Re: Shin'en Multimedia Defends The Wii U Hardware

SammyOfMobius

Thank you, Shin'en. Just, thank you. You guys rock and have great opinions. You guys' words on the Wii U is better than some companies' words on the Wii U... (cough _EA _cough). Shin'en is right: power isn't what matters most... a strong library of great games is what matters. For example, the PS Vita is a neat system, but it just doesn't have enough games. And from what I've seen, Wii U has great games already and some even better ones on the way. I don't see one game for PS4 and Xbox One that I'm actually interested in. Wii U is on the right path, and probably in one year, Wii U will be considered a great system to own.

Re: SEGA Promises New Gameplay, Enemies and Potentially "Friends" in Sonic Lost World

SammyOfMobius

Ugh! Is there a "Stop Complaining" button for you nitpicky Sonic fans? Seriously, you guys act like Sega still makes garbage titles! You guys have to get exactly what you want, otherwise it's considered "trash". Sonic 4 was a good game but apparently: "No the physics aren't exactly like the classics." "I don't want the homing attack." " "Where's Classic Sonic." Now you guys are going to thrash Sega with complaints most likely about: "Where's Sonic Adventure 3?" "I don't want new characters." "Bring back the Unleashed style."

Honestly, can you Sonic fans have to always have it your way. Will guess what? Sega is NOT a bad company anymore. They've learned from their mistakes, geniuses. I'm excited to see a new gameplay style. When Sega created the classic gameplay style (in Sonic 1, used in later classic Sonic games), fans liked it. When Sega created the Adventure style, fans liked it. When Sega created the Unleashed (daytime) style, fans liked it. Do you really think Sega will mess up a new play style this time as Sega never introduced a bad play style for Sonic? (Key word: introduce. Sonic '06 had a bad play style, which was really a worsened Sonic Adventure-styled game.)

Also, what's wrong with new friends? I am actually always willing for the Sonic cast to expand. And how do we even know those "new characters" will be recurring? If so, then why not? Characters like Shadow, Blaze, and Silver (though having a debut in a broken game) proved to be great characters in general. How do we know these "new characters" will be redundant? Maybe these "new characters" will be great characters, considering Sega's rise of quality in their games?

You guys need to stop complaining, or Sega will leave you fans in the dust. In other words, they will retire the Sonic franchise because of unappeasable fans. STOP COMPLAINING IF YOU WANT SONIC TO LIVE. Just be happy with the news for what it is. Sega's learned how to make good games again, so leave them be. Rock on, Sega! This is awesome news and I'm happy to see you guys try and innovate! And seeing how recent Sonic games have been, I highly doubt you guys will screw this us, especially with Nintendo helping you guys on this game!

Re: Pac-Man And The Ghostly Adventures Chomping Its Way To Wii U And 3DS This Year

SammyOfMobius

@aaronsullivan Well I'm not going to lie, I agree with you. Pac-Man used to be my childhood hero during the Pac-Man World era, and then when I look at this game (Ghostly Adventures) and some other recent Pac-Man games (Pac-Man Party, Pac & Galaga Dimensions, etc.), it's like comparing a mouse to a frog. Pac-Man feels much more bland and generic than he used to be, and I missed the time era when Pac-Man really felt unique.

Re: Pac-Man And The Ghostly Adventures Chomping Its Way To Wii U And 3DS This Year

SammyOfMobius

While this doesn't look as good as my old buddy Pac-Man World 2, it still looks descent. The chomping mechanics look a bit off, but at least they're trying to make this game more like Pac-Man World 1 and 2. Still though... from what I've seen, I don't think this game will outdo Pac-Man World 2. Ghostly Adventures does look worth a go, but if this game is any better than World 2, then I'll be really surprised.

Re: Video: Rayman Legends Footage Gets Sneaky in its Ocean World

SammyOfMobius

Oh my gosh! This game is going to be a plaftorming masterpiece! The creativity... the vivid details... the brilliant level design... and the tight controls, cartoonish hand-drawn designs, and the wacky gameplay twists all make this game look like a game that'll truly define the Wii U! You rock, Rayman! Rayman Origins rocks, Rayman Legends rocks, and you rock! This game looks like it'll be the Wii U's best 2D platformer and I will definitely buy this! Keep it up, Ubisoft!

Re: New Adventure Time Game Coming to Wii U and 3DS This Fall

SammyOfMobius

I wasn't too impressed with the demo for Adventure Time: Hey Ice King so I didn't buy it. However, Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon sounds like a new direction with the Adventure Time games that I actually might be interested in. When I heard "a four-player cooperative game", I imagined a Mario/Rayman styled platformer set in the world of Adventure Time. I'll definitely give the demo a go and if I like it, I'll definitely buy Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon for a fun solo and cooperative plaftorming experience.

