Another reason can be the anouncement of the true Kirby Wii game that is set to come. Had they waited to announce it after the European release I'm sure it would have done better. Bad timing.
Haven't had a problem with my Wii using components cable (shame there are some games that don't use 480p) on a 55" LED TV (it also has Svideo and Scart inputs), maybe some lag in games like NSMB but turning on game mode fixed that. What really surprised me that these new TV's really come packed with all the extra features you would need: Digital TV/SAT decoders, media centre capabilities, streaming video, PIP, etc. I was getting ready to buy an HD sat decoder, standalone HTPC... but the TV is more than enough! Maybe I'll get a laptop to use as an HTPC.
GH series did good on the Wii, most of the times even better than their HD counterparts (though they milked it to death). RB1 port was horrible, at least afterwards they got up2date with the features GH was giving. Congrats Activision on your foresight, let Harmonix invest on what is left of the active market.
That's right, if you go to NoE site. This game is coming out the 4th in Europe for Wii, with the new fireplace WW (Cosy Fire). Alongside Animal Boxing, Digger Dan&Kaboom, Gold Fever and GloryDays Tactical Defense for DSiWare... and S.C.A.T. (NES) for VC.
I think the next 3DS will be slightly bigger (like the DSi with respect to DSL) with a bigger 3D screen that is more energy efficient, it's the only part they can improve. Maybe make it matte again (hate glossy electronics) and add a trackpad to the bottom like the NGP? They messed up using 4:3 in the screen bellow, that one should have been 5:3 too, so not expecting an upgrade to widescreen for the lower one.
My star account is set to zero. I lost more than 3000 stars that expired without NoE sending me any email about it. So after that happened I decided to buy Nintendo points whenever I have stars. Having 7000 is no easy task.
You have to take Chillingo's previous pricing into factor. From Dracula: Undead Awakening 1$ App to DSi 500p and WiiWare 1000p ports. Same thing will happen here to Angry Birds. But I'd like to see Rolando 2 on WiiWare, would be nice to play in a big screen.
@zkaplan: That's true, there are way nicer games available for the iPhone at that price range too. Though I find it curious that whenever a company brings these iPhone ports over to DSiWare they tend to go to the $5 price range (Flight Control, Dracula: Undead Awakening, Fieldrunners), when they could have done much better at $2.
Really great Xmas updates! Haven't been bothered with the online offerings from Nintendo this year, and it seems I haven't missed much. NoE, it's Christmas, time of giving. It's also the first time some Wii owners begin to get their Wii's online. Nice way to greet them! It's Nintys business and they must know what they are doing?!?!?!
Chibi Link and Calculon, you guys are very optimistic. Will they finally be able to release everything they haven't in the previous three months at the last one? I'd think they will release another two games from the list like they did this month, maybe three since there is an extra release day. Squibs Arcade I'm sure was supposed to come out with the iPhone version, so it's really late, though if it's anything like the iPhone version they can keep it... Looking forward to Bonsai Barber, Cave Story, LIT, Spaceball, and the latest US WW Neves Plus.
We are never going to catch up with NTSC like this. But who cares, right? /me goes back to play Icarian
NoE have released only two WiiWare's from their schedule this month, both Icarian and Water Warfare. For July they have to release two of them each week or start having three WiiWares like in America. We do have more games than anyone in the queue so it would be logical we had more releases too!... nope it isn't...
Games for next month from "NoE's Schedule": WiiWare - Bonsai Barber, Cave Story, Colorz, LIT, Oveturn, Robocalypse, Spaceball, Squibs Arcade. DSiWare - Mighty Flip Champs!
On topic: Just one WW when this month we were getting loads of games? Don't get it how the US has two releases each week and we get only get one. Even when they have less games on the pipeline than us? We got an additional 20 games apart from the new ones that are coming in.
You're right KDR, from the NoE April-July release list, only two games so far have come out. We have a great month ahead of us, more than one WW weekly Can't wait for: Bonsai Barber, Cave Story, Colorz, Icarian, LIT, Oveturn, Robocalypse, Spaceball, Squibs Arcade, Water Warfare.
On the DSiWare front, they've done much better so far by releasing four games with Mighty Flip Champs! and A Little Bit of... Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training: Maths Edition left for next month.
Never understand why some WiiWare US releases have to come to PAL as a retail version. Isn't WiiWare supposed to be a less risk method on getting your content out? Why give the US the option to get retail or download and not to PAL? Funny thing is the iPhone version will truly be the worldwide downloadable release to get.
It's only recently that Nintendo has started to give treats to PAL. On average we still get the short end of the stick, but there's change in the air. Americans notice it, that's why they are becoming impatient. In this digital global age, everyone should be treated the same, that is what Nintendo should aim for next.
There are more games from WiiWare on iPhone than the other way round (only can think of Crystal Defenders). Defend Your Castle, Equilibrio, Midnight Bowling/Pool, Pop, Tiki Towers, TV Show King, Wild West Guns, and Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam all there and are even cheaper. And with Toki Tori plus Potpourrii also going.
Tomorrow is holiday! So they work one day in advance.
Hope they stick to one week and don't go back into their old bad habits of fortnights. Then everyone will notice that we all get treated the same way (except the Japanese...).
I don't like the name of the site much, but I come here for the content so having it all merged up is great! Designs are bigger and fill my screen more. Although I miss the blue, white from WWW, change is always healthy.
That was fun to read, specially the side remarks. Great to know it isn't all balance and the difficulty increases exponentially. Definitely going to get this quirky title when it shows up here (thanks Starwolf for that confirmation). Excellent impressions! ... No regrets on the price then?

