@blackice85 I didn't think about it under this perspective. With technological advance nowadays, the probability that this becomes a reality just grows everyday. It's a little frightening.
But from a legal standpoint, it won't be a threat for long. The juridical system has changed throughout the years to adapt to new evidence and scientific methods. You can discern a photoshopped picture (albeit unreliably) from a genuine one with the right equipment, so I have no concern that a loophole could be found if "shopped" video evidence was to be created.
It's either real or an incredibly well made fake. The only thing that bother me are the camera at the bottom and the huge "CONFIDENTIAL PROPERTY" sticker. The former seems very misplaced and the latter trying to be the real deal, but I could be wrong.
Man, I love Super Mario Maker drama. If they ever made a play about it, I'd watch it in an instant. It's like regular drama, but the premise is so unusual and out there, it makes for a very enjoyable experience.
I personally believe it's fake. It looks too... "perfect". As in basically an exact copy of the patent. And I love how the "NX" will fail because of the controller. The Wii U didn't fail because of the gamepad, but because of non existent marketing, odd naming and lackluster backlog of games. Calm down.
@Maxz That is... surprisingly accurate. And epic. Like anime levels of epic. (The level of epicness it represents is up to you, but think of it as pretty darn epic.)
I shall now picture knights in Shining Armour violently typing on magical keyboards to save Princess Vidja Games from the mythical Japanese dragons. ... The worst thing about that is I kinda want to hear such a story now.
@Yorumi Except you're on the Internet. It is oh so easy to pass complaints as "opinions". The game isn't out yet, all we know is that it has similar story to the 64 and that it includes motion controls. "Ruined" seems to have changed definitions, I see.
And you honestly think that giving "opinions" on here will the changes the practices of a whole company? A japanese company? Good job.
"Wah wah! Miyamoto is destroying my game! Muh story!"
Seriously, you complain now, even though everybody knew Miyamoto was behind the game since 2014? Even though they acknowledged LONG before that it was a reboot? Get out of here.
I didn't go in expecting much, so I was pleasantly surprised. Glad we have Europeans release dates. And Shibata dancing was amazing. He actually dances pretty well. Oh yeah, right! Ahem "Paper Mario Color Splash and Federation Force were the highlights of the direct." Fight me.
@gcunit The Yarn Yoshi was a plush. The Arwing was probably intended to be a hard figurine, which given it's design and functions, would not be up to safety and quality standards.
@Neko_Ichigofan As I said : "this ND will focus on actual releases that we are already know about."
"Reveals" are very few and in-between in Nintendo directs and considering the current drought, it is less than likely that we'll get an actual "reveal" of something new before E3.
And I never said that they wouldn't deliver new information. I clearly stated : "Do not expect a new game announcement or games that are not to be released in the specified timeframe."
We'll probably get info about release dates and such, but nothing more.
I'll say it right now: keep your expectations in check. It is more than certain that this ND will focus on actual releases that we are already know about. Do not expect a new game announcement or games that are not to be released in the specified timeframe. In short, don't expect Zelda U. Or whatever other rumors of games we have had the "pleasure" to hear of.
This is a vicious cycle. A beautiful, beautiful vicious cycle.
All these "leaks" and the speculations around them only builds fictitious expectations that I guarantee will not be met.
But do not fret! I have come from the distant future to enlighten you!
It was 2017, five years after the release of the NX. Nintendo discovered a time travelling technology that allowed them to replace the Wii U with the NX.
Turns out it wasn't a new system, but a new concept, a new way of life, indescribable to your primitive minds.
It was a revolution. Everybody was fighting over it. The war consumed Sony and Microsoft, unable to fight off such popularity. PC Gamers succumbed to it's appeal, leaving the computerized supremacy to self destruction.
It is now the year 20XX. The world is in ruins, under the harsh rule of its new commander, Kimishima. Mario games are now to be revered in all their sanctity, unless death is what you wish upon.
Playing Nintendo games is now mandatory.
When a suddenly, a young fool crawls up to the feet of our supreme leader Kimishima, and asked with a cracking voice:
"Why Lord? Why must you make us suffer this way?"
Our Lord slowly and menacingly walked up to the crying child and answered in a low voice and with a twisted smile:
"You had big expectations. You wanted greatness."
He then whispered to the child's ear:
"And we have delivered."
So here you have it! I hope that's what you wanted
Guys, my dad works at Nintendo and this leak is legitimate. It can also cook, predict the future and give you moral support, but only if you use the Shrek amiibo.
It would have had so much more of an impact if only the damn leaks didn't happen. Other than that, I was pretty satisfied, particularly by the bank info.
I still believe that the "NX" won't come out in 2016 and the fact that no one stills know anything about it (we don't even have a semblance of an official name) just makes me believe that all the more.
On another point, it is difficult to convey emotions through text but boy, does he sound frustated
@liljmoore Don't put Europe with Japan. For one, I'm still waiting for a FE Fates release date, which everybody and their mother already have. And remember that Nintendo is a japanese company.
@AndrewJ I doubt it. One of the major features in Skyward Sword is how to use the motion controls, whether it is in fighting or in puzzle solving. You can't waggle the Wiimote during a fight for example, since the enemies will block everything.

