@JaxonH Wait a minute. So if someone isn’t interested in something because it doesn’t match their tastes, they’re irrationally short sighted? Nintendo fans, I swear.
Some of it is so pretty and colorful, and most of what was shown was so brown and washed out. Also, the hype for this game is reminiscent of a cult mindset, so no wonder people will buy it, unquestionably. I feel like I’m the only one here that will wait for reviews, watch gameplay first, etc.
@Olmectron Metroid Prime wasn't built from the ground up, so it needs to credit the people that worked on it. If there are people who created music, art assets, or code, they need to be credited. If you are against that, then I sincerely think that you are against people, in general.
Trolls don't really deserve more energy than emojis or a firm "no." So pick your side, are you trolling or what? lol
I still can't believe that people are paying monthly for this experience. It's almost like the only way to enjoy the site anymore is to just read articles and not comment, otherwise all the trolls just lurk in the comments sections.
@Tempestryke Hahaha, no, not at all. It's a feeling we get when we train Chi Kung (Qi Gong.) When you become very in tune with your body's energy, you feel things like that. It's actually very wonderful.
@Adol-Bannings I just said I do the same thing you do, administration in medical. Are you trolling or did you forget what you wrote?
If you are in a position where you work without acknowledgement, find a better employer, honestly.
Have you ever seen a painting or a photo outside of a .jpg on the net? The artist signs their work, either on the front (for paintings) or the back (for photographs.) ¯ _ (ツ) _ / ¯
@Adol-Bannings I’ve worked in administrative settings in medical for over 8 years, and I have been directly thanked by patients and families for services rendered. Some in person, some over phone/email.
“It’s your job, shut up and do it,” has to be the most negative mindset I have ever heard regarding work. I would replace it with, “Do your job in service of others.”
@HammerGalladeBro I think if you read “How to Win Friends and Influence People” (Dale Carnegie) then you will understand just how important a person’s name is.
To simply say “based on,” is an erasure of identity. But to use a person’s name? It’s a very powerful acknowledgement. Not to mention all the portfolio building stuff I mentioned in earlier posts.
@arabiansanchez Movie reboots are generally written from scratch. So, new script, new actors/ actresses, possibly new director, new set, etc.
In the case of Metroid Prime, everything about the old game was used to build upon what is now the current remaster. Since the game was not built from scratch, original creatives need to be credited.
@Bodatajson @GoldenSunRM Depends on the employer. Some may want to see hard proof that your name was credited in a work. When building a portfolio for a creative position, every bit helps. May not make sense to you, but it makes sense to employers and prospective creatives.
It’s important to remember that this is an industry that has been set in motion since before many of us were even born. It’s methods and practices has been laid out and evolved over time. You can argue with me, but it’s not my point. Building a creative portfolio for career advancement has been a well established practice for ages.
Sharing you MOST RECENT WORK as well as past work shows that you are CURRENTLY ACTIVE in the industry. Some employers prefer that because it also shows that you are a reliable candidate. Anybody that has ever applied for a job knows this.
@quinnyboy58 People use the credits to get further job opportunities. Being included in the credits of a big release can make or break people's careers. 99% of gamers don't care because they are jaded to the fact that other real, living people make the games they love. That's a gamer problem, not an industry one.
@Wheatly So many replies for not being bothered! lol There's no assumption. Your comments are laced with bias.
"One day, someone will release a game from the Warhammer universe where the reviews are stellar and everyone sits up and takes note that it is actually possible to use this IP to make great games."
You laid a premise for something based on your own opinion, while at the same time blatantly ignoring the experiences of others. All the people that enjoyed the game "took note" lmfao. If you don't like the game it doesn't suddenly mean it's not noteworthy to the general public. At the very least, acknowledge that you're just stating personal opinion lmfao.
It's highly strange that you are looking for universal acclaim for a Warhammer game where there will never be any. There is no game or franchise in existence that possesses that quality, and expecting it from a niche genre is silly. Like all things: Some people will like it, some people won't. Again, silly hill to die on, but I'm enjoying the popcorn.
@ComfyAko People say a lot of things on the net lol.
No, I don't believe you can see past your negative bias. You're saying a lot of things that simple sales numbers and various player preferences are disproved by.
@Wheatly This is your 5th reply on a topic you "aren't bothered" with. There's no defense force, just people sharing their experiences about the franchise you are biased against.
Pro-tip: All the people who aren't bothered with this topic aren't posting replies, fyi.
@Wheatly Dawn of War is goated. Space Marine was fantastic, and I'm hyped for the sequel. There are other games that are regarded well, too, which others have replied to you. This hill you're trying to die on is funny, though.
@ComfyAko Essentially, because you are biased against CoD, you think it’s insignificant. That’s weird, because the reality of the situation is actually very different from what you are saying.
@HeadPirate If you say someone is juvenile and underdeveloped, that’s directly insulting. The fact you think it’s not says a lot about you as a person though!
You work on ports, supposedly? Doubtful, but still. Go use that language with one lf your superiors, let me know how it goes for you.
@ComfyAko 425 million in lifetime sales for the series tells me that you're wrong, and I'm ok with that! I've never played a CoD game, and even I can appreciate their popularity and what they do for the industry. They have consistently strong day-1 sales performance and hold a strong online community for a reason, and there's no point in ignoring those facts!
@Serpenterror It has nothing to do with which one was played first lmfao. The GBA's sound quality is just overall really bad across many of it's games, not just FF6. The sound device it uses is literal crap.
@MrGabby88 Only, there are performance videos that disprove your statement. It doesn't possess the same fidelity as say, PC, but it's more than serviceable on Switch and runs fine.
@ComfyAko I think you’re failing to see how popular and influential these games are on the industry, personally. You’re pulling the equivalent of saying Mario or Final Fantasy is mediocre.
@OctoKing Since we don’t know what you personally like, I would ask this: do you prefer very basic gameplay and narrative, or something with more variety? 1-3 are quite basic, while 4-6 start to make jumps in improving gameplay and narrative.
Do you dislike grinding? Avoid 2 and 5, in that case.
@Bass_X0 And it was probably different people making those statements. It would be best that we stop pretending like the internet is a hive-mind, because we know you aren’t keeping track of specific individual commenters to see if their opinions are changing.

This is the sort of game that people will like no matter what, without any critical analysis. Look at Pokemon.

No, the trailer will be poor, as usual

@TheBigK Fairly misleading comment, honestly. The 80’s had tons of games with end credits.

@quinnyboy58 Credits aren’t for gamers. They are for portfolio building, and are just another way for creatives to establish their careers.

@Asaki If you’re going to compare, you should do it both ways. FF7 Remake is a nearly 100GB install on PC, so yes, they are mini by comparison.
