I’m confused by the polarity of the reviews.

@XerBlade Good on you for knowing about this already, but there is enough of an audience who didn’t know. My original point stands:

Just because it’s not news to YOU doesn’t mean it’s not news to others.

If you or anyone else are regularly getting Nintendo news faster via other sources, why come to Nintendo Life just to make others (and the team) feel like crap? It’s unproductive and disrespectful to the entire community.

@Shepdawg1 I’m going to say this loudly for you and all the others who comment about “slow news days.”

Just because YOU don’t find a particular story newsworthy doesn’t mean it isn’t. You have the freedom to scroll through and read whatever IS of interest to you, yet you’re here being passive aggressive instead.

I’m not sure what you get out of it, but I advise you to stop. If you’re part of this community, perhaps you could at least try to respect it.

@Bablommebite That’s a very good point. I’ve yet to finish Bayonetta 1 after starting it shortly after it was released, but I remember enjoying it quite a bit. I may give it some time and reconsider.

Voice acting debacle aside, Hideki Kamiya’s attitude and general way of communicating with the public put me off from any desire to support his games.

Anyone who treats other people like they’re worthless isn’t going to get my support. It’s as simple as that.

I hope you all enjoy playing the game, nonetheless. It looks like a fun time!

I don't think most people understand the sheer scale of these games. They may not run perfectly, but if you're a Pokémon fan and you skip them... you'll be missing out sorely.

Do as you please, however. We all have the ability to choose our own adventures. 🍵🐸

I'm fine with everyone making their personal decision to boycott/not boycott the game, but the toxic lack of compassion in many of these comments is shameful. You don't have to agree to have compassion.

I understand wanting more details regarding the amount of work and how the $4000 was to be broken down, but some of you seem to be flat-out enjoying Hellena Taylor's plight. I have no respect for that.

I have no issue with this whatsoever, but they couldn’t announce or confirm this at any point prior to the month of release? That’s kind of funny.

It’s just an award. It doesn’t retcon how much anyone enjoyed or didn’t enjoy BDSP. There’s really no controversy here and the debates seem pointless. 🤷🏽‍♂️

@Anti-Matter I love Cooking Mama and similar games myself, but the art direction and branding for this particular title feels a bit all over the place for me.

The voiceover for the ad uses the kind of cutesy voice we hear in commercials for toys/kid products. However, Nile Rogers is present as well. Not someone kids would really be familiar with, let alone in relation to food.

The dancing also threw me off. I guess I just don’t see a lot of focus in the trailer. 🤷🏽‍♂️

The food looks stunning, though.

If it’s not coming out until October 4, why does the trailer say “ Now Available?” 🤔

I can’t tell who this game is being marketed toward.

@Arckadius TemTem was released on September 6. I’m surprised it wasn’t included in this list considering it has been featured on the site multiple times.

I don’t play it but I would love for more gacha games to adopt this approach instead. This is great news for gaming!

@Rykdrew - Come back after you’ve handled Cynthia in BDSP or taken on the hardest battles in Legends Arceus’s main campaign. Or just don’t play Pokémon at all if it’s not your thing. Steam has plenty to keep you challenged.

Splatoon is the obvious choice, but I also don’t think we have room for an ever-growing list of live service games. Just like there are too many streaming services, there are too many games demanding constant attention and interaction to get the most out of them these days.

Is this satire? I know the incident happened because I saw the original post on Reddit, but the highlighted comments show multiple examples of “passive instruction giving.” 🤔

I love the Switch and I love Harry Potter. This game should not be coming to Switch. Avalanche can't even get a handle on the development of this game for other platforms. 🤦🏽‍♂️

If there ever is a new model of the Switch with significantly upgraded hardware and features, it will likely just be called the “New Nintendo Switch.” I’m partial to “Super Nintendo Switch.” I don’t think Nintendo is ready to move away from the iconic Switch branding just yet.

It's incredibly heartbreaking given how strong his spirit and resolve to fight this was in his YouTube video on April 26. Not even two months later and he's gone.

I backed on Kickstarter in 2018 and chose the Switch as my platform of choice. Here we are four years later and I'm sadly no longer interested.

I tried the early access on PS5 and it just didn't do it for me. I'm glad to have helped fund the project but I don't see it holding its own long-term.

Crema positioned TemTem as a competitor to Pokémon that would make a number of changes Pokémon fans were looking for back in 2018. However, here we are in 2022, post-Legends Arceus, and with Scarlet & Violet on the horizon with open-world and online multiplayer gameplay mechanics.

TemTem will certainly have its niche audience and that's great, but this backer is backing out. 👋🏼

I'm sure Nintendo has their reasons, they just haven't done a great job communicating or explaining them to the public. We don't have to agree with their reasoning but something is better than nothing.

Though they really don't have to explain anything if they choose not to. They've certainly earned the right to have agency over their decisions in the gaming industry.

I hope this is an instance of a demo being released prior to the game's release and not after. Fingers crossed it also allows the carrying over of save data to the full game. 🤞🏼
