@SpaceboyScreams Also it really is a shame that they've basically just been coasting on their success. People just wanted the Virtual Console and for their games to not run at sub-720p (like 380p-ish for games like XC2) in handheld and sub-1080p docked. At least that's all I wanted. (and enough power for certain games I love to get ports)

@SpaceboyScreams And if the thing ends up running Yuzu well (especially as it matures) the thing can basically run every single Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Kirby, Metroid, etc. game ever made.

AND you can code your own games and modding/romhacking tools on the thing!

I've been waiting years to gets ports of so many must-have games that still have no sign of making it to the system so no. And with below-720p resolutions in a lot of games with no anti-aliasing options to smooth that out even, and the same battery life, what is even the point of getting an OLED screen... Nooooope. I love Nintendo's software but I'm playing 'em on PC now instead with awesome ReShade effects like a BotW-style toon shader in Smash Ultimate. Looks awesome and runs amazing! I'm over Nintendo hardware. (And my PC is low-budget even)

Bring on the Steam Deck, instead!

Already have my OG Switch for Nintendo games

Jumping ship on 3rd-party ports for Switch to play them on a Steam Deck instead, and they're already purchased

And as Yuzu gets better and better I'll probably put my whole Nintendo library on the thing someday so...yeah. Steam Deck. Get to mod everything and even code games in desktop mode. The thing is awesome!

I wish they'd add a lot more minigames and interactive things to do... I still like it but outside of cosmetic customizations it's a pretty shallow experience. I'm hoping for a nice expansion DLC or something at some point for it. It has SO much potential it's crazy.

I still enjoy it for what it is.

Phantom Brave alone gives WAY more than 60 hours of gameplay, there are 400 abilities and skills to build characters with~

People that love stuff like that like with class-based RPGs would really love this if they gave it a shot

@Jeronan I don't think the chibi style is really bothering people as much as the ugly plastic 3D look overall

Pixel art like the DS originals age like fine wine

The remakes look like an old PS2 game in widescreen

They should have at least used the cel shading of SwSh

We don't need an "as faithful to the original games" sort of remake when the original still looks amazing

They should've upped the ante with the styles they chose to use big time

The original looks way better than these cheap plastic graphics. If they had at least had the same toon shading as SwSh then it would've at least not looked like ass. The chibi style isn't even the problem.

Please update the Switch hardware already, Nintendo. It needed it when the Lite came out.

I stopped running super-high-powered consoles and PCs once I realized they were turning my gaming room into a sauna.

The Switch, a Ryzen 3400G PC, my tablet, and classic emulators and romhacking/modding is way more than enough to keep me entertained.

Really just want a spec boost for the Switch soon.

I hope they actually go through with it, rather than just letting the Switch fizzle out like the Wii did. Come on, Nintendo! You know we all want to play BotW 2 and all our Switch games in the best way possible! Don't want history to repeat itself here. Wii was underpowered and non-HD. Switch is finally HD but now other consoles are 4k. It's giving me deja vu.

Don't get me wrong, I don't care about 4k. I want a portable Switch with a no-bezel 1080p screen, and smooth 1080p docked gameplay. With the power to get ports of games like FFXV and an internal HDD/SDD to actually have enough storage for things. Maybe then we could even get a FFXIV port which I'd personally like.

I don't mind not getting PS5-quality games, but I really wish the Switch could handle a real FFXV port because it's my main FF machine now. I love my Switch whether I get those games or not, though. Got a huge enough backlog to last me a long time.

It's worth playing just for the writing alone. THAT'S what made the old games so special and fun, not the watered down RPG mechanics.

The lack of experience points doesn't mean there's no progression. It's just done more in the style of Zelda with heart containers and items. I think most of you thinking of passing on this because it doesn't seem like TTYD should give this game a chance.

This is coming from a guy that cringed hard at the paper craft graphics and lack of experience points too for the first few hours of this game, because PM64 and TTYD were my childhood and I still adore them. Once you get that first party member the game takes a huge turn and becomes just as magical as the first two games.

I loved the old Paper Mario games back then because they gave life to the world of Mario in ways the platformers just never did. This game reminded me of that.

If this is true then they should've added two more personality options to villagers. Was stoked playing the series for the first time just to end up with 10 villagers where 2 of them said the exact same damn stuff as 2 others. I enjoyed the game for the villagers and that really killed the magic for me.

I want a nice open 3D Kirby please.Like Super Mario Odyssey but with the awesomeness of Kirby's music and copy abilities.

@Aquamine-Amarine I'm like that with anime. It's just something about games that makes me feel differently.

I wish these publishers would dub these games...
Japanese-only VA just ruins the experience for me.

I understand why they can't include them all, and I understand it, but I'm definitely going to miss cherry picking my team. Especially since I mainly play mono and it's slimmer pickings when you only build your team with one Pokemon type.

5/10 is pretty harsh. The original release's main issue was the horrible texture pop-in and optimization, and this game that you say "Square Enix decided to remaster few asked for" deserved this second chance. Then you complain about the voice acting, and yet it's fine and it even syncs properly with their lips unlike Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (god that was awful). This was a douche review. This game is better than that, even if it didn't suit your tastes.

And gamers don't mind looking up mechanics and info on games like this. This is why GameFAQs exists.

This is why I love the Switch so much. With CRPG/WRPGs announced for it like Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pillars of Eternity, and hopefully this, along with all the colorful Nintendo games and JRPGs, we get tons of variety in a library of games we can play anywhere. Love it.

Edit: Oh and if this is a real port, I'd like to see the real FFXV ported too, please, Square...

I actually really like that it focuses on Sonic.

@TempOr They use the word "overclock" but it's more like setting it to the default nvidia shield TV clock, really. Plus the Switch has a fan. I've been using the homebrew OC since it was released and there isn't any extra heat when I play. ^^

I actually adore this game right now. If you're into the style and enjoy games like Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley I think it's totally worth getting.

I thought this was just going to be a game streaming service like PlayStation Now or GeForce Now? If it is, I wouldn't be worried. I'd be really excited if they helped make mobile gaming even better, though. I love my Switch but mostly because I love portable gaming.

I am so freaking excited for this! Love the cell shaded graphics! Loved Sun/Moon gameplay but always hated that low resolution screen, so this is so nice to see.

I want to be able to make my own pixel art. That'd be the feature that'd get me interested.

Also happy they kept the outline effect the 3DS games had. Didn't like how Let's Go looked without it.

But anyway, yeah, HYPE!

@SlippingBack I love Pokemon but Let's Go barely had anything to sink your teeth into to see why Pokemon is fun. I'd give this one a try instead. Let's Go is the most basic game you could play (and it's a gameboy game remake).

I haven't been this hyped for a Switch exclusive since BOTW!!! I thought Fire Emblem would do it for me but I really don't like the school aspect of it... I'll enjoy it, but I doubt it'll be my favorite. Wish they'd go back to the old art style, too.

Really want to see what's added to warrant that "2" on it. Don't want them to just call it that to make it seem like a bonafide sequel if it's really just a port.

A Switch that could dual boot to Android and open up access to tonnns of useful apps would make the Swith even sweeter than it already is.

I don't have or want a Wii U so I've been really really hoping for Windwaker HD, then Twilight Princess HD. Can never have enough Zelda.

Other than that...any RPGs/Strategy games make me happy.

I like having the games seperate, personally. I loved X-2 as a teenager but have a hard time wanting it in my collection now.
