@sagen You know, I haven't realized before until you said that, but Ganon/Ganondorf hasn't been in a main Zelda game (disbaring remakes) since Twilight Princess. There is Yuga-Ganon in ALBW, if you count that, and Hyrule Warriors has him, but that is a spinoff rather then a main game.
Wondering if he is going to return in the new The Legend of Zelda.
@shaneoh I thought I was the only one who thought that. Minish Cap is good, but the Oracle games are the truly underrated Zelda games. Both Oracle games are my absolute favorite of the top down Zeldas.
Thats fine by me. SSB Wii U is fantastic, from what I've played so far, and if the Sakurai developed SSB games end, I want it to end with this one. I know I can't express the amount of gratitude and appreciation you deserve in the proper words, not compared to the amount of blood, sweat, and sacrafices you have poured into this series. I will just simply say...thank you! Now take a break, get some rest and recooperation, you have certainly deserved it.
One of the games I've been waiting for to come to the VC. I played my first FE game, Sacred Stones, when it was released as a 3DS Ambassador game. After playing through it, I've been craving some more FE, and the very first FE game (released in the US), has been near the very top of the list to play.
Still need to pick up Fire Emblem: Awakening as well.
Costume Quest 2, of course, as it's the only game on this list (and one of the few games period) to take place on Holloween! I actually won't be playing the sequel this Holloween, as I'm saving money for other games this holiday season, but I've got the original CQ queued up for replaying tomorrow! On the horror side of Holloween, I got Fatal Frame, which I have yet to play, so that should be exciting!
@ZenTurtle Yep, now if only we could get the third game as a sequel. Do 3DS remakes of the first two games, adding compatibility with the third game. Nintendo...you can have that idea, free of charge.
A great game, that makes you feel for the NPCs, as they live out their lives, rather then stand in place all the time. Plus the amazing side quests (do I even have to mention the Kafei and Anju side quest). Not only is it my favorite Zelda game, it is my favorite game of all time!
Great game, and it surprised me when I found out it was published by Atlus many years later (never bothered with, and didn't even really know, video game publishing when I was younger). For the longest time, I thought the Wii Trauma Center was my first Atlus game, but it turns out it was this gem along!
Kirby's Dream Course!!! I have never actually played this game, but I have been highly intrigued in it since I saw some footage in the 20th anniversary collection. Going to have to spend some of my coins on this.
Definitely going to get this at some point. I've been itching to play a great action game, and I have an even bigger itch to go through the DmC games again (don't have any of my old DmC copies, though). Considering this series and DmC were made by the same guy, and the action looks top notch, this should be able to scratch both itches.
I haven't played any of the GBA games, but I did play Dawn of Sorrow (my first Castlevania game) and Portrait of Ruin on the DS. Loved them, and loved going back to SotN with my PS3. Really love the Metroidvania style CV games than the old CV games, so hopefully I will enjoy the GBA trilogy games.
The Hanafuda one is excellent! Beautiful and, well, the title of it's soundtrack says it all (Elegance).
I kind of want to get the Wood Burned Mario theme, partly because of it's Super Mario Sunshine: Secret Level track, :3 but I've already bought 2 themes on impulse, which was two more then I planned. Gahhh, I just couldn't help myself!
One of the best N64 games, and it is very high on my list of favorite games. While Super Mario 64 has some things over Banjo Kazooie, BK has better points as well, namely it felt like a more open world. In SM64, you can roam around, but ultimately, your goal is to head for the star you entered the world for (with some leeway towards getting other stars), borrowing from the level gameplay of it's Super Mario Bros. predecessors, but in BK, you can get the puzzle pieces in any order you want, as long as you have the ablities to reach it. Rare's rich humor and charm also made BK's world more lively and interesting.
While I love and cherish both games, I think I would give the slight edge to Banjo Kazooie. I also continue to dread the likeliness we will never get a Banjo Threeie that truly lives up to the legacy of the first two games.
I don't like how it is a digital only release, or I would have picked it up immediately. I already have the Wiiware versions that released 4 years ago, but I would really like physical copies of one of my favorite series.
That aside, I'm really liking all the comments of newcomers to the series interested in this. This is the best way to get the first three games, besides the iOS version. Now if only the Professor Layton series could get a collection like this.
Slight spoiler Kind of off topic, but is it just me, or does the orange/brownish tinted boss based off the deadly sin greed remind anyone of Gamagori from Kill la Kill.
Have never played a DQ game before, but I've been wanting to try one out. So yeah, I'll bite...if it comes to the North America part of the "West", that is.
Great deals, but being the huge Zelda fan that I am, I already own every one of these games (except Hyrule Warriors, but that is not even out in my territory yet). Plus, I live in the US, anyways.
