Re: Bayonetta 3 Dev Responds To Voice Actor Dispute In Official Statement

@CharlieGirl I wish the company I work for would pay me royalties for every contract they make with their customers.

Also, while we are at that, it would be great to have a USD$1,000 per hour payment, like Taylor was offered. I have to do with only USD$7 per hour.

Voice acting with unions has the standard USD$250 hourly, they were paying 4 times that. I mean, why do you say they aren't already unionized? They are.

Also, royalties for VAs is very rare, and usually comes from indie companies who can't make a big upfront payment easily, so they offer only royalties and a small one time payment.

@Nanoline52 Yeah, they should pay more.

But still, no company will pay anyone a percentage of their earnings, no matter how big their participation in the development of their product/service, etc.

So, if I earn USD$250 HOURLY, I wouldn't actually cry about anything at all. I earn USD$7 hourly, and I hate my work, but I can't do anything about it.

I live in Mexico. And that's all I can do, survive. Can't get many luxuries. My Switch was gifted to me by a friend. My 3DS was bought after saving up for 4 years.

Yeah, companies should pay better. But a percentage of their earnings to every employee? That would be very cool, but not happening anytime soon.

If only they had gyroscope. No motion controls is what keeps me away from these controllers.

Funny how they only mention "don't include HD Rumble, NFC an IR camera or wireless functions", but what bugs me the more is gryo control, and they don't say a thing about the controller not having it, like if it was less important.

I don't care about rumble or amiibos, but god forbids I have to aim in BOTW with a common joystick instead of motion, again.

@Travisemo007 I meant more along the lines of the 2DS XL. It's basically a 3DS XL with a more sturdy design, less prone to error triggers (L & R) but without 3D. Also more ergonomic.

It felt like the best console in the 3DS family, only missing the flagship feature. I actually prefer playing on a 2DS XL more than any 3DS version. Yeah, it's missing 3D, but I can play more comfortably for hours.

@WhiteUmbrella Availability.

My main issue with the Steam Deck is I can't get one because it isn't available in my country, at all. Not even preorders existed here.

Also, can't pay above USD$1,500 for what scalpers ask for getting it imported into my country.

I don't think it will be ever officially released here, either. For example, the Steam Controller was already discontinued, but it never released in my country. Even when it was officially discounted to USD$5, resellers asked no less than USD$100 here.

@UltraZelda64 Since this is actually more of a remake than only a remaster (port with graphical updates), it changes a lot gameplay wise. Controls feel "different". No exactly "more tight", just different.

If you played the original, you'll need to get used to it.

I don't care about rumble, but why can't they add motion?

Otherwise, I'd already have a lot of their controllers. If only they added motion.

This makes it impossible to play several games in some parts. Like BOTW in the motion shrines or shooting arrows.

Some games, I understand, use the own console's gyro for motion when in portable mode, but it's only 1 or 2 out of 100 that do that.

I loved both games when they were launched.

Real reason people didn't like them was because of graphics. Even Zelda fans who had played Twilight Princess and Wind Waker thought graphics were everything and didn't give them a chance just because NDS graphics weren't as shiny as console releases.

People talking bad about the Ocean King dungeon didn't understand what it was about.

https://www.destructoid.com/wii-u-dual-gamepad-support-coming-well-after-launch/

“Games need to be built that can take advantage of the two GamePad controllers,” said Nintendo of America’s president to Gamasutra. “It’s going to be well after launch for those game experiences to come to life.”

Well, Reggie basically confirmed it back in the day, it doesn't sound very ambiguous to me.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes

@Thaliard I don't think it's impossible, given the 5 years the console already got since launch.

Looking at Switch success, a new console retro-compatible with Switch games, but more powerful, makes a lot of sense. For Wii, they did that when they released Wii U, even if it was a failure.

Also, the 3DS was compatible with the DS games, one of the most successful portable gaming devices.

They'll sure make something similar for Switch given its success.
