It doesn't look much better than the Gamecube version anyway. Since I have the GC version, I'll pass on this unless the PC version has the option to upscale to 2K.
Also, why not remake Resident Evil 2 and 3 with updated graphical grandeur? We've been wanting that ever since 2002.
There should be an option to have the original physics when using the original style. For crying out loud. And also, they better include the Super Mario World style in the finished product, heck, why not all styles? There is something wrong if they can't pull that off.
Ocarina Of Time for the win. However, Link's Awakening DX was also very memorable, so it would have to take second place for me, then A Link To The Past.
I hope the Stream (or whatever..) comes out this year. Who cares if it's released the same year as the 3DS? Both will continue to sell well alongside each other. And oh yeah, Nintendo.. get rid of the damn gimmicky controller screen.. And let the Wii have the damned Skyward Sword, and give us 'Streamers' a kick-ass graphical powerhouse, 360 and PS3 walloping, new Zelda! Oh yeah...
Oh yeah, it needs to happen ASAP. The Wii sucks right now. Graphics are a major factor for most people, so they better take into consideration the fact that Microsoft and Sony will be upping their capabilities as well with their next gen. I would hate to see Nintendo a step or two behind again...
@Ryno: Hey, I'm in too, mine is the 13th of June. This is what I've been waiting for, an updated Ocarina of Time... Even though I completed the original on the N64 around about 11 or 12 times..
I wanted to get Pilotwings when I heard about it... until I saw the dreaded (by me and many others I'm sure) Wu- fricken Hu Island). That's it Nintendo..! What the 'beep' is up with you guys, huh? You think rehashing the same old crap over and over will help your image? This is not, I repeat, not the kind of Pilotwings (on SNES and N64) I know and love.
I hope they have the story as non-linear for the most part. Being able to control (to a reasonable extent) what and/or how events transpire in the game would be better than the structure they have had for too long.
I got through the game far too quickly. Yes, there are some challenging areas, but nothing a veteran Mario player couldn't handle. I have to say that the same music gets played too frequently throughout many levels also. As I finished the game, I had over 80 lives remaining... Still, after all that, it was a fun experience, and truly one of the best games on the Wii thus far. I really did love the nods to the past games. Ahhh... nostalgia. 9.1/10.
But one day, the world will go completely cashless, in the tangible sense anyway.. So the tin will just be a holding container for collectors of such currency.
@MattL: You're not even in Expert mode yet, wait for that one... Ahhh, I loved Pilotwings as a child, and still do. I think Stuffgamer1 is just not very good at these Mode 7 style games. But I don't know how he can think it is complicated. The game is fairly basic as a sim. But it may also be the wind factor in other plane levels that have put him and others like him, off.
I had a brief play of both Metroid Prime, and Corruption. Both were fun to play. Of course the 3rd was the best. So, because I've barely played the games, and haven't touched Echoes, I've pre-ordered a copy which will be released by EB games on the 15th of October here in Australia.
Wii owners are among the best gamers you could play alongside.. The Wii is amateurish? Oh yeah, like the games on the 360 and PS3 are really, really hard to complete and need a superb level of skill.. what a laugh.
The Natal has potential. Could be really well done, you can still hold a wheel in your hands for racing games. Or you could use a gun-like peripheral for FPS. I don't see any problem with FPS with Natal, even though I've read numerous comments to the contrary.
@Revolver, since the others are likely busy playing MM right now, I'll say that the GC controller is the best for this game and for all like it. The GC pad is one of the best gamepads ever made.
@MegaMX4: If you have both consoles setup somewhere in your home, why complain about having to switch over from one to the other? Things are already very convenient in the gaming department. All I have to do is pick up my 360 controller and hold that X-logo down for a bit and voila, I have quick access to my XBLA games, which include the Banjo games. With the VC, it's just a stretch of the ol' arm to pick up the remote in my small tv cabinet to play the VC games... I understand your point for those with only the Wii though.
But oh man... Perfect Dark online multi on the 360 will be cool. I only wish I could plug in an N64-like controller to it..

I'm going to import this if it isn't here locally.

