@Snackbox Agreed. We got the same vaersiin here in NZ as you guys did in Aussie, it’s the best as no, it doesnt have all the age related text or adapter text. It does have a small red oval stating the lack of adapter but thats all. By far the best boxart!

Re: The Legend Of Zelda Movie Is Now "In Production" In New Zealand

Slinkeepie

Nice! Being a proud kiwi, it’s cool to know another movie is being produced here. It’s a 50 min flight plus a half hour drive from where I live to the filming location so I might head up and check it out. It’s the perfect location for the world of hyrule also! Up the wahs, gotta love New Zealand.

@OLD64FOREVER Nice game choices! I don’t have tropical freeze on Wii U but play it on Switch, I have been playing a bit of Yoshis Woolly World on mine though. I love most wanted, I play that on my Vita, I’m in recovery from a double organ transplant so I’ve been able to play a heap of my collected consoles and games. Have a good one mate!

Big Saturday night here in NZ with the All Blacks playing followed by the AU/NZ 15 vs the British and Irish Lions. So tomorrow i’ll chill (well warm, its cold here) with some Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on switch and some Gran Turismo 7 on ps5. Also some random stuff on GBA. Have a great weekend everyone!

G’day fellow gaming people, this weekend so far (long weekend here in NZ for Matariki which is the Maori new year) I’ve played quite the variety. Space Marine II and Gran Turismo 7 on PS5 and some MK8D and Sonic x Shadow on Switch. I have hooked up my Gamecube to my CRT to play some windwaker and need for speed underground 2 in lieu of a Switch 2 as I don’t have one yet (bills, life) so original hardware ftw! Also messing around on my GBA with some of my collection. Have a great weekend everyone!

Hello all, this weekend I’m still on the retro kick so for me I have been and will be playing my original PS1, Gran turismo, Tekken 3, and Kula World (personal fave). Gaming on original hardware is mint. As for present day offerings just a bit of Pokemon Scarlet and BOTW. Have a good one guys.

I’ve had a bit of a retro kick this weekend with some time spent on my Sega Mega Drive (NBA Jam, Sonic 2) and some PS2 (Gran Turismo 4, Kingdom Hearts 2). As for present day gaming, I’m rocking Sonic vs Shadow Generations, Pokemon Scarlet and Streets of Rage 4 on Switch and Gran Turismo 7 on PS5. Happy autumn to my fellow southern hemispherians!

More Pokemon Scarlet and trying out River City Girls and this weekend I’m board gaming. Original Hero Quest with my son and brother. My brother and I had it as kids in the early 90’s and have always enjoyed it. Its 27 celsius here (81 fahrenheit) so will be in the garden and outside during the day. Happy gaming and weekend everyone!

Re: Random: Pokémon Trading Cards Will No Longer Feature Iconic Yellow Border

Slinkeepie

@Duffman92 Haha I bet! It was actually my son who said “Do you realise that you have a charizard card thats worth a bit of money?” I was completely oblivious, just thought it was cool compared to other charizards. My son is an avid player and some of his cards are in a well used state which pleases me because he actually uses them. As for the borders, I’m not swayed either way, yellow is nostalgic and silver shows change and looks nice. So meh, cool.

Re: Pokémon Fans Vent Frustrations Online About Scarlet & Violet's Technical Issues

Slinkeepie

@Savage_Joe Agree with gen 3 being the most stable. I’ve played every gen and when gen 3 was released the “too much water” crowd had their say but that was probably the biggest niggle about those games. This day and age, pokemon games should surely be a crisp, bug-free polished production due to GF having eons to improve pokemon games as they go. But sadly no. I am enjoying Scarlet, but geez, the framerate (which usually I din’t care about), freezes and chopping is definitely affecting my immersion this gen.

@AmplifyMJ Best wishes to you and your daughter, it does get easier with time, knowledge and routine. I was diagnosed with type 1 aged 12 (29 years ago now) and it was very rough. It all happened quite quickly, from regular kid to very ill and thankfully my parents got me checked and I was sorted. Awareness of the symptoms saves lives. Cheers and happy gaming to you and your whanau (family).

Re: Poll: What Was The First Pokémon Game You Played? Nintendo Wants To Know

Slinkeepie

Red version on my then brand new gameboy pocket. It’s black and still going strong. I’ve played every gen since, played one version of each gen up until X/Y and since then I get both versions. I have also got all the other previous versions I didn’t get now so I have a hard copy of every mainline game. Yes I’m one of those suckers haha but does wonders for my OCD/completionist sitch I have.

Re: Switch Is Most Popular With 22-Year-Olds, Nintendo Says

Slinkeepie

41 here and been gaming on all platforms since about 6-7 years old when i played my dad’s 2600. Back then, (mid-late 80’s) here in New Zealand, it was a rare and amazing thing to have access to. My parents gave us the sega consoles as we grew up but I always enjoyed Nintendo stuff and now I have all of the consoles from NES right through to switch, handhelds and consoles. A tragic and proud!

Re: Bellibolt The Electric Frog Is The Newest Addition To Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

Slinkeepie

I am still on the fence with this generation. I have all the games, complete, since red and blue. Each generation is better/worse than the one before in different ways but 9 is just….. I don’t know. Iono annoys/intrigues me and the design of the ‘mons are…. different but generally all good. I will still get and play this gen and as I have done previously, reserve my opinion until I have played it through. My now 12 year old son is truly hyped though!
