Only just recently Nintendo said the game is progressing smoothly. They always lied. They just wants to delay it as a launch title for Switch 2 in March next year.
The Switch emulator Yuzu already supports AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution technology since last year. It's built into the emulator so every Switch games can be scaled up to 4K.
Why can't Nintendo do the same? Put AMD FSR tech into the firmware so every games can utilised it?
BotW 2 has connection with A Link between Worlds. I think it has that same mechanic: ability to travel between Hyrule and Lorule. It's like the 'upside-down' in Stranger Things.
They basically created an open world Lorule and reused the same Hyrule in the first game. The Towers will served as a portal between these 2 worlds.
The same concept as adding Majora's Mask to complement Ocarina of Time.
Good for him, he didn't turned to piracy. He will enjoy the console and game more than anyone of you.
I remember as a kid I have to save up months of pocket money just to buy a new game. I treasured and enjoyed that game more than any games I have today.
When you pirate games, you have hundreds of them installed, you won't enjoy them as much as something you work hard for - strange how the universe justified every actions and consequences.
3D doesn't work well in films - it made the people looks like cardboard cutout. However, it works really well in games - it creates a Paper Mario effect and makes everything looks fun. Even with graphically bland 3DS games, adding 3D effect makes them look alive and real.
Something is missing from recent Nintendo games. They are well made, competent and polished but it lacks that wackiness and surprising element in old Nintendo games.
Let us tagged the games with keywords like 'demo', 'rpg', 'racing', etc and use a smart folder to auto group them like on the Mac. That's the modern way of grouping things.
The folders are not in the default view, you need to press a series of buttons to get to the groups, which is just stupid. Nintendo can't do things properly like Sony or MS. Things like Bluetooth, voice chat, etc are handled in a way to frustrate users.
All the games companies just don't get it: making a kart game won't replicate the MarioKart experience.
Nintendo's secret sauce is their game mechanics.
Nintendo games are all based on a pre-defined laws that controls the gameplay. In Mariokart, players in last place are given rockets and boosters to move them forward. Players in the middle are given blue shells, red shells, bomb, etc to attack the front. First place player is given banana peel or useless coins. These laws create a tight game that ensures more chaotic competition - that is what makes MarioKart fun.
No.4 Activision/Blizzard is now owned by Microsoft. They will not delayed games like Call of Duty or Battlefield. Why is Nintendo doing that? Advance Wars is just a cartoon turn based game. Do you think people will stop playing chess when there's a war going on?
Only old Switches can be modded to run custom firmware like SXOS or Atmosphere in order to use this homebrew app. Why is NL promoting this is beyond me.
Unlike Iwata, he is a business oriented CEO. You can tell from the way things are managed at Nintendo, it's mostly ports from Wii U to Switch - he is trying to recuperate from the losses that Wii U was causing.
Iwata was a game developer and a gamer, so quality comes first. He probably over did it - so many good games for the Wii U that didn't sell.
I have spoken to Gary Bowser a few times at that GBA site, he was known as Garyopa at the forum. I don't know if he knew that his own people are ripping him off. A lot of people are not paying for SXOS through their website, it was paid to his team members through their personal Paypal account. Some of their team members are generating serials for the CFW and selling them outside the company.
Citra and CEMU can emulate 3DS and Wii U to perfection with better performance and graphics. Yuzu is getting there with Switch. One day they will all be part of RetroArch.
It's always the underground movement that preserved history.
Nintendo's strategy now is to add everything it had to current games, filled it to the brim and overwhelms the players. After finishing the rosters for Smash Bros they are continuing with MarioKart.
XC 3 in Sept means there's no BotW 2 this year. A Zelda game at the end of the year or before it in Summer will killed the sales of this game - so Nintendo either release Zelda next year or in Spring this year. Since the Direct showed nothing, that means it's next year.

It's called greed. Billionaires who has enough money to live a hundred lifetime still wants more money in their bank account.
To quote Forrest Gump: "There's only so much fortune a man really needs… and the rest is just for showing off."

Re: Poll: C'mon Then, Did You Predict The Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Delay?
Of course Nintendo is delaying BotW 2, it needs to launch with Switch 2. I bet it's in March like the original Switch launch date of 3rd March 2017.
It's too big a game not to be a launch title.
