Wonderful week for America! Boulderdash is a definite purchase for me, as is Mighty Flip Champs whenever I get a DSi. I'm a little iffy about FFIV: TAY cuz of the pricing, but if it gets a great review I'll definitely get it.
I was wondering why I stopped getting levels and photos when I went on Brawl's online a few days ago. I don't care really though. It was cool seeing people's levels and insane videos, but you couldn't save any of them, and they were gone after a day...
Despite the shortage of games, this isn't too bad of a line-up. You guys finally get another Arcade game, and more Art Styles isn't a bad thing either. I feel sorry for the people who DLed the SMS Space Harrier though.
Wait, arcade SH is on the Sega Ultimate Genesis Collection, isn't it?
I'm looking forward to Space Bust-a-Move and Arkanoid. The only iteration of BAM I ever played/owned was BAM '99, so I could really use a newer edition. I still need to buy the first Space Invaders Extreme before I get excited about SIE2, though.
I don't know. I'm kinda interested in tracking this one down, but it still sounds too much like a cheap Pokemon ripoff, which is why I ignored it back in the day. Anything here to convince me otherwise?
Pretty good update overall, especially compared to what we've been getting. Though I would've preferred Swords & Soldiers, we still got 2 other games the Brits have been holding from us. Now if we can just get Cave Story next week, I'll be a happy Hippo Man.
@Corbie & Damo. FINALLY! Someone agrees that the GBA was a waste of money! Everyone on VC-Forums always goes on about how wonderful that thing is, and I haven't used it in ages. I'm looking to sell it. It doesn't have the MP3 support it was rumored to have, couldn't play GB(C) games, and the the screen was too puny (though it was really clear and bright). I can't believe I paid $120 for that thing. It sure is nice-looking though...
@Crobie. I agree with Damo. Your friend's got a screw loose. A used GBA is about $10 these days. I never care about getting a game system in mint condition; As long as it's in decent working condition, I'll buy it.
@Revolverlink. I'd say it plays better with a GC controller. But then again, so does every N64 game, to me at least. I could never get the hang of the Classic Controller with N64 games.
@Doug_Funnie. Your name brings me fond memories. I miss Doug.
Outside of Famicom Wars, Japan had a pretty lousy week this week. Looks like America and Europe aren't the only ones seeing a decline in download releases...

Re: Bplus Announces Bit Boy!!
This is a REALLY cool concept! Could this be the game that will finally redeem BPlus?
Re: Klonoa 3? Depends On Wiimake's Sales
Still, wouldn't this be 4?
Remakes aren't sequels, so no.
Re: Mega Man Meets Super Paper Mario
Like I said on the forum, this would be a dream come true!
Re: Nintendo To Stop Taking Brawl User Content
I was wondering why I stopped getting levels and photos when I went on Brawl's online a few days ago. I don't care really though. It was cool seeing people's levels and insane videos, but you couldn't save any of them, and they were gone after a day...
Re: Klonoa 3? Depends On Wiimake's Sales
The two GBA Klonoa games are not part of the main Klonoa series. They're only spinoffs.
Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - June 2009
Freakin' Super Mario Kart! There is hope after all!
Re: Klonoa 3? Depends On Wiimake's Sales
Everybody buy this game so we can have a Klonoa 3!
Re: Gladiator A.D. Trailer Is Ready To Shower You In Gore
Still not interested.
Re: Review: Densetsu no Stafi 3 (Game Boy Advance)
10/10? Srsly?
All these Starfy reviews are making me anticipate The Legendary Starfy more and more.
Re: XSeed Picks Up Fragile For US Release
Alright! Now all they need to do is bring that dogfighting game Project Aces is making and Xseed will officially be my favorite publisher!
EDIT: Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces! That's the one!

