@dereq yep, it was all in that subtle control scheme. GX always felt really jarring and harsh to control and lacked the same finesse. Glad someone else can see it that way too!
@duffmmann maybe. I've tried to demonstrate that I have nostalgia for both, one with magazines and one with creating an entire website, so I have a fondness for both in that regard. It basically comes down to gameplay, and for me, X is better in that department.
@ReaderRagfihs you know, I think I probably played without it on this game, I don't distinctly recall using it anyway. I've not used a rumble pak in years!
@BarFooToo I was thinking the same... surely there is a finished Retro Studios game somewhere here? They can't have just been doing ports and helping out other studios all this time.
@Agramonte haha, no problem - it's obvious hit and miss, sometimes up, sometimes down but there is no proven bias seems this one has divided critics though.
@Agramonte according to our profile on Metacritic: "On average, this publication grades 9.7 points lower than other critics. (0-100 point scale)", so I guess by bump you mean we've scored it down? reviews are subjective, so maybe Gavin just liked the game more than Martin at EG?
@Paulman4ever you aren't alone, Snowboard Kids was one of my favourite N64 games. I'm not sure it could be remastered for this list though, it would need a full remake. I'd love to see that franchise come back though
@Roam85 the level editor was released in Japan, it's great fun. You are right about GX, if they ever release it then it should include all the AX content too - that would be great.
@Dr_Corndog yep, there isn't a lot of news during Christmas week as most companies are on vacation. That's why we decided to post up some fun content like this to fill the void.
@Nintendofan83 I don't disagree, we need new games as well, but that is up to the developers to come up with new ideas for games and franchises. Hopefully 2019 will bring us a good mixture of both.

@GrailUK funny, I thought you might say that with that avatar Super Monkey Ball would be great, I have to agree.
Re: Feature: 17 Remasters We'd Love To See On Switch In 2019
@Garage we skipped that as it already has a sequel on the system... but it, of course, would make a fine addition!