I know it is the wooden sword from the NES TLoZ, but it reminded me of 3D Dot Game Heroes comically oversized swords at first glance. Kind of fitting since 3DDGH is heavily inspired by the NES TLoZ
What the button SHOULD do imo. When connecting to the Wii U version of the game, you unlock all of the 3DS stages for your Wii U game, at least the ones you've already unlocked. It will likely never happen, but I can dream.
Phew, I thought this was the Gold/Platinum Rewards update, and that there would only be digital games as the rewards this year. Speaking of that, I really hope one of the Plat awards is The Wind Waker HD soundtrack Japan got last year. Seeing the Super Mario 3D World soundtrack wouldn't be bad either, but I would prefer the Zelda soundtrack.
Of all the Kirby games to get a sequel, this would have been the near the bottom of ones I would expect, even though it would be my most wanted! Since I no longer have my old copy of the predecessor, I thought I would just have to wait until DS games came to the VC, and hope Canvas Curse would be one of the ports. Now I can just enjoy the sequel instead! Well, hopefully being as good, if not better, then it's predecessor.
With all the announced Wii U games in the Digital Event, and the ones I still have to get, I feel perfectly satisfied with my Wii U purchase.
Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, Advance Wars, and Golden Sun, the three GBA games I want most, released all in the first month of the GBA VC!!! An excellent launch for the VC if I say so myself.
Definitely getting Superstar Saga and Advance Wars at launch. I also hope the second GS game, The Lost Age, is released soon after the first one.
If it's a physical copy when (if) it comes to the states, I'll gladly pick this up. I have the Wiiware versions, but I just love having an actual cart and case for my games, especially for a series I love so much.
You can find this, along with other goodies, like European playing cards, Hanafuda cards (yes, they still make these), etc., on their Japanese site. http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n09/index.html
You can't order these directly from the site, though, unfortunately.
I guess I'll just have to put Brawl back in. It has most of these tracks, and more, like Gyromite (which should have been on this, I've never played Gyromite, but the track they used in Brawl is fantastic). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG4G1wnDQX0
@GamerGleek47 Having played every game in the series, I feel compelled to steer a future Zelda fan in the right direction As others have said, don't base Ocarina of Time purely on looks. Also, I should mention that OoT has a rather slow start, in fact, all of the 3D Zelda games have had that problem. (I never did mind it, personally, but I know there are those out there that do) Since you have played Twilight Princess, I can tell you it isn't as slow a start as that game. (I also recommend giving TP a second try, I did, and I wound up loving it) Just stick with it and you should find out why it is so lauded.
Beyond Ocarina of Time, I recommend The Wind Waker HD and Skyward Sword. Skyward Sword is a bit more straightfoward experience compared to other Zelda titles, so it should be one of the easiest for newcomers to get into. The Wind Waker is fantastic, and one of the more unique games in the series. The HD version on Wii U has made some changes that should make it more newcomer friendly. Look up how to find the item, Swift Sail, if you find the sailing in the game a little too slow.
For the 2D Zeldas, I recommend any of them, except for the first one and Zelda II, unless you really want a challenge (I do recommend you playing them at some point, just not for starting out). A Link to the Past would probably be best, seeing as A Link Between Worlds is coming out. ALttP should help prepare you for ALBW, as it looks like it could be one of the more difficult Zeldas to come out.
After playing The Wind Waker HD, I'm all for more HD remakes. I would love to see Super Mario Sunshine HD and Twilight Princess HD the most!
Also, don't forget about Majora's Mask 3D with all these talks of HD remakes, Nintendo!!! Unless you plan on making it into an HD remake, in which case, TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!!!!!
Sweet! Also just found out that the Japanese Club Nintendo is getting a The Wind Waker HD soundtrack CD for those who register their copy of the game. I'm just a teenie bit (read: a whole lot) jealous of them Hopefully it can make it's way to the Europe and North America Club Nintendo at some point.
Almost gave me a heart attack! I though it was a special edition Mario themed console for a second. Would have made me possibly reconsider the Zelda bundle.
Although, this still looks like a pretty amazing bundle. What would be $380 (don't know how much euros it would be) would acutally sell for $299.99, quite a deal, if it comes to North America. Considering it's Mario, I'm pretty sure it will
Seeing all this Snowboard Kids love is freakin amazing! I played that so much as kid. Definitely a game that needs to come to the VC, along with Mischief Maker and Glover.

Re: Yet More Mario 3DS HOME Themes Arrive in Japan, Smash Bros. Options on the Way
They all look pretty great imo, but I find the wood 8-bit Mario one the best. I especially love how it looks like a level on the top screen.
Re: Super Smash Bros. 3-Poster Set Now Available from Club Nintendo in North America
Could have picked better newcomer posters, like the Mega Man one.

I loved my GBC, and I wish I still had it. It also had the best handheld Zelda titles imo. Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages
