Honestly, I was fully convinced Nintendo would get a Halo game before Sony did. With the Switch 2 out now, Microsoft could easily port all the Halo games minus Infinite; though, im sure Infinite could run on the switch 2 seeing how Cyberpunk ran well enough. Either way, I'm hoping we get at least Halo 1 or/and 2, even if its a port, on a Nintendo console. Maybe Nintendo Edition Halo collection? Gradually role them out just like they did on the Xbox?
@LavenderShroud I mean, I think it's clear what xbox's long term plans are. Xbox game pass will be available on all platforms, with their massive library of Bethesda, Activision, Blizzard and old/new Xbox IPs. It will be sad if it's only Nintendo and Playstation selling consoles by the end but it'll be easy on consumers at least. Xbox 360 rings of death really set them back, they had so much momentum.
@TheBigBlue Huh, thats too bad. I was always wondering if buying the cloud version of KHs would be worth it or even playable. Honestly, cloud streaming in general is the less appealing aspect of gaming to me.
As someone who finally got into and fell in love with Fire Emblem via 3DS. I absolutely love Mario+Rabbids both the campaign and all the hours we put into the co op mode. Can't wait for the sequel, hope they include co op again and add more to it, like getting more money or/and skill points.
This game has my money in a heart beat if they include co op beyond splitscreen. I'm praying they'll include local co op or/and online co op.... Their last few games have not unfortunately...
It kills me that they still failed to include local wireless co-op or/and online co-op. You knew the framerate issue would be much worse via splitscreen. I just don't get why they still haven't included multiple system co op?! Hyrule Warriors, Fire Emblem Warriors, etc. I know four other individuals who would buy this game in a heartbeat if it had local wireless/online co op. Such a missed opportunity...... Game looks awesome though if you only wanted to play single player
Personally as much as I'd love Metroid Prime 4 for the 2021 Holidays they should just push it to 2022 Holidays and give retro studios proper time to make a great game.
Just started playing this game. I wish the inter-phase for finding/searching for other players was more streamed line vs needing in-game friend codes...... Does anyone know how the ps4 version works, are they able to find other random players to join or do they have use the same methods as the switch version? Hopefully they'll add local multiplayer If anyone's looking to play co op online for the switch version, shoot me a message/reply.
@Juma009 Exactly, million dollar question?! It's inevitable imo that we'll see an official Monster Hunter game on the switch now that the switch has stricken major success
@spacejump How or where did you readers this?? I've seen nothing regarding that art change. Which im meh over. Prefer the original art style of Twilight Princess. Gave it that atmospheric vibe with a level of daunting wonder lol.
I know the news itself is very vague and this is my first time hearing this(Twilight Princess HD) but after conducting some research this rumor first leaked back in April. So my question to some more knowledge fans out there. Is it clarified IF Twliight Princess is remade or remastered if it'll be coming to only the wii u or 3ds, or both!? Unfortunately I only have my 3ds now and Twilight Princess is bar none my favorite of the series. Don't judge me lol.
@Samurai_Goroh completely agree, I made the executive choice in buying the wii u over the ps4 despite my roommate/ close friend owning one. Honestly we enjoyed the wii u online guest play much more than his ps4 but with no future support and likely a limited support of wii u online play, I can no longer justify keeping the wii u when I could easily trade it all in for nearly the amount I'd need for the ps4. I will always support and love Nintendo but from a far. Until they prove their heavy hitters in this gaming industry I'll move back to Sony( my second time switching from Nintendo to Sony). I still happily own a N64 and gamecube with all the best games for those consoles. I love you nintendo but I feel incredibly burned here...
Lol props to the number of individuals who totally called this happening. We predicted one wii u exclusive would care ome to the ps4/xboxone and most predicted zombieu
I always was supportive of the game itself but a little standoffish towards the kid concept of the game( ps4/xbox1 fanboys proclaiming it's for kids) but ultimately, after playing the online beta multiple times I was sold. The game was a breath of fresh. A for Splatoon.
NX could be: Next generation Nintendo console, a peripheral hardware for the ps4 or and xbox one: where nintendo makes next gen games for them acting as a secondary game developer/console company. Or, NX is a gaming Mobile software or and hardware. I want answers!! lol
@ Quorthon, First, the Wii U has sold more units than the ps vita which was sold a year earlier. PS Vita= Fail. I don't disagree with your time line of the wii u lifespan, 2017. It won't be 2016 as the NX won't come out any earlier than 2017; though, I won't agree that Nintendo may begin to flush out the wii u by mid-late 2016. Between myself and my roommate we have both the ps4 and the wii u. We consistently play the wii u much more than the ps4. ps4 is fun if your into the milked genre of FPS but honestly, everyone knows FPS are best left on the pc along with graphics.
@Shiryu I feel discontent with their comments as well. I personally feel if they really wanted to get this on the wii u they could. I wouldn't even care if they lowered the specs. With that said, it's a bit unnerving with the whole "we'll probably wait for the next gen Nintendo console". It's comments and articles like these that push me more and more to the idea of purchasing a ps4. Doesn't help most of my friends have one. I love my wii u but it's starting to get to a point where I feel I'm missing out on too many next gen games...
@hYdeks exactly, as much fun as it is playing Mario kart 8 and smash bros wii u online it is a bit unnerving knowing the possibility of a new Nintendo console on the horizon and seeing how quickly Nintendo discarded the original wii's online play. I don't want to buy a game that'll have a one to two year lifespan via online community. I also don't care for the in your face kid like theme. Overall I still really enjoyed the online beta and will strongly consider buying it but I think it's worth investing in games that'll have reply value outside of online play specially for the wii u with the unfortunate possibility of a new Nintendo console coming within the next year or two.....

@aaronsullivan Yes and yes! One of the best features in zelds hyrule Warriors was the ability to have separate screens. Myself using the gamepad and my house mate on the TV. Provided a much more personal experience. Kinda of like when your on a mmo playing with friends but having that ability to roam astray from your friends lol. Either way, I'm stoked. Four swords reference was my first thought in regards to this game.
@IcyWindGames I'm so excited and love these type of games. Local multi-player is a rare thing these days( primarily speaking about ps4/xboxone). Myself and my mates will be "raiding" through this game four player co op. The best kind of gaming experience imo)
@Rocky2418 I agree with what you said. I don't purchase retail games: unfortunately, I was very desperate one night and purchased Mario 3d world but outside of that it's strictly virtual console games. I will say though, I've purchased paper Mario, super Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, earthbound, Donkey Kong country, punch out, metriod trilogy, pokemon snap, and majoras mask, (pikmin 3, smash, Mario kart 8, hyrule Warriors dlc) still have 6gbs left.( Mario 3d world included). Unfortunately if you choose the path of retail wii u games you'll run out of memory very fast lol....

@vio I completely agree, 8gb version should of never existed to begin with. 32gb version by itself is not enough. Luckily I have a 1TB external hard drive I already owned but while Nintendo has made some positive changes with its online features and play, they should of incorporated more internal memory from the get go. The eshop is great and has provided Nintendo with steady income but when your very limited... Nintendo, add more memory.
@Tops Got to play it today. Collectively I was very impressed. Reminded of me Team Fortress 2 in multiple ways. Team work is definitely a pivotal factor in the game and the hidden depth of gameplay is promising. My only complaint was the fact you had to use the game pad and part of the controls featured motion control. It worked alright but at the end of the day I want to be able to use my pro controller with no motion controls. Other than that, this game will be great.
Heck yes, a true action adventure platformer. Brings me back to the N64 era where the market was almost too saturated with platformers. ( Glover, super Mario 64, Gecko, Banjo Kazooie, Conker, Donkey Kong 64, spyro, crash, etc). Well this is positive and exciting news all the way around. A new game, not made by Nintendo, that's both unique and exclusive, and will ultimately capture part of that special niche Nintendo consoles used to thrive with.
Am I the only one noticing or enduring this? Since I've downloaded the new Mario kart dlc, playing online is pretty damn laggy and I feel like I'm racing somewhere between 150-200cc vs 100-150cc type feel online Mario kart 8 had before this download. I'm stoked they've added 200cc but 100-150cc is where the magics at. I want things to go back to the way they were with the new dlc included.
@Wuneye No you must start up the game itself and once you open up the main menu the game will immediately identify if you've purchased it and a notice will be brought up asking you if you'd like to download now, of course for free) Took me a solid 15minutes to download it. I have pretty solid Internet connection.
Dang looks like I'm going to wait and in the mean time vicariously live through the other fortune folks out there who got all thee above. I've strongly considered buying smash wii u digitally but I'm afraid for whatever reason if my wii u died would I have to repurchase it or can games you buy digitally transfer from one console to another?
