The one time I missed the Direct- it looked good...and yeah, we knew about the Castlevania Advance Collection...but ActRaiser was a nice surprise, Shadowrun Trilogy looks interesting, and adding N64 games to the NSO service is good.
I've enjoyed DQ so far. I'm on 7 right now on the DS. I started with the DQ 1 on the GBC, and I played the remakes on the Apple Store (2 to 6).
Maybe the combat will be like an active time battle like Chrono Trigger? That would add some strategy. It just feels like you can wipe out enemies easily with one powerful attack in regular combat. I agree the turn based combat would be good to keep- really couldn't imagine the series without it.
Yuji Horii for awhile has wanted changes to the combat, as far back as 9. 10, remember, which hopefully the offline version is coming to the Switch in 2022 was a MMORPG.
I like seeing Metroid Dread, Advance Wars Re-boot Camp, and the Game and Watch Legend of Zelda was interesting.
Otherwise- disappointed that a new Switch model was not announced, no Metroid Prime Trilogy announced, or any re-releases of Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Twlight Princess.
I (GBC)- Good short RPG.
II (Mobile)- Good, like having a party. Didn't see the crushing difficulty if you played the Nintendo version. Final Boss was tough.
III (Mobile)- I liked the class system but it's a bit dated. Final Boss was tough. I could not experience the T'nT Boards in Mobile unfortunately.
IV (Mobile)- I liked the chapter system but HATED the casino!
V (Mobile)- Great game, good writing.
VI (Mobile)- Good game except the story wanders too much. Class System is addictive.
Next I will be playing 7 on the 3DS, and hopefully 8 and 9 on Switch! If not, I will play those games on the 3DS (8)and DS (9). 11 I will probably play on the PC.
For someone that did have a Virtual Boy, a remake of the games would be great- Wario Land, Nester's Funky Bowling, Red Alarm would be great on the Nintendo Switch Online service OR in a collection.
For the Switch- I buy physical if I know a game file is very large.
Digital is great- it's how I have been able to experience Dragon Quest games on IOS (I have an Ipad), been able to download a lot of classic games to my 3DS, and already have a few collection classic games on my Switch Lite.
I just wish we had more retro collections- retro game prices are absurd right now.
One day with my physical cartridges, I want to create an emulation library.
Golden Sun Advance Wars Fire Emblem games from SNES/NES Mario vs Wario (only released in Japan) Earthbound Series Ice Hockey Wario Virtual Boy Game remake
I'm excited for Skyward Sword since I have never played it. I agree charging 60 dollars for it is a bit much.
Otherwise: meh.
Where's the Dragon Quest love? The Switch really needs 4 to 9. They are quality games. Glad I have Ipad to play 4, 5, 6, and 8, and a DS to play 7 and 9.
My dream to play Terranigma legally will have to wait- I'm noticing Square just is focusing on Mana and the SaGa series right now.
Agreed that Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross is overdue!
I'm a fan of retro graphics and I really don't have a problem of indies doing it. But I'm guy that grew up with Game Boy, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, etc, so it's a nostalgia piece for me.
I can see why Square Enix would hesitate to put these games on the service, they make more money with selling applications to Nintendo, Apple, Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, etc etc.
Nintendo should at least bundle Earthbound Beginnings, Earthbound, and Mother 3.
Oh, and I'd love to see games like Looney Tunes B-ball on the service, but again...copyright issues.
I've seen in the comments about having Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Quest in the Switch Online Service.
That isn't going to happen- Square does its business by offering apps of those games (like on Ipad/Iphone/Android), and some of the are starting to show up on the Switch store.
I agree I'd like to see Super Mario RPG and Earthbound added to the service, those titles are well overdue.
It would be nice to see Soul Blazer, Act Raiser, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma, and even 7th Saga. That would make me want to get the service.

Re: Another Classic Namco Title Joins Hamster's Arcade Archives This Week
Any chance they do a version of Nintendo Hockey? I know it's on the NSO service, but I'd rather not pay a monthly fee for the service.

Re: Actraiser Renaissance Hits Nintendo Switch Later Today
C'mon Square Enix...let's get Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma remastered too...get 7th Saga with different difficulty levels too!
Re: What Do You Want To See From The Dragon Quest Series In The Future? Square Enix Wants To Know
@BlackenedHalo Sorry to hear that.
I'd like to see all Dragon Quests in one place, however.
Re: What Do You Want To See From The Dragon Quest Series In The Future? Square Enix Wants To Know
They need to port Dragon Quest on the eshop and Steam like they are doing with Final Fantasy right now.
However, I don't necessary agree with a pixel remaster with all versions.
1 and 2- Pixel Remaster
3- Remake
4, 5, 6, 7- Remake
8 - HD
9- HD
Keep 10 and 11 the same
I'm almost done with 7, very excited to try out 8!

