The North American My Nintendo Rewards site has updated with a new batch of discounts for games on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. This time around, the focus is on Pokémon, Pokémon, and a little bit more Pokémon.
The pocket monster theme has been established in celebration of the latest digital distribution taking place in Pokémon Sun and Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. If you missed the news, the legendary Pokémon Kyogre and Groudon are available to collect right now.
So, which lovely games are on offer? We have you covered with this short but sweet list below.
- [3DS] 30% off Pokémon Battle Trozei: 180 Platinum Points
- [3DS] 30% off Pokémon Trading Card Game: 140 Platinum Points
- [Wii U] 30% off Pokémon Snap: 30 Gold Points
Will you be taking advantage of any of these offers? Remember, your Gold Points can now also be spent on Nintendo Switch software directly from the eShop, too!

It’d be nice if you could pay a larger amount in coins and get the game completely free.
Wish they would add a discount option for pokken tournament switch just can't bring my self to spend a full $60 on it.
No Crystal?
Wow, minor discounts on Pokémon spinoffs I don’t want. So exciting!
NB4 My Nintendo salt. Edit: Too late.
To those who haven't played Pokemon TCG (GBC) or Pokemon Snap, this is a good incentive to do so. I can't speak for Trozei as I've never played it.
You know what I really need? These games on the Switch.
You know what I REALLY really need? A NEW Pokemon snap
For Switch right? I mean the console has been out for a year and a half and we haven't gotten anything from MyNintendo for it right?
Sarcasm
I miss getting free physical items
....sighs
Remember when My Nintendo was awesome? For like...one day?
My Nintendo is great. We got zelda pic cross years ago
@Tyranexx I love TCG. I think we should get an update of the thing on Switch, I think it’d be perfect.
May have to blow the 30 gold coins on Pokemon Snap and pick it up for $7. For whatever reason my kids have been talking about it a lot lately, must be watching some YT'er play through.
@HobbitGamer: I'd definitely play a newer iteration!
@rjejr: It's certainly worth a look. I played it for the first time 2-3 months ago on the VC. While the graphics (like most N64 games) haven't aged well, the mechanics are still pretty solid.
I’d actually buy Let’s Go Eevee/Pikachu if it had a Pokemon snap minigame. But no, so i’m just gonna wait until Pokemon 2019 on Switch
woooo discounts...
All I’m going to say is we need a new Pokémon Snap... what a GREAT game!
@Tyranexx Thanks, I'll pass it on to the kids.
I still don't get why they didn't make a Pokemon Snap game on Wii U. Would have made great use of the gamepad which never got used to its potential.
@LordMolecule You guys want everything on the Switch and then you'll be complaining about your massive backlog.
@justin233 Nintendo is just greedy with old games no one plays; even Pokemon tcg is free and you get a ton kf stuff if you buy digital packs, worth far more than old base set Pokemon tcg while not bothering to officially translate the sequel that fans have.
The Indies did this completely free a few weeks ago. Thankful for noitu love 2.
@Whalehome That would be something that would actually spark my interest in the Let's Go series. They should embrace the nostalgia and dig up some old gimmicks.
I'd be able to forgive the neutered combat, as long as they brought in a Pokemon Snap-like sub-game to it; bonus points if there was a section of the game devoted to a few minigames, like Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2. I'd easily be able to justify 60 bucks then.
Gold points?
Nope. Already got those games
I already have pokemon snap on my n64 and Wii..... but I guess I'll use up some coins and get it on my Wii u ...
I'd snap up Pokemon TCG on Switch for a 3rd time, happily. Bought it on Game Boy, bought it on 3DS and I'd buy it again on Switch.
Come on Nintendo, this "stupid fanboy" wants to throw his money at you for yet another taste of nostalgia. Let me!
So another month of trash. Thanks Nintendo! 😃
I was playing Pokemon Card Game back in the day but never played the GBC game. Is it any good? Does it give justice to the card game? i find it hard cause of the serious limitations of the hardware. Wish they could make a new TCG for Switch (or 3ds)
@justin233 MyNintendo discounts are pretty much useless at this point. They should give the full game for a fair amount of coins instead.
These discount coupons are weak
We need another pokemon trading card game, but for the switch! (Screw the PC version.) With all cards too! (then update new sets to the game too).
Obviously we can't have old cards playing with new cards so make separate modes between certain sets that could be played together only..............eh you get what I mean right?
(and yes I know this won't happen because of the garbage (no offence) version on PC).
Tbh, the reward system they had in place for the black Wii u console was probably the best. Every cent spent was replaced with points. It only took two or three AAA games to earn the points for another one free of charge. Mynintendo rewards are mainly crap now. Also the gold you get from your purchases aren't worth the effort to even log in to that site anymore. They need to revamp the system they use. Until then, it's dead to me.
@Crono1973 That's a better problem to have.
