Videogames are ALREADY another medium for telling stories. It's fair to compare their plots with movies'.

Mario has never been complex in gaming. No reason for it to be complex in a movie.

Also, Shigeru Miyamoto worked closely with Ilumination. Is it wrong if the actual, actual, creator of Mario and Donkey Kong gave the green light to this? So, the Mario father doesn't know his characters enough. Shame on him.

You'll find references even in old movies. Cord phones all over the place, ringing Alexander Graham Bell every painful second. Guns referencing the US 2nd ammendment. And pianos referencing Beethoven!

Movies have been a joke since forever.

Don't let me get started on how The Last of Us HBO series is full of references to The Last of Us game. Shameful!

@CharlieGirl Mario, the game character, by itself would be a big commercial skit, even WITHOUT cameos. The movie by itself is and would be a big commercial no matter how many cameos or references to games were in there.

Unless it wasn't about Mario, the game character, but about Mario, the artistic performer in the streets of God knows where.

I had a 3DS XL. It was my first 3DS console.

And a 2DS XL I got after that 3DS XL broke.

It costed the equivalent of USD$350 where I live. I can't get 5 of them at once like most people here, it seems.

They did remove save states from 3DS releases of Pokemon GB and GBC games and they made local multiplayer possible on them.

This is probably a clip from the movie before Mario gets into the Mushroom Kindgom. It's a fast way to show what they did for a living.

It sounds probable they will add official Gamecube controller support, after they did so for Mario Sunshine in the 3D Collection.

A PDP licensed Wii Fight Pad Pro and an 8bitdo Gbros adapter has been working wonders for me.

The Gbros adapter is hard to get right now, but it works great if you can get it (virtually no lag) with a Wii Classic ProController, which does have ZL, ZR and Minus.

I understand the outrage, but gaming is a luxury.

Can't you pay an extra hour of work? USD$10 is common for a 1 hour of work. Even if not well paid (restaurant employee), that would be 2 or 3 hours of work.

If you can't pay that, you shouldn't game at all, and better keep yourself away from starving. Use the money for buying food.

All games are already the equivalent of USD$75 where I live.

Wow, I didn't know voice actors always look like who their interpret. It explains why Thanos' VA in Avengers movies could only be Thanos himself. There aren't many purple alien people out there, you know.