Re: Talking Point: Everyone Has A Bad Game They Love, So What's Yours?
7th Saga. I beat it with a Game Genie, and I honestly want to play it again.

Re: Dragon Quest Creator Teases Possible HD-2D Remakes Of The First Two Games
If both games were combined together, I'm fine with that.
Re: Dragon Quest XII: The Flames Of Fate Officially Announced
Sounds good! Just finished VI, moving on to VII (3DS) very shortly.
Just hoping that 8 and 9 will make it on the Switch.
Re: Poll: What's The Best Dragon Quest Game?
I have only experience on the following games...

Re: Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary Stream Will Reveal New Game Information
Release 4, 5, 6, 8 on the Switch please!!!! I've been playing them on my Ipad - before I got a Switch.
I am lucky to have a DS so I can play 7 and 9. 9 would be great on the Switch!
If I had to pick one to be released again, 8!!!

Re: Square Enix Switch Sale Discounts Lots Of Final Fantasy Games, Balan Wonderworld And More (North America)
Saga Collection on sale yet? C'mon...
Re: Talking Point: Wii Features We'd Love To See On Nintendo Switch
If you do like the Wii shop music, I think there's an extension on Amazon that you can listen to it while you shop on Amazon.
Between the Wii and Wii U, that was the best of times for downloadable content.
Re: FEZ Will Bring A Cool Hat And Gameplay To Switch Today
I saw this game on Indie Game: The Movie, so yeah, I'm interested.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo 3DS Features That Should Really Be On Switch
Themes would be great...I love having holiday themes for my 3DS.
Re: 'Square Enix Presents' Promises News On New Life Is Strange, Tomb Raider, And Balan Wonderworld
I assume they will do something for Dragon Quest 35, More SaGa/Mana remakes for the Switch. Final Fantasy 7 Remake? Ha.
They should re-release Super Mario RPG this year- 25 years old!
Re: Soapbox: I'm Tired Of Ports And Remakes - Where Are All Nintendo's New Ideas?
I love the remakes personally, but I see your point. Nintendo better be careful or it (bit of a stretch here) might be a third party developer.
Re: Sega Wants To Know How It Can 'Enhance Your Gaming Experiences'
I'd like to see all Shining Forces in a collection. And, yeah, continue with Phantasy Star (Turn Based).
If you have not played Phantasy Star IV, one of the best RPGs I have ever played.
Re: Feature: The 10 Best SNES RPGs
Final Fantasy 6?
Re: Video: Ten 3DS Exclusives That Could Be Better On Nintendo Switch
Bravely Default and Bravely Second, maybe Radiant Historia?
Re: "Several" Square Enix Remakes Are In Development At Polish Studio Forever Entertainment
I would say Dragon Quest...I'd love to see 9 remake.
Terranigma?
Soul Blazer?
Act Raiser?
Illusion of Gaia?
7th Saga?
Bahamut Dragoon?
Live to Live?
Re: Nintendo Isn't Backing Down On Its Decision To Pull Mario Products From Stores This Month
Glad I got a physical copy of Mario 3D All Stars.
Re: Feature: After Fire Emblem And Famicom Detective Club, What Comes Next From Nintendo's Vault?
Golden Sun
Advance Wars
Fire Emblem games from SNES/NES
Mario vs Wario (only released in Japan)
Earthbound Series
Ice Hockey
Wario Virtual Boy Game remake
Re: Hamster Confirms Two More Coin-Op Classics For Its Arcade Archives Range On Switch
Could they please make Nintendo's Ice Hockey or Blades of Glory? That would be great.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The February 2021 Nintendo Direct, Then?
Meh Direct. I would have loved if Metroid Trilogy was going to be become a Switch version.

Its never going to happen but I would love to see:
Act Raiser
Soul Blazer
Illusion of Gaia
Terranigma
Earthbound
Earthbound Beginnings

Get Dragon Quest games 7,8,9 added to the Switch
Wild cards: Terranigma gets a remake/Earthbound is bundled with Beginnings and Mother 3
Game Boy Advance games go on Online Service
Re: Trials Of Mana Has Surpassed One Million Sales Worldwide
Haven't it tried it yet on the collection. Heard it's fantastic.
Square Enix, I believe, has rights to these games:
7th Saga
Soul Blazer
Illusion of Gaia
Terranigma
Act Raiser
Secret of Evermore
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
I'd love to see these games on the Switch!
