Although the name "Wii U" didn't help its sales, I think the true problem was terrible marketing on the part of Nintendo.

Also, the sales of the Wii, while fantastic, were destined to not continue on with the Wii U to some extent, because the non-traditional/less serious gamers that were drawn to Wii don't have a desire to upgrade.

I agree, Splatoon would certainly be no.1 on my list. Super Mario Maker would be no.2 for me. I think those games deserve the top two spots because they are the freshest (pardon the pun) games Nintendo has released in a long time. Don't get me wrong, I love MK8 (it is my favorite Mario Kart to date by far) but it would be no.3 for me because it just doesn't break new ground in the way Splatoon and SMM do.

If only Pikmin 3 wasn't so darn expensive...

I never actually played the original, just NSMBU. I found NSMBU to be extremely enjoyable!

Mario Kart 8 is my favorite. Admittedly the only handheld Mario Kart I've played was MKDS. I've played all the console ones except Super Mario Kart. I hated MKDS because of the snaking. Never could figure it out...

Uggggggggh, this is like snaking all over again from MKDS. I was pretty pleased with the balance in MKWii. I hope they fix this.

I absolutely LOVE this game.

I've never gotten the whole workout game thing. They do not seem particularly effective to me. I don't think they have anything on going to an actual gym, but hey: if they get the blood flowing for some, that is a good thing I guess?

I hope this is reminiscent of the Savage Labyrinth in WW

I don't like the color. I think I'm gonna go with the red 2DS.

I don't get all the hate for the 2DS. I myself can see the appeal of the 3DS graphics, but I personally do not like the 3D.

Not everything on Nintendo need be family friendly. In fact, that is a stereotype that sadly steers some gamers away from the Big N.

Hmmmm, I just looked the Versus up on Amazon. Its worth noting that the thing got pretty terrible reviews.

This seems pretty cool. I have a pro controller, 3 Wiimotes, Wii classic, and the Wii U gamepad, so I might have to pick one of these up for a more traditional Smash feel.

Good memories. I only really ever played Mario Kart Wii online, but put tons of time into it. On to bigger and better things!

I'm very excited for these! Honestly I've assumed they would do these remakes for a long time. I don't own a 3DS, just the Wii U, but now that these are coming out I'm thinking I'll have to buy one!

Awesome! The console wars are pathetic. I do not really care what any one plays but myself, everyone has personal preferences and should respect the preferences of others. I do not understand why people get so worked up about video games that OTHER people play.

CD definitely. Pretty decent gift. Glad to finally hear what the gifts are going to be.

Controllers are way to expensive nowadays. $40 for a Wiimote+ and $20 for the Nunchuk. That is $60 for just one controller setup, which seems like too much for me.

I agree that Ocarina made HD would be really cool, and sell a lot of Wii Us. Although I would like that, I am still going to be picking up WWHD
