Metroid Prime 4 launches one month from today and this is probably all we're going to get at this point. Kirby Air Riders got 1 hour and 45 minutes between two directs, Metroid gets a 60 second "direct". No Prime 2 or Prime 3 to seal the gap. I gotta say i'm a wee bit disappointed, still happy the game is dropping nonetheless but still

Just finished Kirby Star Crossed World, did everything except the final challenge, not sure if i have the patience for it. Up next is Shinobi: Art of Vengeance on S2

My instincts are pointing to Thursday November 6th. With a Prime 2 release on NSO GCN and Prime 3 port with updated controls no full remaster but just visual updates.

You're missing a couple of levels on here. Particularly Search Party Pipe Park in World 4

Can you imagine the pipe dream that is if they shadow drop it today? I feel like at the least we'll get a release date and possibly a demo

@TwinFami i'm trying to be optimistic but hell we've waited eight years at this point what's another one lol. I'm so hopeful it can release in around November seeing as though we have no big releases for the rest of the year

OK so with them pulling the rug out from under us and going with a partner showcase instead I'm thinking Metroid prime 4 is gonna be pushed back to next year 😭

@Fazermint yeah I've definitely noticed the CPU difficulty is a bit more unfair this time around, albeit not impossible but a lot more cheesy, especially in the knockout tour mode. I've even noticed in a lot of repeat races that the blue shells will hit me in generally the same part of the track each time

I'm excited at the prospect of being able to get a pre-order in I just wish these retailers would give us the time that the pre-orders are gonna go live so I have a chance before all the bots come in and steal them

Wish I could have my $30 back. Started it this morning, beat it in 90 mins. No unlockables, no additional gameplay elements, just play the same 6 stages again on a different difficulty. Worst purchase of the year so far.

It's 9am on the east coast here in the states and still at 1.0.4, they announce it and then don't even push it out lol.

I think what pissed me off the most is somehow automatic updates got turned back on my switch and my tears of the kingdom got updated so no more item duplication for this guy

I'm definitely hoping for a teaser trailer with some gameplay footage at the February direct and I would absolutely welcome a shadow drop of Prime 2 and 3 even if they're not remastered and just polished up a bit with non-motion controls I'll be one happy dude

I had thought of an of an idea to introduce 16 robot masters, 2 per stage where you choose which one to fight based on the path you take, making replayability a bigger than and having different endings.

And im assuming theres no way to revert back to 1.1.1?

Although it is an amazing, beautiful and innovative game that adds a few new layers to an already perfect predecessor....it's just too damn big of a game. Gaming worlds do not need to be this expansive.

The Metroid Samus Returns one

For me theres frustration from a game’s difficulty and there’s frustration from the game being broken and/or glitchy.

I played this in EA on Steam. It was pretty good. Hopefully they polished it up for Switch release. I give it 7.5/10

LOZ: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Mega Man X and Super Mario World every December

Here we are on December 27th 2022, almost 7 months after launch. Load times and frame rate are still horrendous. It’s like the developers released and never looked back. Albeit, it’s version 6.0 but none of the major complaints im experiencing were resolved.

Merry 20 year Birthday Metroid Prime! I still have my hopes set high to play you fully Remastered!

@Freek I highly recommend a 4k tv that supports 120 gHz or higher to get the best performance. To date, No game on PS5 looks this gorgeous.

@Freek you shall not be disappointed. I am 20 hours in and savoring every moment, from the scenery to the lore, everything is just monumental in this game. Not looking forward to beating it.

@HOUSE Have this on my PS5 wishlist for these reasons. As far as an enhancement for the Switch, it would be nice to see Nintendo pull out all the stops to make the successor/upgrade powerful. Perhaps it may not be as powerful as the steam deck but i would gladly drop $400-500 on a powerful hybrid unit if Nintendo wises up to the advances in technology

Mine was watching my dad get to Mother Brain on NEStroid. The music compared with the horrific terror that was the titular stationary brain gave me nightmares. I was afraid to go into his room to watch him play that game again for years
