I really wish Rare could develop for Nintendo again. I'm not sure how many here have played it - but Sea of Thieves is as objectively good as anything they have ever done. They are MSs best acquisition imho.
@Bunkerneath You think you want this but you don't. I took my kids to the Nintendo x Cold Stone Kirby promo. They wiuldnt give us the Kirby cup because we didnt order a large (my kid is 5 I'm not cracking them out with 4lbs of sugar). The flavor was a regular flavor with a stupid Kirby themes name. This is the same dumb ****.
Dont feel like you are missing out if it is marketing for dumdums like me. You aren't.
Gamescon really has been a non-event. I feel bad for developers that spent any money promoting their products. Money better spent hiring a streamer or something to act like they enjoy your game.
@BadTango I thought the game was a masterpiece. Which really was my original point. This article is giving a 'ho-hum this sucks' vibe where other non revoltutionary game was orgasmic in its hands on articles.
NL is susceptible to the angry Splatoon folks infecting the thread - becoming the same thing.
@Eeros I cant speak for anyone but me - for me making the claim that you withheld money, or stole money or are using someone's ethnic background for a paycheck is a very bold one. One that at least deserves a follow up question. The source here is Twitter for god's sake. Not reliable in any scenario. The entire thing reads like a high school rant to slutshame the cheerleader who stole your boyfriend.
@Jamessmooth One of the most amazing things about SDV being soli developed is how top quality Ape is as a game composer. I think he is as good or better than anyone in gaming i. regards to game music.
@FantasiaWHT according to the article it was from one of the console brands not a govt program. So like MS or Sony. Smart really. They can market themselves as diverse while doing nothing. Even social engineering is being farmed out to 3rd parties.
Is everyone thinking Koroks were any kind or original idea? They are Ghibli Kodamas - which have been copied in various forms dozens of times. Nintendo owes half their catalog to Miyazaki.
@Pillowpants I see JRPGs as a chosen group lining up against a monster and wailing away. Nippon Ichi really just makes SRPGs - making a team then fighting baddies on a grid.
Two different beats imho. Disgaea has goofy and fun stories, awesome characters, over-the-top special moves and infinite powering up. I'm into. You may be.
I'm about 110 hours in D5 - Which I might have paid 10 bucks for on the eshop. That comes out to about .003 pesos per minute. Good deal.
@Pillowpants If time is a problem usually Disgaea isnt for you. The main point of the game is infinite grinding. That said, I'm a big fan although I skipped 6.
Only the gaming industry accidentally releases early info - on a near constant basis. Like...who is naive enough to not see through this marketing? Only one consumer group is child-like enough to not understand this decade old marketing ploy.
I wonder if developers have it written down on the snack room calendar. "accidental release date release - call news outlets"
A small town with an unfolding mystery sounds like anything. That sounds very little like Twin Peaks so far - and Twin Peaks is not a Netflix show.
TP has more nuance and miles more depth than a small town mystery. You'll have to do much better to use the comparison. Or I will publicly mock you with more knowledge about that particular program than any person has a right to know.
Let me put this in the game review reverse algorithm. Divide by 6, carry the 2 put it in the recycling machine and viola - the game is average. If it was a school grade between 60 and 70%.
@Mioaionios I've been very poor before. It isn't comfortable. I don't knock anyone for wanting a more comfortable life. Living and dying, earless and broke like Picasso.
@Vix In the US anti-trust regulation has been virtually non-existent for 3 decades minimum. And they have no idea what to do with gaming. Most of the old men in regulatory suits still think of it as a kid's pasttime - not the insidious data collection agent it actually is.
Same with the below-average dolts who give everything to these agent. Gamers and the general populace are bottom of the barrel when it comes to figuring anything out.
@Silly_G Japan used to be legendary for their ability and obsession with packaging. There used to be numerous business articles on it decades ago. I'd argue all of Apple's packaging was influenced by Japanese packing 15-20 years ago. In Europe/US good looking packaging is common today; but this was not the case 2 decades ago.
It was an era of more is more...like unwrapping a present. Where the unwrapping was just as enjoyable as the present itself. Much less of a concern today; if not detrimental. A shift so to speak.

Re: Rumour: Amazon Is Reportedly Preparing To Buy Electronic Arts
This one I support. Both are awful companies - they deserve one another.
Re: Review: I Was A Teenage Exocolonist - Beautiful, Generous, And Too Nice For Its Own Good
@Indielink people think they want that - but they fall to their knees in worship of everything that isn't.

This is the society you all want.
Re: Mattel Announces A Big, Buildable Pikachu, And It Has Moveable Legs
I've bought some non-Lego Legoes before and the quality isn't close. They dont fit together well and the directions are generally trash.
Re: Random: Nintendo Teams Up With Baskin Robbins To Make Inkable Splatoon Ice Cream
@BabyYoda71 i go there every few years to buy ice cream cakes for kid birthday parties. they are strong.

Unhappy? don't buy it folks.
Re: Never Played Splatoon? Nintendo's Splatoon 3 Beginner's Guide Will Help
@EliSweetG I'd say all the big games get this treatment. If it's a game you are into it is fun - the hype building.
If it is not it can be cumbersome. That is how Xenoblades was for me. But for this and Sunbreak I was into it. shrug
Re: Hands On: Splatoon 3 Brings New Ideas, But Nothing Revolutionary
@BadTango The term was revolutionary. No, it didn't. It added a hat. Same deal here.

Re: Hands On: Splatoon 3 Brings New Ideas, But Nothing Revolutionary
Mario Odyssey did not do anything revolutionary but they did everything in the game very well. And everyone fell over themselves to worship it.
Blogs are funny about multiplayer games.

I'd buy that game for free. This stuff is the type of project that should help you graduate from college. Even then I'd give the kid a B -.

I got a ridiculous Samsung OLED tv - so games on the switch that showcase that. Kart 8, Mh Sunbreak...so far they look fantastic.
Re: Sonic Frontiers Could Be Getting DLC According To Taiwanese Promo Material
That is an insta-nope for me. Taking out in game unlocks to sell months before the game even releases? Never.
Sega sure as heck doesn't warrant that leeway. They are one of the worst developers currently still coding. No talent hacks.

Re: So, What Does Embracer Group Actually Own The Rights To?
That is the picture of bloat. They own so much nothing gets made and when it does - it barely surpasses shovelware.
I sincerely hope gaming goes into a steep decline in the very near future. We'd all be better for it.
