This game is super loved by my daughter and I. I cannot tell you about the amount of hours we sunk into this world, building and climbing and mining, hunting, etc... they are memories that I will treasure for my lifetime, and I hope hers as well.

One thing that drives me a little nuts is how underpowered the console feels while playing and loading this game. I mean, it can barely let the title screen load without it stuttering and freezing. I'm not sure how things like this aren't fixed. Maybe it's a minor gripe, but it is the reason my daughter and I find ourselves playing the mobile version so much more often. Hopefully one day it can be addressed or at least corrected with Switch 2.

Good idea, though I think Twitter is here to stay. Even the people saying "RIP Twitter" or "I'm leaving!" then proceed to continue tweeting and checking in to see how people responded.

All this aside, I like the idea of being in this mailing list, haha.

I actually think the game is pretty fun, but then again, I’m pretty good at it, haha. I can see people complaining about it if they suck.

I’ve got to say, if they aren’t frequent enough, I might cancel my subscription. I don’t play games online, so my only purpose for having this thing is for the retro games. This is super disheartening.

The only SP version of the games worth playing is The Legend of Zelda. The thing that sucks about all the others is that, yeah, you have some upgrades, but it starts you on the last level... it’s not a whole new experience, it’s just the last level with some upgrades.

Fallout on Switch would make my life.

I bought the digital release awhile back when it was on sale... tried to play the first level and had such a difficult time with the controls that I gave up, haha! I’ll have to really sink my teeth into it sometime, because I do like the world the game has, and the music is fantastic.

All I’m going to say is we need a new Pokémon Snap... what a GREAT game!

Definitely a day one purchase for me, if for nothing else, just to show my support for this unique “virtual console” like experience. Hopefully they will be open to bring us some N64, SNES, etc in the future. 🤞

@MeloMan The Van Allen Radiation Belt doesn’t begin till after the low earth orbit (roughly 400 miles above the surface of the earth). That’s where the radiation reaches dangerous levels.

Yeah, you’d have to be an idiot to not be able to see it’s fisheyed. Even so “space” doesn’t exist till you reach 264,000 feet. There are weather balloons that go higher than 135,000 feet, and their footage always shows it as flat (when not using a GoPro or fisheye lens, of course).

It seems like the battling would be totally stupid if it’s just two people tapping on the screen... they need to completely revamp the system for this.

I’m just reading this like... announce Fallout ports next month. Haha!

I have mixed views on this. The Direct style works really well as far as time management, since it seamlessly jumps from announcement to announcement... however, I miss being able to hear the audience reaction to the content being shown. It builds an incredible hype and just makes it feel like it’s not just me sitting on a couch, watching the presentation unfold, alone, haha. A perfect example is the reaction to the Twilight Princess announcement. I’ve seen the trailer by itself, and it’s good, but every time I watch the E3 reveal of it, I’m nearly moved to tears. I miss those days.

@MeloMan I think I might enjoy Donkey Kong Jr even more than the original, haha
