Airplane mode really works too. Just turn on airplane mode and it turns off the wifi, Bluetooth and nfc radios and it stops the switch from constantly checking for updates and other things. Saves alot of battery. If you don't care about switch online features, do this.

@SteamEngenius this is a sequel to a game that has been out longer than Mario Odyssey. The original kiwi had the same mechanics and is much older. Just saying.

Despite it's problems I still think switch is my favorite Nintendo console. It's just great in so many ways. That said they could improve some things, like add a messaging system and a better way to add friends. The games could be cheaper too. Other than that, it's a fun system. I haven't loved a Nintendo system this much since GameCube.

Nintendo should stick to consoles. They're mobile games are not that great. Mobile is a waste of resources. Focus on console games instead.

I'll buy it, if it's not cloud based. If it's cloud I won't be buying it. Cloud games are trash.

@Dezzy70 not to mention so many here grew up on the Harry Potter games with past Nintendo consoles.

Skyrim, The Witcher 3 and the outer worlds prove this can run on switch without cloud versions with some major tweaking. Also, This is a Harry Potter game. The past harry potter games have all been on Nintendo consoles as well and with switch having sold so well there is no way they are going to skip it. I doubt it's a cloud game. They probably have tuned it to run on the console by doing some major cuts to the graphics and frame rate. Interesting to see how it will run. Guess we will find out.
If it was a cloud version I feel like the case would literally say "internet required" and it doesn't.

Never thought I'd be this upset about a final update, but here we are. I'm happy about what's in the update and blown away with the size of the update and paid expansion, but new horizons was my life last year during lockdown and pandemic and I still adore it and it was my GOTY 2020. The end of support for the game is heartbreaking.

The only reason I believe this rumor is that rockstar has likely seen the recent efforts to port the game to switch and psvita (and those efforts by hackers succeeded). The unofficial ports were met with acclaim by fans in the community and ran just fine. Now rockstar sees that and wants in.
People have been requesting grand theft auto on switch for years and it hasn't happened yet which is shocking considering just how good the switch sold. Rockstar is all about money and switch is a great outlet for the classic GTA games to be ported to. I actually believe this rumor. I'll be really upset if it turns out to be false. I can play GTA on the go on my phone, yes, but I want them on switch. Having real physical buttons beats touch screen any day.

I think nintendo lied about them being limited run just to make people "panic buy" and cause the sales to spike. I've seen no shortage of copies of 3D all stars or game and watch anywhere. Fully stocked everywhere I've seen it. Not only that, but I work at Walmart and electronics shipments come in and more copies of 3d all stars for switch came in recently. It's not limited run like they said. They're obviously still producing it.

Regardless, makes me laugh because you have scalpers trying to sell both for hundreds of dollars on eBay and Mercari just for it to be normal price at any store and still in stock.

Oled looks better but that is where it ends. Screen burn in is very common on OLED screens. I can see this being a problem in the future.

People saying it's fake but yet many including me have already found it at Walmart. Walmart in Belleville MI had it in stock early. I bought one already. Rings up as $24.99. UPC 9516613659. I was able to purchase and buy early. Went back later to pick up another one for a friend and they were gone. Asked an employee who went back and found the box in the backroom and it had a street date of sometime in August 2021. They accidently broke street date. Oops.

This is precisely why nintendo needs a quality control team for the eShop. So many of these garbage mobile quality games keep appearing on there lately. And not to mention ones like game of life and spongebob crusty cook-off that are FREE on cell phones but somehow THIRTY DOLLARS on switch. Nintendo needs to boot all these developers.

When I used to develop games in my freetime and release them on the microsoft store, they go through a authentication check and a check by a microsoft rep to ensure quality and make sure it isn't a scam or something broken. Guarantee you whoever at the support team for microsoft store approved this just got fired.

Another garbage update

Looks like I'm done buying from Humble Bundle. The whole point of humble bundle is to support charity. 15% is small change.

The only thing it's worth it for is homebrew. If you plan on buying a wiiu, homebrew it. Otherwise, it's not worth it. There's a reason the wiiu failed. It's personally my least favorite Nintendo console and it really shouldn't have been developed. But then again, it's failure led to the amazing nintendo switch, so I guess.

This game is really good.

Wish they'd introduce some kind of offline bots mode. That's what is keeping me from buying this game. I really want this dlc and the silent hill dlc. But only online? Pass.

Friday the 13th has offline bots. Why can't DBD manage it?

My dream (which is a pipe dream, I know) would be to see ports of several popular Microsoft owned IPs be brought over. I want to see Fallout 3/NV, Oblivion, The Evil Within 1 and 2, State Of Decay and more.
Would love to see GamePass come as well in some form.

This game is very good

Something not a lot would like, but imagine an MMO animal crossing game where multiple people could all meet and chat. Something like club penguin, imvu, second life or playstation home.

This game is way overpriced.

The problem is alot of nintendo's back catalog are a bunch of washed up franchises that nobody cares about anymore. I want to see new ips. Big ips. No more little kid games.
