Re: Random: Nintendo Teams Up With Baskin Robbins To Make Inkable Splatoon Ice Cream

Sonos

@Bunkerneath You think you want this but you don't. I took my kids to the Nintendo x Cold Stone Kirby promo. They wiuldnt give us the Kirby cup because we didnt order a large (my kid is 5 I'm not cracking them out with 4lbs of sugar). The flavor was a regular flavor with a stupid Kirby themes name. This is the same dumb ****.

Dont feel like you are missing out if it is marketing for dumdums like me. You aren't.

Re: Hands On: Splatoon 3 Brings New Ideas, But Nothing Revolutionary

Sonos

@BadTango I thought the game was a masterpiece. Which really was my original point. This article is giving a 'ho-hum this sucks' vibe where other non revoltutionary game was orgasmic in its hands on articles.

NL is susceptible to the angry Splatoon folks infecting the thread - becoming the same thing.

Unhappy? don't buy it folks.

Re: Dev Delays 'A Space For The Unbound' After Feeling 'Exploited' By Publisher

@Eeros I cant speak for anyone but me - for me making the claim that you withheld money, or stole money or are using someone's ethnic background for a paycheck is a very bold one. One that at least deserves a follow up question. The source here is Twitter for god's sake. Not reliable in any scenario. The entire thing reads like a high school rant to slutshame the cheerleader who stole your boyfriend.

Re: Disgaea 7 Officially Announced For Switch, And Things Are Getting Bigger

Sonos

@Pillowpants I see JRPGs as a chosen group lining up against a monster and wailing away. Nippon Ichi really just makes SRPGs - making a team then fighting baddies on a grid.

Two different beats imho. Disgaea has goofy and fun stories, awesome characters, over-the-top special moves and infinite powering up. I'm into. You may be.

I'm about 110 hours in D5 - Which I might have paid 10 bucks for on the eshop. That comes out to about .003 pesos per minute. Good deal.

Re: Oops, Sega Accidentally Shared A New Advert And Release Date For Sonic Frontiers

Sonos

Only the gaming industry accidentally releases early info - on a near constant basis. Like...who is naive enough to not see through this marketing? Only one consumer group is child-like enough to not understand this decade old marketing ploy.

I wonder if developers have it written down on the snack room calendar. "accidental release date release - call news outlets"

Re: Beacon Pines Combines Woodland Critters And Twin Peaks On Switch This September

Sonos

A small town with an unfolding mystery sounds like anything. That sounds very little like Twin Peaks so far - and Twin Peaks is not a Netflix show.

TP has more nuance and miles
more depth than a small town mystery. You'll have to do much better to use the comparison. Or I will publicly mock you with more knowledge about that particular program than any person has a right to know.

@Vix In the US anti-trust regulation has been virtually non-existent for 3 decades minimum. And they have no idea what to do with gaming. Most of the old men in regulatory suits still think of it as a kid's pasttime - not the insidious data collection agent it actually is.

Same with the below-average dolts who give everything to these agent. Gamers and the general populace are bottom of the barrel when it comes to figuring anything out.

Re: Nintendo To Reduce Switch Packaging By 20% To Combat Supply Issues

Sonos

@Silly_G Japan used to be legendary for their ability and obsession with packaging. There used to be numerous business articles on it decades ago. I'd argue all of Apple's packaging was influenced by Japanese packing 15-20 years ago. In Europe/US good looking packaging is common today; but this was not the case 2 decades ago.

It was an era of more is more...like unwrapping a present. Where the unwrapping was just as enjoyable as the present itself. Much less of a concern today; if not detrimental. A shift so to speak.
