While I am disappointed, I expected this from the beginning. The only reason I speculated for it to come out this year was because Nintendo didn't say when it was coming out during E3.

Strange. I was just looking at the Steam page for this game and deciding whether or not it would be a candidate for my extreme spending extravaganza on the download service. I guess waiting a few more months won't be so bad, even just for a major graphical face-lift.

It'd be more likely that we'd see a 3DS version since the new Resident Evil on 3DS runs off of the MT Framework Engine, but hey, it can happen for Wii.

@Nintenzo yeah, I was thinking the same thing too. But then again, this is the "Piracy + Easy To Do =/= Everybody Does It" equation. Most people will be oblivious of the feature, instead opting to buy physical cartridges because that's just how they've been doing it for the past few years.

As for my opinion on this, this would be pretty cool. But Nintendo would have to make on heck of a anti-piracy program for it to work with what they've been saying. I just hope that solution isn't DRM based.

@Dazza I think Ryan Stradling means "Achievements" as in certain things you achieved, not as in something that increases your gamer score.

I know, it's INSANE how many games were announced for the 3DS on it's reveal day! But either way, that just means portable gems for the consumers!

James, you forgot to mention PilotWings Resort, Paper Mario, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid, Street Fighter IV, two Tom Clancy games, and Ridge Racer. Just a little mistake that I'd thought I'd tell you.

Taking in context, I'd recon that he meant "cool" as a "Yep, it works and everything looks to be fine" comment more than anything else. But I'm reading too deep into this.

Wasn't this debunked a long time ago? Either way, at least something useful came out of this; we can now call the 3DS the "Nintendo DS CTR".

Due to this announcement, I might actually be interested in the series again. But I'll wait for more info.
