It's time to take a look at the most popular WiiWare titles available on the Wii Shop Channel. If you're feeling adventurous you can even take a look for yourself by simply logging on to your Wii Shop Channel, heading into the WiiWare section and then viewing "Popular Games". It's that easy!
We compile this list using the USA region Wii Shop channel, so if you live elsewhere your list will probably be quite a bit different. Please feel free to post your region's findings below as always.
Keep in mind that the list below is a measure of actual sales made recently, not of the total time the game has been available for sale.
Here is the list for the 13th of May:
1 - World of Goo
2 - My Aquarium
3 (3) - Tetris Party
4 (4) - My Pokémon Ranch
5 (7) - Dr Mario Online Rx
6 (6) - Onslaught

17 (18) - Midnight Bowling
18 (19) - Target Toss Pro: Bags
19 (--) - Mega Man 9
20 (15) - Pop'Em Drop'Em SAMEGAME
* (N) - Denotes a brand new entry on the Top 20
* - Denotes a game that was not on the Top 20 last week
It would seem now that we have the "Fantastic Four" atop the charts, as they remain intact this week once again. Dr Mario Online Rx even managed to jump back up into the top five.
The big climber this week was once again BIT.TRIP BEAT, which jumped up four more spots to #13. This game just keeps climbing. The big dropper this week was Crystal Defenders R1, which fell five spots to #10. Could this latest Square-Enix WiiWare title be in for the same type of roller coaster ride Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King has enjoyed on the charts since its release?
One big surprise this week would be the return of the blue bomber to the Top 20. You just can't keep a good Mega Man down and his first WiiWare adventure jumps from off the charts completely all the way back up to #19 this week. It should be interesting to see how far it can make it back up the charts over the coming weeks.

Surprise surprise, World of Goo is..... FIRST!
Wow, some old games seem to be making some strong comebacks. Defend Your Castle just keeps climbing, Wild West Guns is holding its own, and MM9 is back on the charts!
I wonder if this indicates a sudden influx of new WiiWare users?
ma aquarium?
A lot of new WiiWare users...it seems so, yes. Thats fine!
I'm happy to see BIT.TRIP BEAT and Mega Man 9 climbing the chart, personally. As you guys stated, must mean we're getting some new WiiWare gamers on board. The more the merrier, I say.
Nice stealth firstie, Will.
The return of Megaman brings a happy tear to mine eye.

C'mon Mega Man! Keep climbing those charts! You can do it!
I didn't even notice Mega Man 9 slip off the charts, what a disgrace! Serves him right for going multiformat! hehe
@Dazza - You just had to mess with the formating, didn't you?
If you're going to make it more interesting looking, at least do it right with CSS! Using an image isn't very accessible. Especially for people with alternative browsers on low-memory platforms. (Hint, hint)
Daz didn't do it, I did. And it's back to normal.
Haha I asked Corbie nicely to change it back to text, I am the good guy

@Corbie & Daz - Thanks guys!
w00t! Mega Man 9 is back!
If I could buy it again to make it go up a few more spots, I would!
Hell yeah! Thanks to everyone for helping BIT.TRIP continue to claw it's way up all over the world. Maybe Nintendo's press release yesterday actually did bring in a bunch of new folk to WiiWare.
Does anyone have a Japanese chart on hand?
I think the "R1" in Crystal Defenders was a big mistake.
Woohooo! Mega Man is back
Why does My Aquarium is in the list? it doesn't call my attention...
Yeah, its a good thing Nintendo included Bit. Trip Beat in their WiiWare Birthday video yesterday. All the games that are featured in it are really good ones! I hope people take notice and download these games because they deserve to be at the top of the charts!
I also don't get My Aquarium either, but I kind of want to burn 500 points on it just to find out what the big attraction is. I was also checking out the vgchartz website, which lists the sales figures for wiiware and found out that dr. Mario was the biggest money maker, so I'm not suprised that it continues to enjoy success.
Who used the phoenix down on MM9? Gj, gj.
i am glad that mega man is back but wow how the mighty crystal defenders have fallen off every chart around the world i hope thats a lesson to square not to cut wii games in half to make more money
I wonder if some of the 'hardcore' games going back up could be because of the summer drought; people put WiiWare titles aside because their price never changes, and save them for when they have nothing else to play. I know I kinda do that.
Either way, very nice to see BTB and MM9 going back up; thank you very much Nintendo.
It's great that games such as World of Goo and Bit.Trip Beat get the recognition that they deserve. I'm surprised that Nintendo was kind enough to include them in yesterday's message to Wii owners and in video form. I have to admit though that I NEVER downloaded WoG ($15.00 USD seemed steep for a title I that I had known little about or was a new IP) but I'm definitely downloading it on pay day (tomorrow night).
Way to go, indie developers. Maybe now PSN and XBLA gamers will take WiiWare and their gaming audience more seriously - maybe developers will do the same.
some games got a bounce that were featured in the wiiware 1year video, maybe lost winds will also see increased sales
Hooray, Sandy Beach is slowly making its way out of the list!

Wow, it seems Bit.Trip Beat is going pretty well, especially in Europe. It's good to see games like this can also sell well if they are given enough attention.

Wow, that looks horrible but what else can we expect with that game selection...
We'll be starting a Top 20 DsiWare once we reach 20 releases. But thanks to all who've posted them so far.
"9. Harvest Moon: Show Me Your Nicely Cut Lawn!"
Haha... That's a brilliant title for a game.
According to @Rum Rapture, BIT.TRIP BEAT has snuck past My Aquarium and into the #1 spot for the UK! Let's keep this ball rolling Next up, Germany...
It's true! And here is the photographic evidence: see!
Too bad World Of Goo didn't hit number 1 on the Japanese charts. Also, what is so danged popular about a game that has "texas" in the title, esp. in Germany and Austrailia???
I finally bought World of Goo!