Re: Random: Metroid Resurrection - The Super Mario Maker Series With a Plot and Marketing
Yay I guess?
Re: The Falco amiibo Unlocks a Special Black Arwing in Star Fox Zero
It's a little amiibo function that doesn't take away content from the game, so it's good in my book.

Re: Fooling The World With a 3D Printed NX Controller
Fake leaks are going too far. We have come to the point where we can CREATE physical objects to pretend being the real deal.
GOOD LORD PEOPLE.
THINK OF THE CHILDREN.
Re: Rumour: New Nintendo NX Controller Images Surface and Set the Web Alight
Good lord, fake leaks just get more and more elaborate! That's kind of terrifying.
Re: Rumour: New Nintendo NX Controller Images Surface and Set the Web Alight
It's either real or an incredibly well made fake. The only thing that bother me are the camera at the bottom and the huge "CONFIDENTIAL PROPERTY" sticker. The former seems very misplaced and the latter trying to be the real deal, but I could be wrong.
In any case, only time will tell.
Re: Pokkén Tournament Beats Digimon to Number One in Japan and Boosts Wii U Sales
Japan: "Does it have the Pokemans."
Nintendo: "Yes, but-"
Japan: "Say no more bby."
Re: Nintendo Seeks a Trademark for Mario Coin Sound
I can kinda understand why they would do this, but I honestly think it's a bad idea. I mean sure, they created it, but it seems to be a bit too much.
Don't pull a Finebros. Please.
Re: Impressive Miitomo Download Numbers Credited For Sizeable Jump in Nintendo Share Value
Good news are welcome.

Re: Miitomo Makes Storming Debut on iOS in Japan
I honestly thought that Miitomo would flop in Japan and I'm extremely glad to be wrong. Here's to hoping it has at least a little success in the West.
Re: Stretchy And Sticky Splatoon Squid Toys Are Coming To Japan, Thanks To Taito
Oh Japan. You cray-cray.

"Sure I guess."
I mostly want the discounts.
Re: Review: Pokkén Tournament (Wii U)
Happy to hear the game has lived up to my expectations. I hope for an 8 or 9.
Re: Carnegie Mellon Professor Thinks Nintendo Is Working On A Fully-Mobile Virtual Reality Headset
I love this prediction. It's basically "ye, they be doin it. I can feel it in me jimmies".
I honestly doubt it.
Re: Impressive Fire Emblem Fates Sales Ensure It Makes an Impact on US Charts
I'm like to think that all the pseudo "controversy" about the game really was just a big advertisement stunt.
Nintendo has been playing us all.
Re: Poll: Which Is The Best Mario Spin-Off Series or Game?
Mario Kart #1 for sure.
Mario and Luigi is #2 because the bros interactions are simply adorable.
Then, Paper Mario I guess.

Yay!
@Shiryu Food and shelter are overrated. Japanese merchandise is where it's at.
Re: Video: Nintendo Details Super Mario Maker's "Key Update"
It's a very minor detail, but I really like how the text shakes with the hand whenever it says "Shake a [object]".
It's the little things.

@FTPinkRabbit Not mine. A friend showed it to me. I think a Japanese fan made it, but don't quote me on that.

I'm glad they kept the catcher game. My favorite one.

Something I doubt people will complain about, at least.

I'm one of the few who actually liked Sticker Star, so I'll keep an eye out.

Re: Video: Prepare for Drama in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD's Launch Trailer
I'll be honest, this excited me a little. It made me want to go dust off my old Wii copy. I really do love Twilight Princess.
Re: Trademarks And Logos For The Next Pokémon Game Surface Online Ahead Of Tomorrow's Nintendo Direct
More Pokemans. I'm satisified.
I was wondering what naming convention they would use (colors, letters, minerals). Now, we have to add celestial objects to the list.

So yeah. All that would be needed is a voice. Which wouldn't be hard to find.

In the US and Europe, Splatoon is a fad.
In Japan, it's a way of life.