Has no one ever seen Captain Tsubasa here? They were very famous back in their time, best football cartoon ever.

Re: Angry Birds Making Their Nest on WiiWare
It's more like those crush the castle flash games, where you shoot birds and each has their own traits.

Look at our patience - we wait and wait years - but the sail has shipped already, forgotten.

Enjoy your downloads America!
@theblackdragon: I have the first Petz game for PC. It was fun little diversion at the time.
Re: Kirby's Epic Yarn Unravels to 2011 in Europe
FAIL... I wanted to play it on Christmas! Thanks NoE for delaying it, as a reward wont buy it till Christmas 2011!!! I laugh last, HaHarha

It's a port of an iPhone game which is much more forgiving at its price range of $1.
Re: E3 2010: 3DS Could be Region-Locked
Region locking... representing PAL: "WII DO NOT WANT!!!"
Re: 3DS Could Turn Pages as Well as Heads
#13: Exactly right. If you want eBook, make both screens the same size...
Re: E3 2010: More Clues to the Inner-Workings of Ghost Trick Phantom Detective
I don't know why you don't like it. I think it's great.
Something new to look out for.

Why does this and Nintendo's site says April-July?
"The games [...] are coming to WiiWare between April - July 2009"

Wow, six, thought it was the Japanese Update.
Congrats America. Nintendo loves you more than us, even if you don't think sooo

Like my sig says:
PAL is the new NTSC

Curious this Spanish developer chose a Japanese co-worker (??) to demo the game.
Re: Swords & Soldiers Out in North America Next Monday
You'll be getting Fish'em All! as well on Monday.
Re: Nintendo Download: Space Harrier Arcade, Fish'em All and Art Style: NEMREM (EU)
Indeed, there is only hope...
One of the future WW's, Squibs Arcade, just got released on the App Store for a measly dollar.

That's because PAL is the new NTSC, get used to it America
Re: Nintendo Download: Fantasy Zone II, Rainbow Islands and More Magic (EU)
The DSi Shop still has to prove itself worthy of my money, nothing yet.
Oh yeah, wake me up when Cave Story arrives. ZZzzz
Re: Chillingo Bringing Rolando Killer to WiiWare
They got some nice games on the platform, you just need to go see what they offer. Even got Katamari with motion controls, that game should be on Wii!

"Harvest Moon - Show me your meadow" ... okay... Wow, that WW is expensive!
Re: Some WiiWare Developers Won't Get Paid
Aha, so this is why PAL releases are like they are. Why release it in PAL when the NTSC game isn't making money.
Re: New WiiWare Game: Fish'em All
Another Spanish developer on-board WW. Good luck to them.
¡¡SUERTE chic@s!!

They say it comes out on May.
