Re: Soapbox: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Straight Up Fails In Just One Respect: Accessibility

Sorry, 50th iteration? More like 5th for console games and 10th if we add handheld games. Seems like a lot but nobody complains about Mario games and there are a lot more of those! Plus, Skyward Sword was the last new Zelda game on consoles that was normal, and Link Between Worlds was the last handheld. It's been over a decade since those. And yes, people like me miss those types of Zelda games. Don't be all huffy over that :/

@BulbasaurusRex Trophies were more fun, looking at them from different angles, the descriptions, seeing your huge collection when you look at it all at once. World of Light is fun to unlock everything. Then it's just boring. Same matches with same conditions over and over...and the modes should be there in the beginning. The characters are great, but like Ridley, Inklings, they're not as good as Link or Zero Suit Samus, my two mains. I guess that's more of a personal preference.

If people like this game, hey, more power to them. But for me, characters and stages don't replace things I always liked. And everything Nintendo has done, at least IMO, since the Switch came out, was a cashgrab. Guess I'm just a cynic

@Trikeboy Where's Event Mode? Where's an actual All-Star Mode? Why did we need to pay for Home-Run Contest and Stage Builder? Custom moves were fun. Trophies were fun. Trophy-gathering minigames were fun. Characters, stages, music, basic gameplay are great, but so was it in Smash 4, and yes, that had more right out of the box. So no, more characters does not mean more gameplay.

Re: We Never Expected To See 'BDSM' On Nintendo Switch, Luckily It's Not What You Think

@ELRinley I just meant like people don't decide to be gay or straight or bi, they just are, but being a girl that's into girls myself, I see what you mean. But you got my point, which is to say just "innocent" words actually could be alienating and stigmatizing. It reminds me of one of my college courses about communication: it matters more how a message is received rather than what is actually said.

Saying "luckily the name is not what you initially thought" is kind of offensive to people that like "what they initially thought." Whatever someone is into, as long as it's not illegal, should not be shamed like that. It's like if a game was called "Gay and proud" (I know that's not "what people are into", shut up all you SJWs!) and someone says "Luckily, gay means happy here."

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses Patch Revises Sensitive Dialogue

Sounds even worse without context. Before it was like "Wow this guy thinks wives are just supposed to be domestic servants. He's a monster!" but now it's like "Does he think wives are just sex slaves?! I mean why else would he tie his daughter to a chair to be a good wife?"
