Re: Where To Pre-Order Nintendo Switch 2

ZombAid82

Anyone in Germany gotten an invite?
I would qualify easily and got nothing...
Pre-ordered Switch 2 with MKW at Media Markt and Amazon just in case, but really would've loved the GC Controller directly from Nintendo.

Where's Mina y'all?!
Cannot wait for that little Mouse.
I gladly Kickstarted it after missing out on Shovel Knight and being blasted away by that pearl of a game!

@Picola-Wicola

You don't have to, but why shouldn't you?
It sets the stage for the others that follow and has its own physics and the plot starts right there.
Also the most balanced in terms of jump and logic in the platforming, if that makes any sense.

Re: Review: Animal Well (Switch) - An Exceptional Metroidvania That Stands Out From The Pack

I'm at the End and it is as spectacular as the review suggests. The feel of wonder and bewilderment is second to none and the atmosphere pulls you right in.
If you like Plattform driven Metroidvanias this is the one you've been missing all your life. The only downside is, as in the review mentioned as well, the teeny-tiny-map that could really use one more blow up and that the physical release is handled by LRG. Anything but them and I would have bought a regular and a collector's edition, just to support the developer and I cannot wait what they'll do next.

Re: Microsoft's Xbox Layoffs Hit Crash Bandicoot And Spyro Developer 'Toys For Bob'

I don't get it. MS has no games, yet they throw out all their workforce to build said games... Truly baffling after all these acquisitions. At least try to steer the ship with a plethora of innovative concepts and put them into game pass, to make it more of a must have.

For some small indie titles, third-party mass ware and the few MS-Exclusives (that barely are of any interest to me) I wouldn't get the service. But a vast exclusive library would make me even consider buying an Xbox.

I bought the Xone and played exactly two games on it. Ori and Ori 2 and that is also the reason why I didn't invest into XseriesX because I don't get a boner for Halo or Forza or GoW. Less Dude-Bro gaming, more colorful concepts full of quirk and wonder please.

@JohnnyC
PS Plus is not the same as GamePass, not even close.
If there would be day one Playstation Exclusives on PS Plus, I'd get it immediately.

Re: 30 Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games To Look Forward To In 2024

ZombAid82

1. Metroid Prime 4
2. Silksong
3. Mina the Hollower
4. Paper Mario TTYD
5. Unicorn Overlord
6. Laika
7. Metal Slug Tactics
8. Decapolice
9. The Plucky Squire
Those are just the ones on this list that are highly awaited from me. Sounds like we're feasting next year once again. Crazy, if you consider this to be the twilight years from a seven year old console!

Re: 3DS And Wii U Online Play Ends In "Early April" 2024

ZombAid82

It would be nice, if NL would do a poll, to ask who's still using their Online Features on those two Systems. I bet it's not even 3% of this Hardcore Nintendo Community... And even less so with other demographic. Everything has to come to an end and I think that Nintendo went above and beyond to provide servers, especially for WiiU.

@HeadPirate
"Here is another really fun thing to do to prove to yourself how much you have detached yourself from reality. Google the highest rated game publisher by meta-critic. This is just average opinion of every game they publish, divided by number of titles, counting all titles they directly develop and publish as well as all games from owned studios."

And how many games did MS release each year? How many did Sony? And how many did Nintendo release?! Exactly. That is the difference my "friend". An average game does put a dent into such a calculation. But I know that you knew that already, didn't you? You're just trolling until the end of times it seems.

Also, a Japanese Stock firm is very much different to an American. Nintendo cut their higher ups earnings, if the overall numbers don't crunch, they pay 10% more salary to their workers without any strikes of a union to get the ball moving and they didn't ask the Shareholders before, if that was a good idea or not. Also, they don't publish a game if it isn't finished or crunch their people to death. I hear that MS is better in that regard as Activision, but still not on the same level for some care of their workforce. Bobby Kotick earned 100 Million while 800 staffers were laid off. And that at times when they made serious bank. What would happen in those conglomerates if they had a WiiU-sized flop? You know it, I know it. But keep supporting those wonderful American Values these companies put up.

That is why I'm totally on board with MS buying the horrible ACT/BLI and Bethesda but they should never neuter the independence of Nintendo!

Also, your claims that Sony has more first party studios might be right, but not in terms of Workforce, when you calculate all the staffer under the MS-Games-Divison-Umbrella.