Re: Capcom Announces Two More Wii U Virtual Console Titles In May

SammyOfMobius

It sort of angers me to see that Wii U's Virtual Console library is building up faster than the 3DS's. I got mad when I saw the Wii U VC sizzle reel showing VC games that 3DS didn't get until a year or a year and a half after 3DS VC launched. When I saw Super Mario Bros. 2 in the sizzle reel, I got mad because the 3DS doesn't even have that game on the eShop yet. Only Japan does. Curse Nintendo for not bringing 3DS VC games to 3DS owners faster! Curse Nintendo! "Oh, but we'll run out of games." Nintendo, do you know how many games there are for NES, GB, and GBC? Also, where are my GBA games on 3DS VC? I'm getting really impatient here!

Re: eShop Leaks Possible Date For Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move

SammyOfMobius

Am I the only one who wants the classic Donkey Kong '94 and Mario Vs. Donkey Kong GBA gameplay to return? It had everything! It had platforming, puzzle solving, so basically a game that would appeal to Mario fans and puzzle fans alike. This... I can't say the same for this. It looks more like a generic puzzler with Mario characters in it, but I'll probably end up buying it and liking it. But imagine Donkey Kong '94/Mario Vs. Donkey Kong GBA gameplay in a 3D view, similar to what they did with the classic 2D Mario games in Super Mario 3D Land! Please tell me I'm not the only one who wants a game with Mario Vs. Donkey Kong GBA gameplay in a 3D platforming view?

Re: New 3DS Nintendo Direct to Broadcast on 17th April

SammyOfMobius

Another 3DS Direct. What about Wii U? The Wii U needs it more. That system has no games out right now and is not selling well and it needs more games. The 3DS is already a good standalone system and doesn't need this because we already know what's coming out for it.
Nonetheless, I'd like to hear announcements for release dates for Mario & Luigi Dream Team, Mario and Donkey Kong Minis on the Move, a new Zelda 3DS-exclusive and a Kirby 3DS-exclusive, as well as new 3DS e-Shop titles and new 3DS Virtual Console releases like Zelda Oracles, Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA), Super Mario Bros. 3, Wario Land 3, Kirby's Dream Land 2, and GBA titles.

Re: Review: The Croods: Prehistoric Party! (Wii U)

SammyOfMobius

From now on Nintendo Life, instead of buying these bad movie based games and playing them, just stamp every movie based game with a 3-4 out of 10 okay? These games are hopeless and don't even deserve to get reviewed. The developers of these types of games are lazy and stupid and need to just go and jump off of a cliff.

Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D Has Local Co-op Play And An Easy Mode

SammyOfMobius

I can't wait to see the new content. Perhaps that "surprise" will be shown at the upcoming 3DS event? It would be cool if that surprise was "Banana Rush". (Similar to NSMB2's Coin Rush, except with random DKCR stages, downloadable level packs, and of course, bananas.) I would also like it if you had the option to make Diddy Kong lead, and new levels in World 9.

Re: Nintendo Set To Host Mysterious 3DS Event In A Couple Of Weeks

SammyOfMobius

All titles for Super Mario main series games coming out this year and next year:
New Super Luigi U
New Super Mario Bros. 3: Nostalgia Strikes Back! Again! Again! Again! Again!
New Super Mario Bros. 4: Yeah, we're really running out of Ideas.
New Super Mario Bros. 5: We just fooled you into buying the same game again!
New Super Mario Bros. 6: Yep... you people must really hate us now.

Re: Fez Creator Believes Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is More Suited To Vita

SammyOfMobius

Is he hating on the Nintendo 3DS, the best handheld of all-time? Is he hating on the system that brought us masterpieces such as Super Mario 3D Land, Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D, Fire Emblem Awakening, Pushmo, Crashmo, and Mutant Mudds? I don't think he hates the 3DS... I think he just hates Nintendo. I just think he's a Sony fanboy and is trying to stay loyal to Sony by criticizing Nintendo of everything they get right. I think the dual screen does add to the experience and so does 3D, and is more innovative than those copiers known as Sony. Sure the Vita's stronger and has two joy sticks, but the 3DS reigns because it has the better library of games.

Re: Capcom Having "Ongoing Discussions About Mega Man"

SammyOfMobius

You shouldn't need a discussion to know you need to make another Mega Man game without cancelling it Capcom. You promised your fans games like Mega Man Legends 3, Mega Man Universe, and so on and never delivered, and gave your fans a careless 25th birthday for Mega Man by releasing another Mega Man fan's work and claiming it yours and porting a game I'm sure we've all played before to 3DS (Mega Man 1). C'mon Capcom. Mega Man is, or at least was once, your key franchise. Prove to us you care.

Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D Swings Into a Release on 24th May

SammyOfMobius

This game will have new content whether we like it or not. I'm sure they'll add Local Multiplayer or possibly even Online Multiplayer, which counts as new content, as well as new stereoscophic 3D feature and non-motion controls. And who knows, maybe it'll have exclusive levels or something. Also a Streetpass feature is expected considering pretty much every 3DS game has a Streetpass feature. I doubt it'll be a simple port, because Nintendo even mentioned they are building it from the ground up, which is what a remake is. The Game Boy Color remake of Donkey Kong Country even had levels that the SNES version didn't. So c'mon guys, have faith in Nintendo.
I'll definitely get this game on May 24th. Once a great game, always a great game. "The game never grows old... only you do."
