That's sort of like asking if it's a good idea to play video games. Just depends on taste and what you like in a game. Though, I know a lot of people that loved DQ11 and hated the earlier games because they actually challenge the player...
Anything from N64 and below, which is when I believe Nintendo started to hit their peak and then slowly decline to where they are now. The NDF will say otherwise, but I believe this to be true.
@Cross_eyed_oni Why are you taking my opinion of a company, personally? I didn't message you, so stop being so toxic with the juvenile insults. Maybe if Inti Creates actually makes something original, instead of re-hashing old ideas...
@Paraka I get what you mean. However, much of Capcom's and Konami's libraries are readily available legally, right now. They don't need to be constantly pumping out new things when they have decades of material up for purchase.
@HalBailman I’m 41 and look at a computer screen for gaming, are old people not allowed to use gaming monitors or something? What a strange way to disparage someone for their age.
@jaybird0922 I grew up with Nintendo and I'm no longer loyal to them. They're not doing anything good with the money we give them (just suing everyone in existence + poor business practices with their workers) so they don't get anymore cash from me. They're on their way down Blizzard/Activision's path.
I would say that the only games that innovated are 4, 5, and 6. The first 3 games, while ambitious, felt like retreading the same thing when compared to each other. They really started innovating at the later games, then basically nose-dived around 7, 8, or 9, depending on who you talk to.
6 games, each varying from 20-60 hours each, and people are moaning about the price? The entitlement is strong, today.
I’m glad video game companies are finally raising the cost to meet inflation. Games seem to have capped at $60 for the past 30 years. I think for the amount of content you receive, it’s more than fair.
All these people playing dozens of games on a $300 system, yet acting poor smh.
@Shambo Very insightful post, deep thoughts. It feels like you are sharing your heart, and I respect that. It's interesting that you say you are "sort of a creator," when I would simply say that you are a creator. I agree that it takes another person's appreciation to help feel a connection to the depth that the various artforms we participate in can help us feel. You nailed it when you said that it needs to touch your soul, or in my case, make me feel something meaningful. I appreciate that you took the time to write all that, since most of the conversations on this site resort to pointless arguments and trolls trying to rile people up.
I'm a different kind of artist (martial artist) so I understand where you are coming from. I'm also a long-time musician, but I'm in a position where I don't perform, so I just play for myself. It works, even though I miss performing. One day, I will return. But, thank you for the meaningful post.
This is why I love this site, even though I sold off my garbage Switch: I had missed the announcement that these were released on Steam last year, and they never came up in my recommendations. So just gave FFVI a go and wow, color me impressed!
@tabris95 Send it to Fromsoft, if you truly believe that. Talking to me isn't going to improve the game lul I'm just calling out your ignorance with the lazy comment. Got nothing to do with blindly following or not. Anybody that calls a serious dev studio lazy is a lazy commenter that doesn't know how to look at something objectively.

Defund Nintendo.
Re: Rumour: Switch Pro Was Real But Got Cancelled, Claims Digital Foundry
@Mambitos DF is extremely popular, they don’t need to “bump their views.” They are reporting on tips they got from unnamed developers.
Shining more attention on this is good. Nintendo needs pressure to innovate.

Re: Nintendo Has Been Patching A "Severe" Vulnerability Found In Some Online Switch, 3DS, And Wii U Games
@Munchlax You edited it so it’s moot now. Glad I could help you come to terms with it!
Re: Nintendo Has Been Patching A "Severe" Vulnerability Found In Some Online Switch, 3DS, And Wii U Games
@coconut-gun My bad. The OP I was replying to edited his initial reply so that he doesn’t sound like he didn’t read the article anymore.
Re: Nintendo Has Been Patching A "Severe" Vulnerability Found In Some Online Switch, 3DS, And Wii U Games
@Munchlax It was reported TO Nintendo lmfao, that’s the key point you’re missing 😂

@bonjong23 I always look for these replies on articles like this and I'm never disappointed to find this meme. The NDF always makes me proud <3

@BabyYoda71 The NDF would have you think otherwise, since they don't care.

@Munchlax From the article - The vulnerability was reported to Nintendo in "2021/2022" by @Pablomf6

Re: Inti Creates Brings Classic Castlevania-Inspired 'Grim Guardians' To Switch Next February
@Serpenterror No.
@Paraka You think this game is new? Retreading the same ground over and over isn't something new, even if it's just a different title.
Re: Inti Creates Brings Classic Castlevania-Inspired 'Grim Guardians' To Switch Next February
@Paraka It's ridiculous to find oneself in a situation where one craves a constant new stimulus.

Re: Inti Creates Brings Classic Castlevania-Inspired 'Grim Guardians' To Switch Next February
I can think of at least one game you should play instead of this trash, if my icon is anything of a hint...
Inti Creates has the most formulaic and rudimentary levels of game design in the business. I'm surprised people still buy their recycled nonsense.
Re: Talking Point: What's The Deal With The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Switch Release?
@Optimist80 Is Memorial a modding tool? Heh, only thing I would do is mod it to contain less grinding.

@Contes Disable the screen bezels to fix performance. Pretty sure that got patched, too but I could be wrong.
Re: Every Mega Man Game Ranked
Good to see the compilations added. Their value is unprecedented, especially the X games that add the double fights. Fun stuff!

@LastFootnote Yeah, me too. Maybe it was easier for them to just port the SNES ones.
