Re: Art Style Continues on DSiWare

PALgamer

I'm going to wait and see what the new handheld offers in: new gameplay, DSi games extras, DSiWare (only Dr. Mario interest me, so far, and not that much), before jumping in.

Re: Review: Bang! (WiiWare)

PALgamer

Ahhh OK, either way you did give it around a four on your website too. It's pretty cool, I didn't know there was a TV Show King Party, might buy it if it's cheap.

@Terranigma: Wow, hold your horses, I was simply trying to lighten the conversation since I thought you where a bit hard on Corbie for a simple keyboard error and taking it out of context, seems like it didn't work. But I won't press the matter on, since it is a sore subject. If it has offended you, I'm very sorry!!!

Re: Space Invaders Get Even Coming To US WiiWare December 1st

PALgamer

Hope you like it NTSCgamer, because I didn't, I thought it was too slow.
(Thank you Taito for the low entry price) I think more developers should try this, could be like a paying demo. Sell the first level, room, etc, for 500 Wii points, you try it, and if you like it buy the rest... but keep it cheap
... OHHHhh wait!!! Couldn't they give the first level free, like some Nintendo channels do, and then pay for the whole game via DLC? End of WiiWare, beginning of ShareWare!

Re: Review: Boingz (WiiWare)

PALgamer

I'm interested in the game and its gameplay mechanics. The springing does seem a bit wobbly. An example (from the IGN video) when preparing for a jump a line goes straight up from the Boingz although instead of going up-and-down it makes a parabola. Could be part of the mechanics, but it did seem weird. Either way, I'd try it out when it comes out here and check the controls myself.

@marmosetofdeath: Do you know when this game is coming to Europe?
Like most developers; are you still translating, rating the game, etc...?

Re: USA WiiWare Update: Boingz & Sudoku Challenge!

PALgamer

As I said in other news, America will get MaBoShi when we get WoG, that's NoJ evil reasoning with the updates. Don't kill the messenger.
Haven't got a clue really, having regions sucks. I understand the ratings, etc. But as the world tends to globalise, this fragmentation is...

@4: Nobody has said anything about Boingz yet. Guess they are waiting for the review.

Re: Gameloft Interview Reveals New WiiWare and DSiWare Details

PALgamer

Will the DSlite be compatible with DSiWare, or is it locked to the DSi model and the region which it is bought on?
I was thinking on getting the DSi, but due to their limitations on regions, software, etc. I'm thinking on getting a Lite now and not trouble myself on the DSiWare, DSiGames, etc.

@Tony: Just go to their website, see their midnight series and mobile series (Asphalt, Midnight, Platinium, Real Football, Soul of Darkness, Assassins Creed, Abracadaball, etc).

Re: EU WiiWare Update: Cubello, Cue Sports, Cooking Jam and Strong Bad 3

PALgamer

KDR_11k, you really think the Art Style games are going to be weekly updates? I think it will take a month and a half (or more) to get them all.
P.S. Think bad with NoE and you will get it right.

EDIT: The person who updated the Strong Bad release for PAL did it for the fourth and not the third. Yup, the European Strong Bad 3 is late, but we don't skip it

Re: Wayforward Interview - LIT

PALgamer

Finally some screens for this game (wanted to see how they developed the 3D) and it doesn't fail.

While we wait (a common European sport), you can have a go at Darkest Fear on your mobiles, which has the exact same gameplay as this game only with a top-down 2D view. Highly recommended!!!

Re: Tiki Towers

PALgamer

I'd pay good money for a WiiWare Bridge Builder game, and this does look more like it, since the structures you build seem stable and not gooey like in WoG.
