Look at the videos, and save yourself 1000 points: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hUEGcXWNa4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT3c2ZzjVbY I like how they can slide off the platform, but the others can help them get up, lol.
@Sean Aaron: That would have a better solution (faster writting speeds in RAM) but might be a lot harder to implement. I think Nintendo made the DRM content so everything had to be inside the Wii's internal memory (don't know exactly how the Wii's DRM works). For instance, when the Wii's first got out, there was no SD option to let you copy your saves or downloads, everything had to be done through the internal memory. Don't think they ever thought the need of expanding the internal memory, since at the designing stage only Virtual Consoles would be available for download.
Take that everyone saying USB, SD it is! After the last firmware, it was obvious what they where going to do. @Nintendo-Naut: You can't backup those games because they have WiFi data stored on them.
I know it isn't official, but people's comments take it like it was. DSiVC will make it to the west, since it is supposedly planned for Japan. Don't see a reason not to bring it here, if so. I just find it odd this got out before the release, trying to sell DSi's on features that wont be there out of the box. The first Wii's weren't sold on the promise of WiiWare. Anyways, today it might be official.
They didn't loose money, they made $5M+. What is amazing, is that they had covered already more than half of the development with the pre-orders. And with the success it has had on WiiWare, the money just started pouring in (and still going).
@StarDust: WiiWare has DRM, you can't put the game you have bought in another console. It is linked to the console you purchased it on.
There is a video of Icarian: Kindred Spirits going around that you should post here. Although it looks like it's the first level and there is no much challenge, the physics when the platforms fell looked pretty cool.
Remember in Japan when buying the classic controller you got free Wii points? Nintendo should have done something like this for the rest of the regions. When giving points free, people want to use them. That would mean more Wii's going online and experiencing the Wii Shop. Which in the end means more potential users. They should give the 1000 free points always, so every DSi user experiences the online shop.
EDIT: We have the Star2Points exchange in our Club, although it isn't as direct as giving you free points, you do get points when you register ~20 Nintendo games.
You guys are too quick judging a book by it's cover, just wait till the review confirms this is AAA, specially since it's coming from the awesome Spanish developer Gammick Entertainment. They are publishing Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ here in Europe. (goes back to play pong toss)
The people who where looking forward for Onslaught should notice that they already have a Hudson game by the name of Snowboard Riot this month (like Loopstar has pointed out). You already have your Hudson game of the month, so you'll be waiting next month for either Pop Them, Drop Them SameGame or Onslaught.
That is unless NoA changes their policy (like they have done before for Hudson and Gameloft).
Was interested in this game before the first trailer, but that video killed the mood I wished this game had (second one is way better, but what the first one showed, the game will have...). I think gameplay will still be fun, but it isn't as thrilling as I hoped it be. Hope the review proves me wrong because I was really looking forward to this game before. PS: Update seems fine to me, your typical European pace
Last trailer they put was more in line with horror aspect I was looking forward from this title, not like the first one they showed. Something positive from this release date, we may have the review before it comes out here (if it even comes out here).
I don't know why Nintendo doesn't help small developers bring their games globally. Didn't they want to attract WiiWare to them? They should help them with these kind of hurdles. I guess they do enough by helping them regionally (they do, no?).
PS: Concerning translations, less than half needs to be done (German and Italian) since both French and Spanish should be included in the American version.
I'm going to have Fun Fun!!! And about the huge bulk of games we are getting today, like many have pointed out, it's great that NoJ is reading WWW and taking their releases very seriously. Four games each alternating week was too much for us, it allowed us to be on par with US, but we aren't accustomed to being treated like that. I couldn't decide which games to get, since there were so many to pick!!! Thank you for listening and releasing two games, this way I know what to get.
It's a joy to see happy faces in this time of year. Have fun with MaBoShi and the cheap pool game, while we play Bang and Niki Rock and Ball. Wuahahahaha!

