One 3D action-platfomer that's well worth a look on the Switch is Blue Fire - we said it was a "superb" title that put gameplay first, and was inspired some of the greats.
If you still haven't played it, now might be the time - with the publisher Graffiti Games and developer Robi Studios announcing the release of the Void of Sorrows DLC update. It's an entirely "free update" and is available now on the Switch.
"The Void of Sorrows DLC features two new areas with a new boss and 16 Voids, which are levels filled with abstract platforming challenges that require great mastery to complete."
This game is also on sale on the Switch eShop for £10.79/$11.99. Will you be checking out this free content? Tell us below.

Great. I made it about 50% past this game, but I liked what I played. Far from a perfect platformer, but I liked the challenge.
I'm glad I got the physical game but wish the dlc was apart of it but can't complain about free dlc lol.
Just picked this up now, will give it a proper go tonight. Love 3D platformers so this should be right up my street!
Cool! Still haven't played this yet.
That's one hell of a price. I can't afford this though. I'm not gonna buy it. I'm not gonna buy it. I'm not gonna -
I tried to play it, but got bored quickly. It was pretty dull.
@Liam_Doolan When is the DLC coming to PS4? 🤔
Love the game, very punishing, old school 3D platformer. Never completed all the voids as they were mental.
Will definitely go back to it at some point.
Shame the physical didn’t have this on the cart, but what you gonna do
That oriella buzz saw void has just ruined my day was loving it up to that xx
I usually have a hard time returning to games to check out these updates, once I beat a game I'm usually done with it, but I might have to make an exception in this case. I really liked this game a lot and the void challenges were my favourite part of the game. I'm glad to see the devs are still supporting it
So many souls-likes getting updated with DLC, expansions, etc. Death's Gambit: Afterlife, Blue Fire, Blasphemous is getting some new DLC later this year. TOO MANY GAMES!!!
I think I will return to play this DLC, when I get a chance.
@TowaHerschel7 According to the PR:
"The free update will also come to PlayStation and Stadia soon."
Took the plunge and got this last night. It really is like Dark Souls, Hollow Knight and Zelda made a baby.
I will be glad to see how the difficulty ramps up because most 3D platformers aren’t hard at all really.
Edit: after a day of playing this. I conclude that this game is sick and just the platforming challenge I’ve been looking for.
