Re: Digital Foundry Delivers A Tech Analysis Of Assassin's Creed Shadows On Switch 2

@RenanLK I think the limit is already pretty clear.
We are already seeing the limits of the hardware, when you get a game that has to strip all its "current-gen" lighting system for a last-generation technology that makes it flatter, just to achieve a 648p.

The thing is, since the switch 2 is more tech-aligned to current console hardware and has the advantage of DLSS, the limit is way "prettier" than what a switch 1 could do against PS4, for example.

@BaldB3lper78 This game originally released in 2013. That is almost 13 years ago.
There is absolutely no justification for you to accept an old game re-release on new hardware to be inferior to the original version.
"Oh, but ps3 version ran at 30fps 720p".
So, let's pick the PS4 version, launched in 2014, that's 12 years ago, 60fps with better graphics than the original version.

Visual identity is part of "what games are about".
This port strips away the game`s original vision to the point where in one of the emotional parts of the narrative, Lara stares at a blank wall because they removed the mirror in which se reflects on her actions.

We can't normalize lazy ports.
This is just insane that a consumer is pro-exploration.
