-Themed Joy-Cons And Pro Controller Are An 8-Bit Dream
If there was a VC and if these were good reproductions of the originals. Not that it looks bad, just not interested.
Re: The Nintendo Switch News Channel Took Almost A Year To Create
As I'm not a software developer, I'm not going to comment on the length of time to develop a minor feature for the console. But it does kill me that Nintendo continues to act like a small company. They are on pace to make $1.6 billion US dollars this year. Whatever the coding needs, pay some people for a browser, Netflix, cloud saves, and VC. It's getting ridiculous that the Switch doesn't have these things.
Re: Random: Nintendo Lands Itself In Hot Water With Norway
@clvr
Re: Feature: Getting The Best Picture Out Of Your Nintendo 64: The RGB Edition

https://www.videogameperfection.com/2014/12/08/everdrive-64-review/
"In spite of this, Krikzz has managed to make the ED64 virtually region free. Supposedly there are a handful of titles that don’t run correctly without additional patching but they are few and far between. Note that if you load a PAL title on an NTSC machine, it will still run at 50hz (and vice versa we would assume). This has been reported to cause issues on some setups, probably due to the timing crystals in each machine being ever so slightly different. We tried a handful of PAL titles on our NTSC machine and they all ran flawlessly."
Re: Feature: Getting The Best Picture Out Of Your Nintendo 64: The RGB Edition
@samuelvictor
Re: Nintendo Changes Requirements For Its Controversial YouTube Creators Program

Whether or not you use that copyright work for commercial purposes doesn't matter. There are many legit cable tv shows that rely entirely on fair use.

Recently played the Snes version. I found it pretty fun.
Re: Weirdness: Switch's HD Rumble Helps Australian Man Discover Tumour In His Hand
Not really sure this has anything to do with rumble. Likely to be the smaller size of the joystick putting more pressure on the tumor as the way he clamped his hand around it.
Re: The Analogue Super Nt Is The Ultimate SNES Clone, And You Can Pre-Order Now
@DEZn00ts
Re: Review: Xeodrifter (Switch eShop)
I feel like I beat this game on 3DS. But the fact that I can't remember makes me think I didn't think this game was worth all that much.
Re: The Analogue Super Nt Is The Ultimate SNES Clone, And You Can Pre-Order Now
@DEZn00ts
Re: Hardware Review: The Analogue Super Nt Is The Ultimate Way To Play SNES Games In 2018
@BulbasaurusRex
Re: Hardware Review: The Analogue Super Nt Is The Ultimate Way To Play SNES Games In 2018
@BulbasaurusRex
The negatives are worth it to you. The super nt is worth it to me. You are wrong though, the Super NT adds no lag. If your setup has lag then it can't remove the lag in the setup. If your opinion is CRTs are better that's fine, but they have their faults.
Just an FYI. Both CRTs and LCDs refresh screen top to bottom. So when a monitor like say this cheap one: https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-ZOWIE-inch-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01H5KKRLO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1518576892&sr=8-1&keywords=RL2455HM has a rtings rating of 10 ms. You have to realize that they are measuring the lag in the middle of the screen. At 60hz a CRT measured lag in the middle would be 8.3 ms. Gaming monitors are essentially at CRT type lag levels today.
Re: Hardware Review: The Analogue Super Nt Is The Ultimate Way To Play SNES Games In 2018
@BulbasaurusRex
Re: Nintendo Believes That The Switch Could Sell Beyond The Usual 5-6 Year Console Life Cycle
Re: Hardware Review: The Analogue Super Nt Is The Ultimate Way To Play SNES Games In 2018
@BulbasaurusRex
Re: Rejoice, Soon You'll Be Able To Use Your My Nintendo Gold Points On The Switch eShop

DPP overlapped ClubNintendo for a while too. So you could get 10% and points towards free VC games or other rewards.
Re: Rejoice, Soon You'll Be Able To Use Your My Nintendo Gold Points On The Switch eShop
@KIRO
Lucky you. For my birthday they offered me 20% off of a selection of 3 games that I already had. Needless to say I had to pass on that deal.
Re: Rejoice, Soon You'll Be Able To Use Your My Nintendo Gold Points On The Switch eShop
Anybody else think it's funny that Nintendo paid DeNa all this money to help them make a rewards program. Then the rewards program is basically let's take DDP (a program you used to have in place) and cut the rewards in half because they were way too generous?
Re: Hardware Review: The Analogue Super Nt Is The Ultimate Way To Play SNES Games In 2018
@impurekind
Re: Hardware Review: The Analogue Super Nt Is The Ultimate Way To Play SNES Games In 2018
@impurekind
Re: Hardware Review: The Analogue Super Nt Is The Ultimate Way To Play SNES Games In 2018
@Damo
I agree. I think well done upscaled games look better on modern displays. Crts give a more "authentic" experience, but I've never been a fan of scanlines.
Re: Billy Mitchell Reacts to Accusations of Fake Donkey Kong High Score
@Kalmaro
