Re: Random: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Player Builds A Fully-Functional In-Game Adder

@smithyo

Feels pointless to be able to build what you want and have control mixing items and weapons?

You do realize that it all has a purpose right? Put ice on a shield and it glides and so on and so on. Maybe you just don't get the level of detail, the amount of thought that went into this game is pure magic.

TOTK is a true next gen game, You have true freedom, amazing physics and building.

There is layers and layers of possibilities in this game, the world feels real, the story, the challenges.

Even if you don't care to make things, TOTK is BOTW but better, much better.

A gimmick it is not, this is gaming at its finest. A masterpiece.

@YoshiF2 Obviously TOTK is the latest in the Zelda franchise and builds off of everything it pioneered before it.

We are talking over 35 years being the game to beat and BOTW settled the dispute once and for all.

Now TOTK takes everything that was great about BOTW and superchargers it. Nothing comes close to Zelda in every category.

The freedom in this game will be mind bending to everyone except the folks who can't handle it.

TOTK will break records, be number 1 and will have the limelight.

The only game that will come close to the excitement will be GTA6.

Trend setter in what way? I don't know, how about the first open world game? First to have a functional combat system in 3d?
Minecraft did not invent crafting in games, goes back to the 80s, and look at the way TOTK is doing it? Completely new. Not something done in a menu, it's done in real time and goes above and beyond anything before it.

Also look at Super Metriod and the map rooms. That evolved into the same effect as the towers, not the other way around.
Speaking of the towers, BOTW also Implemented it into a puzzle, a challenge to get to the top. Part of the game play.

If you aren't excited to play TOTK, be amazed at what they did, then I would say you are out of touch and not a real gamer.

@NEStalgia You do not know what your talking about but sure like to sound like you do. I HATE people who spread dis-info. The dreamcast set preorder records, and after launch set entertainment records. Heck, it even made it into the guiness book of world records. Retailers loved it. Snoopdog rapped about it. It was a big deal. I bought one on launch along with a line around the block. Major publications site its piracy as what doomed it. All because of windows CE. Its a FACT, not my opinion.
The dreamcast had the best line up, 2k sports, acade faithful ports and built-in modem. Even the web browser was cutting edge. The dreamcast still holds up nice today and in someways had a technical advantage over the PS2.

Re: Switch Hackers Declare That a Homebrew Launcher Will Be Available 'Soon'

Nintendo-or-Noth

@sremik

Hacking a Switch is not good for gamers at this point. Sure, maybe (maybe not) your the one guy in a MILLION who installs homebrew for just because you can? The reality is the Switch is the hotspot where a developer can make some money and help push Nintendo back to the top and allow some Independence to actual actually make it in the marketplace. Even the people that want to put ROMs on a switch are sidestepping Nintendo eShop and the upcoming virtual console and it is BOOTLEGGING. Think about it.
