What's even more amazing is that this game looked like a standard definition version of that on N64 nearly fifteen years ago!!!!! Released at the same time of gaming when playstation gamers were being "blown away" by the "jaw dropping" visuals of final fantasy viii. Utter joke how well the playstation was regarded over the N64 by the general public. Ludites played playstation. People who knew about games played N64. Truly one of the greatest consoles ever made with probably the highest number of exclusive AAA title of any format in history

What the heck is happening at 2:16? The Mask... was holding the skull kid, but with the skull kid's arms... wha?! That... never happened before! O.O

@DESS-M-8 For my money, pound for pound, the best ever console was the SNES, but then I'm a big JRPG guy and the top down Zeldas are my favorites.

N64 was a great system, but I recall that about halfway through the system's life cycle, I felt like all they made for it were racers, shooters, and 3D platformers. There was very little in the way of RPG, 2D platforming, or fighters (until Smash came around later on). I might have just been poorly informed at the time, though. That said, Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye, Smash, Mario 64, and Ocarina might be as much incredible gaming as any system needs.

Super excited! Can't wait!

This is why I like the 3d games better. Don't get me wrong, Minish Cap and A link Between Worlds are my jam, but there is something about the combat/scenery/cinematics of the 3d games that makes them stand above the rest to me. ALBW was a step in the right direction, tho.

If this game wasn't released on the same day as Monster Hunter I most likely would have ended up getting it. Monster Hunter will be taking all my free time so this game will have to wait.

Nothing against Zelda- I LOVE Zelda. Got the limited editions of both the game and New3DS on pre order. But Monster Hunter is one franchise that even the mighty Zelda bows out to.

Never played Majora's Mask before (only 3D Zelda I haven't played), I've got the Limited Edition New console with it preordered, the game looks truly incredible. I'm glad I waited for the remake instead of buying it on Wii VC.

On a side note, do any of you think that the fact that the game is coming out on Friday the 13th is just pure coincidence, or on purpose by Nintendo?

@Mus1cLov3r Yeah, I'll be getting the Monster hunter bundle cause it's really cool. Will probably get Xenoblade eventually as I've never played it, but I fear I'll be too busy with X... As for more exclusives, I would like them, but I know a lot of people who would not be happy about that, so I don't really care either way.

@sagen Ganon is locked in an eternity of Nothingness, being that this is the sequel to Ocarina if Time. Fortunately Skull Kid is the main antagonist for this one

@JaxonH Yeah it sure is and the fact that my brother preordered one isn't helping. I already own Majora's Mask on the Wii Virtual Console and since I would much rather play a new game, especially a Monster Hunter one, I opted to play that first! I will still get Majora's Mask 3D at some point but considering the incredible wealth of content typically found in Monster Hunter games that may not be for a very long time. Either way see you online and hit me up if you want to do some hunts since I will be playing this game day one, just not sure if I should bite on a New Nintendo 3DS! Decisions, decisions...

@BlatantlyHeroic You would think that but when I was unemployed while Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate was released I ended up playing that game for 9 hours at a time for a whole month, no joke. That was despite having played the heck out of Monster Hunter Tri for Wii already so I doubt I will get burnt out on a new Monster Hunter game for a very long time and since I am now employed and don't have the free time I had back then the game will last a lot longer. Plus, I have always preferred to play one meaty game at a time alongside a pick up and play game such as Smash for Wii U!

@sagen You know, I haven't realized before until you said that, but Ganon/Ganondorf hasn't been in a main Zelda game (disbaring remakes) since Twilight Princess. There is Yuga-Ganon in ALBW, if you count that, and Hyrule Warriors has him, but that is a spinoff rather then a main game.

Wondering if he is going to return in the new The Legend of Zelda.

Majora's Mask is one of the best 3D Zeldas, I'd say.

I think both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are better than any later Zelda game. This means get Majora's Mask 3D!

For some reason, I liked this game, but also hated it. I guess the hate came from the frustration of having to play the song after 3-days to reset the days...many times I forgot the buttons to press and lost everything. I remember having to write down ocarina song-buttons for this and ocarina of time, just so I could remember them. I still wish they would re-release the collection of Zelda games again for both systems. Anyone else remember when you pre-ordered some of nintendos games, or renewed nintendo power that you got things for free...like the Ocarina Of Time Masters Quest, Zelda The Collection, or players guides??? I still have the original Super Mario Bros 3 Player's guide!!!

Definitely going to get this on 13th February... I never played the original as I was only one then! Only thing I'm worried about is, running out of time and losing all your save data since the last cycle. That must be annoying...

Don't worry about that! There's a special game mechanic that stops you from doing that.. I won't say what it is cause I wouldn't wanna spoil the surprise but when you get to it you'll just be like oh my god this game is amazing!!

Also Goht.. if they've changed that boss battle I will be so upset!! Greatest boss battle of any Zelda ever.

Hopefully they add a option where you can play a "classic" version and it's just the game unchanged from the original. Also a bit of an annoyance for me and this is from OOT 3D too why can't we play the ocarina with the D-Pad substituting the c buttons?? all this L,R,A,B,X,Y crap confuses me

I can play all the ocarina songs off by heart with c buttons and b but can't remember any of them in this new way

Its kool and all they are remaking some old Zelda games for 3DS, but i wish it was cross platform instead of one or the other. I prefer zelda games on console if they were originally made for console.

I am really eager to play this game again now that it is being remastered. Like other Zelda games, I am more than willing to replay them completion as many times as I would like, and this game has one of the best soundtracks and atmospheres of any Zelda game I have played. I'll probably be playing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate first though.

@DESS-M-8 No, ludites only stuck to one or the other (unless it was due to money/parents or something.). True gamers would appreciate the gems on both systems.

I'm liking the new design of the notebook, too! If you noticed, there'll now be a list of quests; organized in such a way that it draws your attention to the blank spaces. I loved the original version, but only because I had a guide telling me where and when to start particular missions. There's lots of stuff in this game that could be easily missed if one was not aware they were taking place, but this new notebook looks set to rectify that.

They really jucied up (?) the colors for this remake! Some of the texture work seems a little bit TOO busy now, but it's still a big step up, I suppose.

I wonder if they've changed the frankly horrifying 'mask transformation' sequence. Truly the stuff of nightmares...

@DESS-M-8 LOL Playstation has about 50 of the greatest RPGs on it of all-time, and in other genres like racing and stealth etc it was awesome with much innovation. N64 had about 5 good games total. N64 had a couple nice games but was a horrible console overall.

No and no. There were more than 5 industry changing games on N64 nevermind good games. If your bag was rpg's then yeah the playstation was a better choice software wise, but the playstation was an awful console. Slow, cheap and wasn't it on like version 9 before even the PsOne came out????
But if you actually preferred rpg's in the 90's you would've been playing PC over anything else anyway?

@NoNameAtAll I had both, I'm not saying there weren't decent games on the playstation. The original metal gear solid is in my personal top ten of all time.
I'm saying the N64 was an absolute treasure trove on industry changing exclusive software and a far greater console. The extent and volume of the library has nothing to do with it. Cause for every good game on playstation there were twenty utterly appalling piles of trash

Looks like they changed the Goht battle...and people hoped that it would stay intact. I loved the Goht battle. If this is for the better has yet to be seen.