Re: The Grinder Is High Voltage's Second New IP
Sounds awesome! I hope HVS concentrates on developing this and not that lame-looking Gladiator game.
Re: Alien Hominid Joins The Meat Team
Yet more reason to look forward to SMB! Though I've heard this news comfirmed a while ago...
Re: The Munchables Ships to Retailers
Definite buy for me. Pac-Man + Katamari Damacy = win.
Re: Review: Panic Bomber (Virtual Boy)
It's too bad this isn't a traditional Bomber man game. One with a 1st or 3rd-person view would've been pretty neat.
Re: Hackers Expand Wii Storage, Door Now Open To Filthy Pirates
Like it would kill them to get off their fat asses for 2 seconds to change disks...
Re: High Voltage Unveils Gladiator A.D.
I'm not impressed by the screenshot, and I don't care for fighters, so there will be no dining in hell for me.
@Corbie. Agreed, my brotha! When is that game ever coming out?
"3D fighting games are never good"
Have you played Soul Caliber?
Re: Review: Penguins & Friends - Hey! That's My Fish! (WiiWare)
I saw the screenshots for this at the Shop and thought it looked like a fun game.
Re: Review: Personal Trainer: Walking (DS)
I'm gonna save $45 and buy a spedometer.
Re: Review: Vertical Force (Virtual Boy)
Looks pretty cool. All these reviews are convincing me to actually get a Virtual Boy someday!
Re: Nintendo Confirms Metroid Prime Trilogy For Wii
Pass. I'm happy with having all the Prime games individually.
Re: Review: Dragon Warrior Monsters (Game Boy)
I don't know. I'm kinda interested in tracking this one down, but it still sounds too much like a cheap Pokemon ripoff, which is why I ignored it back in the day. Anything here to convince me otherwise?
EDIT: Well, is there!?!?
Re: Nintendo Download: Popstars, WiiWare Remakes and Clay Fighting (US)
Wiiware: Awesome!
VC: Meh.
DSiWare: Bleh...
Pretty good update overall, especially compared to what we've been getting. Though I would've preferred Swords & Soldiers, we still got 2 other games the Brits have been holding from us. Now if we can just get Cave Story next week, I'll be a happy Hippo Man.
Re: Top 20 WiiWare Games in USA (20th May)
World of Goo still at #1? What are the odds!?
Re: Mario Kart Wii Used As a Driving Education Simulator
@jp-30. LOL, that certainly made my day!
Re: Review: Crystal Defenders R2 (WiiWare)
Corbie gave it a 7. Surprise suprise.

Re: Review: Silver Star Chess (WiiWare)
I wasn't gonna buy this anyway. I never got the hang of chess... >_>
Re: Bethesda Has "Really Big" Plans For Wii
Fallout 3: Vault Party?
Re: Mario Kart Wii Used As a Driving Education Simulator
@Chatham. That's why I never play Burnout before going out for a drive.
Re: First Look: Max & the Magic Marker
Am I the only one that sees some faint resemblances to LostWinds?
This reminds me, I need to download that Crayon Physics demo.
Re: Mario Kart Wii Used As a Driving Education Simulator
Awesome! Now I can learn to drop banana peels on tailgaters and use bob-ombs to get out of 5:00 traffic! XD
Re: 3D Tetris
This IS the original.
Re: Digital Leisure Announces Copter Crisis for WiiWare
Hooray! Another pile of crap with PS1-quality graphics! Thanks Digital Leisure!
Re: Nintendo Download: Masks, Crystals, Chess and Art (US)

Re: Wii Sports Resort To Feature Golf, Table Tennis
What's the point of having these if both of them were in previous Wii ___ games?
Re: Art Style: SOMNIUM
The name sounds like some kind of sleep medication...
Re: Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom Coming to US, Says Nintendo Power
Oh yus!
Re: Namco's Muscle March Possibly Most Bizarre WiiWare Game Yet
@Lanafire. I was thinking that too! lol
Re: Nintendo Download: Masks, Crystals, Chess and Art (US)
YES! MAJORA'S MASK IS FINALLY OUT!! Now I don't have to look online for the N64 version!
But, other than that, nothing else piques my interest...
Re: Review: Star Force (Arcade)
Despite the terrible score, I'm tempted to get this just to support the release of more arcade games.
Re: Eternity's Child Status Update
@Eposche. There's no reason you should bring politics into this. Yes, our country sucks, but Australia ain't that great either.
Also, I don't give a crap about Eternity's Child anymore...
Re: Review: Swords & Soldiers (WiiWare)
"They've already got Plants vs Zombies which is close enough."
P vs. Z has absolutely NOTHING in common with this game, besides both of them being strategy games.
Still need to buy that too...
Re: Top 20 WiiWare Games in USA (13th May)
I finally bought World of Goo!
Re: Review: Swords & Soldiers (WiiWare)
Awesome! Can't wait till this game hits the US of A!
Re: Nintendo Download: 19 May 2009 (Japan)
Outside of Famicom Wars, Japan had a pretty lousy week this week. Looks like America and Europe aren't the only ones seeing a decline in download releases...
Re: Namco's Muscle March Possibly Most Bizarre WiiWare Game Yet
I'll never look at Namco the same way ever again...