Ocarina Of Time for the win. However, Link's Awakening DX was also very memorable, so it would have to take second place for me, then A Link To The Past.

@eleccross Ditto here. He sounds like a real ****head.

Too bad the face is dog ugly. Put Daisy's face on, and it will be 10 times better.
Re: E3 2014: LA Times Reveals Hot Scoop of New White PlayStation 4 From Nintendo
Perhaps an alternate universe where the Nintendo-Sony deal actually went ahead, has seeped into our own.

I'm 25, turning 26 in June and I own one... And will be playing it whenever and wherever I damn well like.
Re: Jill and Wesker Show Their Moves in New Resi: Mercenaries Video
really lookin' good
Re: Review: Pilotwings Resort (3DS)
Why those graphics? I'm pleased the 3DS was made, but def disappointed with this game from what I've read and seen so far.

Re: New Zelda for Wii confirmed for release in 2010
Well, it's about time we heard more on this. I'll be glad to spend hours and hours of my life with it.
Re: Legend Of Zelda TV Series Hits Hulu
LOL at the video...
I loved the Zelda games and I was always excited to watch the cartoon when it came on. Even if he did say that phrase at least once in every episode.
Re: Review: Stunt Race FX (Super Nintendo)
Loved this game. Played it at a friend's house back in the day, and eventually bought it off him if I recall correctly. It really was a fun game.
Re: Nintendo: We Don't Want To Remake Past Zelda Games
Yeah, good point from Aonuma.
Re: Giant Mario Coins Hidden in Aussie CBDs
Wiiman, forget school. Oh yeah, and they never have these special events and such in Tassie..

Re: New Super Mario Bros. Wii Packaging Is All Kinds Of Awesome
Yes it is all kinds of awesome. Picked it up today after work, have yet to actually play it, but read the manual and oogled the disc. Thumbs up!
Re: New GoldenEye Title in Development?
I would have to agree with you there Corbie. It's just like what I was thinking.

Re: Nintendo Download: Pilotwings, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Pop Plus, Arkanoid and Bit.Trip (EU)
Excellent. Just as I have been recently complaining about about the lack of the Pilotwings games, here's the original SNES game. Thanks Ninty!
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Game Boy)
The DX version on the Game Boy Color was also my first ever Game Boy game I owned. May as well start with the best, right?
Yeah, good memories of that excellent game.
Re: Nintendo Download: Phantasy Star, Flipnote Studio, Sujin Taisen, Rattle Battle and Slot Car Racing (EU)
I'm still waiting for Pilotwings games. Or HSV (Beetle) Adventure Racing.
Re: Nintendo are 'very impressed' with Monster Hunter 3's Graphics
I don't think so Aviator. Anyway, not too shabby in the still shots, I haven't seen it running, but it's decent for the Wii.
Re: Box Art: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Probably get this sometime..

It's a good idea. This is a good deal.
Re: Nintendo Download: Masks, Crystals, Chess and Art (US)
okay
Re: Nintendo Download: Masks, Crystals, Chess and Art (US)
@RevolverLink: No problem, did you want to know because you don't have a GC controller?

I'd like to see an updated Wii Bowling.

@Bones: haha.. yeah, that's probably true.
Re: Nintendo Download: Masks, Crystals, Chess and Art (US)
Wow, heaps of comments. As expected for this release in the States.
Re: Prepare To Gnash Those Teeth: Perfect Dark May Be XBLA-bound
@Devastator, Yeah, if you have a hard time coming across a copy, and you don't have, nor will get an Xbox 360.

If Perfect Dark is going to have multi online, it will be worth purchasing again.
Re: OFLC Update: Super Mario Kart Finally Coming!
I loved Pilotwings, although I probably have it somewhere... around.. here.. Woo! Look out!
(OoT carpenters in the Gerudo fortress referential joke).
Super Mario Kart was (stressing on the "was") cool too, used to play it at a friend's place. I wonder how it's gonna hold up..
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
@03bgood
The game has not crashed for me (been through it all), and I am in PAL territory.
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
@Kuruku,
Spot on. The N64 Zelda games really did have something special... sigh.
Re: F-Zero GX
Those graphics hold up well even today..
