THQ Nordic has revealed that turn-based strategy game Battle Worlds: Kronos is headed to Nintendo Switch next month.
You can get a quick look at the game in the newly released trailer above; inspired by the likes of Battle Isle, Advance Wars and Panzer General, this one originally launched on Steam back in 2013. The Switch version comes with added touch screen support and brand new maps which are specially designed for the game's 'hot seat local multiplayer' mode.
It also features three campaigns which THQ Nordic says will offer more than 60 hours of gameplay, and promises the challenge of strong AI opponents as you take command of ground, air, and sea units.
If you're interested in picking this one up, you'll be able to get either a digital or physical copy for the recommended price of €29.99 / $29.99 / £26.99 from 11th June.

Personally, I’d avoid this game as it’s overcomplicated and hugely boring.
I have it on Steam and it grabbed me at first, but somehow bored me a few missions in. Strange, as usually I eat these kind of games up (I really like Tiny Metal, flawed as it is) and hexes are a great improvement over squares.
I can't remember what my issue with it was, but it lacked something.
Looks cool, but hard to justify picking this up when I haven't tried Wargroove yet.
Wasn't this already announced with a release date of May 28th?
I love this game, played it for dozens of hours on PC and will surely get it for switch. This is real good Turn-Based-Strategy with real depth. It is not easy and you have to think a lot about every movement of your troops, but that's what this genre should be about, isn't it?
@Reignmaker cause it has tanks, battleships and jets instead of dragons and spearmen?
Looking forward to this!
Pretty neat visuals! Sixty hours doesn't sound like all that much for the genre in question though, but I do find I'm more inclined to play games I can actually finish nowadays!
I got this heavily discounted on PSN awhile back, recall being pretty disappointed. I'd consider this but not for 29.99
This is one of those games I just know I will want. I love these kind of games.
Good thing it is also $30 Canadian!
Man I love THQNordic!
This looks fun. I like games like this loved halo wars 1 and 2
I appreciate THQ Nordic, they're the leading publisher in regards to resurrecting older IP and porting them to the Switch, but this game's reviews are average at best. Arguably THQ Nordic's weakest offering to date. But hey...there aren't very many RTS games on Switch so...there you go, RTS fans.
Strategy games like this are right up my street but not encouraged by the metacritic scores. Hopefully the devs have improved on past releases...
@Magician I think Warparty might be the the only proper RTS we got so far.
Okay, I'm interested. Need to investigate. I love a good wargame. But if it's basically Advance Wars, I need to buy Wargroove first.
The artstyle doesn't look amazing, but the game mechanics look fun to me. If the performance is ok, I'll end up getting it eventually. If only because this genre is still lacking, on Switch.
