Maybe Nintendo UK have listened to the illustrious NintendoLife editors and moderators, and finally finally decided to publish ROM hacks/homebrew for Nintendo Switch?
@the8thark If only that was true, sadly when you report stuff like this as news, you are promoting piracy. I have seen other news here with citations to ROM translation and video how to guides on hacking snes mini classics.
As for the reviews here, I don't trust them due to past of reviewing VC games using PC ROMS and 5 min reviews of WiiWare games.
Another hypocritical double standard article. It beggars believe NintendoUK have a relationship with this site; who in turn are trying to keep their Switch/3DS exploit free for developers, and you post this smut as news?
@uhhhhhhhh Ha, this is the same site tat posts clickbait and Rom hacks, yet if a user posted such content in the forum, his/her thread would be locked.
Once again, a game suffers thanks to a rushed out 5 minute job review.
This looks nice and all. However what I want to see is a free ROM download of the switch version of BOTW. Perhaps a kind NintendoLife editor or even a moderator can point me n the right direction? After all they do advocate such illegal activity.
There will never be a text release with those types of videos, as Alex wants the clicks on his "professional" videos. Really wish he would bring back his review for Sonic Forces back, thankfully somebody re-uploaded. : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIlcFOhFK5Q
Judging by his attempts at wit and the forced smile, Alex really does hate his job, more so he can't even review a demo properly.
Might get this somewhere down the WiiWare gets yanked. Don't care about this review, this is the same reviewer who removed comments on VC-REVIEWS back in day to cover his mistakes, and loved reviewing ROMS from the Wii VC days.
This is an excellent selection of games. But will it have good emulation? Nearly all collections I played either have odd querks and bugs there and there or horrible emulation. disabled rain effects and scratchy sound effects on those SNK Wii collections for example.
LOL I didn't get the chance to play those on Wii U. Maybe if I am lucky, a generous NLife reader will give me a copy of the special edition bundle, direct from a Nintendolife article.
"Once again an anonymous Nintendo Life reader wanted to help us"
Never heard of an anonymous person send free swag like this to other major Nintendo sites, esp 3-4 times on this same site Not like NLife would generate fake news story of an anonymous person giving a free console and game, which was bought by themselves to generate traffic to their site. NO that would be silly.
No retail release for the Switch version, despite majority of Nintendo backers on KIckstarter? Did a Nintendo fan poison Playtonic's beloved pet goldfish or something?
Naaaaaaa I don't need a Alex Olney trick video to let me know if I should download or not (though I can tell he despises his job with the way he talks). Sonic Forces wan an absolute blast despite his "preview" review he removed on youtube a while back.
@Rhaoulos Sorry, just seen your comment now. It's true as others have stated, for me the monetisation itself is not an issue. What bothers me most is that some of the articles are disguised as content, without being upfront that they affiliate links or +1 for adlinks etc . Comes across as trickery and spammy (worse with the clickbait titles like in this article)
Should have know this was a Damien McFerran article, when I saw the clickbait article title and poorly written tagline. At least this article has written content I guess....
@SmaMan You could get the Wii's SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1, for same price, though the emulation on those games ranges from iffy to awful. Those disk collections are only good if you want games on the cheap, NOT for good emulation quality like Hamster releases.
Another unprofessional clickbait article, that doesn't even qualify as news. Thanks Damien McFerran! Why should I visit this site to read cheap rubbish like this?
"This particular game is currently only available in Japan (was released today in Japan) & at the moment we have no news to share regarding a western release."
Yeah the title in this news headline is misleading. After all I guess this site needs the clickbait. Hench the words "& at the moment".
@GreatPlayer Makes sense, thanks for replying. Think I will ignore that video and this review and grab this game at some point. Too much of a Switch backlog atm lol.
Hmmm conflicting review here. As a new Switch owner I want this game, but at the same time Nintendolife also seemed to have uploaded a Youtube video a while back saying it is a bad game. -

Re: Feature: Memorable Games of 2017 - Ever Oasis
Would have been even more awesome, if there was a rom hack in the link of the article, as this site sure does love retro rom hack articles.
Re: Super Mario Land 2 Gets a Fan-Made Colour Treatment
I hate to be that guy, but I somehow doubt Nintendo would be keen about ROM hack articles like this, which is turn is promoting piracy.
Re: ARMS Version 5.0 Is The Last Content Update The Game Will Recieve
Next year Nintendo will delist the game on Eshop. Mark my words.

Re: Bring the Joy of Super Mario Odyssey and Nintendo Switch to Someone Special This Christmas
@Stubi Too true. Too many times "A generous NLife reader" has given away stuff. Also a lot of effort in that banner posted.

Too late for me as well. I called it a day after the 45 min raid rule + reduced legendaries were introduced.

Re: The Last Blade Is Your Next Neo Geo ACA Release On Switch
@vitalemrecords If you even bothered to use Google search, you would have seen Last Blade is on of the best fighting games.
if NES/SNES VC came out on Switch would be classified as shovelware?
Re: Top Hunter Is Your Next Neo Geo ACA Release On Switch
@SmaMan You got you there. Just prefer to pay a lil more for better quality, no matter how short a game is.
Re: They'll Sure See You Coming With These Super Mario Switch Quick Pouches
Another clickbait article masqueraded as news, in fact a spammy affiliate link? No thanks...