Re: 1000 Free Nintendo Points to EU Customers
Will the limited time be six months like in the US?
Re: Surprise Japanese WiiWare Released Today
I've seen the videos, and it's something I would buy, reminds me of Super Mario 128. Anyways, it won't come to Europe's WiiWare service any time soon.
Re: First Military Madness Screenshots!
Great update from a great game.
Re: EU WiiWare Update: Texas Hold'em Tournament
Exclusive title!!!!! NoE is really spoiling us in the WiiWare front lately.

You know why they can't load directly from the SD card, right? DRM.

Re: Target Confirms 1000 Free DSi Points
Thanks for that update ReZon. Now I know the time frame for the DSi to prove itself.

Re: Rejoice! The DSi Gets a Virtual Console After All
Is this official? Why wasn't it available on the Japanese DSi since its launch?
I'd wait for an official statement from Nintendo.

Re: DSiWare to Become Nintendo's App Store?
Oh ?_? lol
So is DSiWare and WiiWare merging together to this site?
Any surprises in two weeks time?
Re: DSiWare to Become Nintendo's App Store?
Don't developers need $3000 to be able to have DSi SDK, while for the App Store you just spend $100?
PS: What's with all these DSi stuff on the site lately?
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Bit.Trip Beat
O_O ...
Re: EU WiiWare Update: Family Table Tennis and Jungle Speed
This is why the DSi is going to be great.

Re: New Furry Legends Screenshots
Sebastian, are you using the experience learned while making "LocoRoco Hi" into this game?
Re: Review: Family & Friends Party (WiiWare)
"and while it hardly qualifies as a triple-A title" What? lol.
Awesome score. But, how could a game like this benefit from online?
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Family & Friends Party
Heh, you can always give it a 7.1
That will catch us all off guard.

Re: USA WiiWare Update: Family & Friends Party
Truly an AAA WW title there.
Re: EU WiiWare Update: Beer Pong and Snowboard Riot
When releasing crap, put out all of it so it's over and done with.
We already commented on this before (shakes head).
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Onslaught
Hudson inexplicably does it again. It would've been a great laugh if Samegame came out on Feb also, hahahahaha.
Re: Diatomic: Microscopic Arcade Action Madness
Reminds me of Flow rather than Geometry Wars, with whipping rather than eating.
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Evasive Space

Re: USA WiiWare Update: Evasive Space
I get a feeling we wont see this one over in PALand.
But nevertheless have fun with it America.
There is one thing we have in common right now, the ridiculous slow pace. Step it up NoJ!!!
Re: EU WiiWare Update: Onslaught and Pop-Up Pirate!
^^ Only bugs? Not buying it then... or can you play as the bugs online?
Re: EU WiiWare Update: Onslaught and Pop-Up Pirate!
The FPS jumps into WW! Is there a CTF online mode in it? Would only get it for the online. But I got my eye on PuP, looking good, lol.
Now onto the update, if ...blah blah blah... only equal ...blah blah blah... lackluster ...blah blah blah... typical ...blah blah blah!!!

Re: Team Meat Interview - Super Meat Boy
Interesting read, specially on how they entered WW development.
You gotta love the acronym, SMB !!!
Re: Artex Studios Developing for WiiWare
You forgot to add a track editor, few people have suggested it.
What about destructible tracks? Maybe too hazardous!
Re: Meat Boy Plushie and Musical Track Now Available
Just noticed the plush is based on the original flash game.
No wonder it looks different
Re: Meat Boy Plushie and Musical Track Now Available
That plush needs some teeth! Grrrrr
Re: EU WiiWare Update: Pop Them Drop Them and Family Glide Hockey
A little better than last time, but still not there NoE, guess it's a lost hope.
I've noticed I don't look forward to updates as I did last year.
Re: USA WiiWare Update: High Voltage Hot Rod Show & Family Glide Hockey
That racing game doesn't exist, it's an illusion.
Re: Bit.Trip Beat To Bring Classic Arcade Gameplay To WiiWare
The game seems to be using the wiimote's IR. This could be good, but not getting my hopes up since we wont see it in PAL.
